House holiday rentals in Carbeth

Andy’s house is fantastic for a celebration weekend. Twelve of us stayed there comfortably and there is so much public space that it’s easy to do different things yet assemble for meals. The view from the conservatory and garden is stunning. We had one person in a wheelchair and the house worked well for him too. Andy and Joan were welcoming and helpful.

Host was very friendly with very good communication throughout. On arrival the host made it very easy to get into the lodge and came in and explained all amenities on site and was very polite. Overall, throughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend and return.

Recently visited Pleasant Hill for Hen Weekend. We had previously been let down by another house and Chris was extremely helpful and reassuring. 17 of us stayed for the weekend and the house was perfect for what we needed it for. Chris was in constant contact with me, gave plenty of recommendations for local amenities and attractions and was flexible on check in and check out times. For such a large party, buying food was a concern of mines but he suggested we do an online shop beforehand and offered to collect it and put it away for us before we arrived. This really was a massive help and greatly appreciated, it was one less worry and concern I had in the run up to the weekend. Our bride and all guests had a fantastic weekend. Thank you!

We had a lovely long weekend at Tarken House. The views are beautiful. The house is spacious, well stocked and easily accommodated the 10 of us, all adults. House was lovely and warm and very clean. Beds are very comfortable and good size en-suites. Jonathon was very quick to respond to any queries we had. Would highly recommend Tarken House and definitely be back again.

We loved the house and Drymen. The added bonus of the use of the pool, sauna and jacuzzi was brilliant. The house was comfortable and homely. Drymen was a lovely little village with lovely pubs, cafes and walks. Along the road there was a beautiful view out over Loch Lomond. I would really recommend. Jim was super helpful and let us in a little bit early, thank you so much.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, Douglas is an attentive host who was available when needed. The bungalow was equipped with everything we needed for cooking and resting which was much appreciated as our stay was over Christmas! Douglas very kindly gifted some wine and chocolates and he was there for our arrival to show us around the house, giving some useful information on nearby shops, places to eat and things to do. We were unfortunate with the weather; however, the bungalow was very cosy and thoughtfully decorated for Christmas and time spent inside looking out at the fabulous views made up for it!

Had an amazing stay at this beautiful cottage 2 nights were not enough to fully appreciate the internal and external space. Very homely feeling.

The accommodation was as described. Beds were very comfortable and shower system excellent for 4 of us. Beautiful park nearby and public transport easy to access.

You absolutely have to choose Claire’s place! Beautiful house with breathtaking views from the bedroom and lounge. Very responsive, helpful & generous. Beautiful town and easily accessible from the accommodation. Super comfortable beds & very spacious house throughout: bedrooms, lounge, bathroom & kitchen. When we come back to Scotland from Australia we will make the trip back to Claire’s!

What a wonderful weekend! The house was just lovely, ideal for us 2 families. we had a wedding nearby, the house had great space, lots of mirrors, hooks for clothes, storage was great and the kids loved their bunk beds! It was a short and sweet visit but really hope to come back, the house had everything we needed and more. Thanks so much for hosting us!

Wow! Wow! Wow! We were totally blown away by how amazing this place is. What a beautiful, characterful home. Very easy space to relax in, with everything you need and more. Stunning location. Sitting in the window or on the front porch the views were mesmerising. Half an hour to Loch Lomond and The Cobbler. Discovered the sailing club across the road and watched sailing races while enjoying a G&T. Brian the host is so helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here and would stay here again when we visit this part of Scotland. Thank you for a wonderful trip.

Amazing place to stay for a group of 7 including children. Aliona is a great host and proactive in reaching out as well as responding to any queries. House is at 20 min distance to Loch Lomond by car and is situated in an urban yet quiet beautiful neighborhood by the canal. Would surely recommend to stay and will be back again. 👍

Absolute perfection- already trying to find dates to return. Beds were extremely comfortable, the place was completely spotless, property extensively spacious and the views! Oh my god, the views! Kitchen well catered for- Inc a Bosch coffee machine you should buy pods for. There is also a Webber kettle bbq outside. Hot tub was modern and just such a treat after the Glen Tarken hike. The cottage was beautiful! Location is peaceful and private. Marianne's instructions to get to the cottage were very helpful and made it easier to find the cottages. The cottages were clean, neat and tidy giving us ample of space to use. The views from the cottage are spectacular even our kitten enjoyed the views! The location was perfect for us to drive around other places in the highlands and discover local areas. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back! Thank you Marianne for the wonderful stay. Nice private location, plenty of kitchen equipment and storage and always plenty of hot water. Was good to see sheep/lambs, deer and even a fox from the window and we enjoyed the hot tub. Only drawback was that we were unable to walk anywhere from the property , however there are shops and facilities a very short drive away.

We had a lovely stay at Riley’s cottage. The house was comfortable and cosy on rainy Scottish days with the log fire on and we enjoyed the beautiful garden when the sun came out. It is in a quiet location with nature on your doorstep, we felt calm and peaceful throughout our stay. Riley was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended.

Great place for a big family or group of friends. We enjoyed the pub around the corner, the park right next to the place and Balloch in general. Supermarket very close by and Anne was super responsive. The place needs a good deep clean (kitchen, floors and bedrooms) and some TLC here and there but Anne was an excellent host, very responsive, friendly and helpful.

We stayed for a week for my partners birthday and had the most incredible time. The views were stunning and you could just sit all day and watch the wildlife on the lake! Beds were comfy and had all the amenities you needed. We didn’t want to leave!

I seriously want to gatekeep this house, but it is so incredible and needs to be shared. I would go out of my way to stay here again. Probably the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. There were so many welcoming touches and it truly felt like home. The beds were comfortable, the rooms so spacious, the showers amazing (my gosh the water pressure, what a dream). We had everything we needed and more. The home and grounds were just stunning. We walked to dinner two of our nights and ate in the others. The history of the carriage house was so cool; the kids loved finding all of the hidden touches. Kylie and Scott were warm and friendly and we are so grateful they shared their home with us. We had the best hiking trip in beautiful Scotland and we were very sad to leave. I definitely hope to be booking a return trip soon.

What an amazing flat! We came for a wedding in the area and this was a perfect place stay. The views are unreal from the flat and there is a great outdoor area for sitting with a wine and admiring the loch. In addition, the flat was clean, beautifully decorated and so comfortable. 10/10 recommend Christine’s place!

Cosy Corner has a compact design and was very clean. The bedroom on the first floor had a lovely connected bathroom. The bed was king sized for taller folk. Downstairs there is also powder room. The renovations and colour schemes on the cottage are delightful. Good access to surrounding suburbs of Glasgow which was important to our stay.

Linda’s place is quiet, comfortable, well modernised and very well equipped. It is ideal for up to four people. A branch of the Co-op is close by and Bishopton has lots of take-aways. Free parking at the station is a real bonus.
