Family-friendly holiday rentals in Čara

This space was really special for our stay on Hvar. The view of the sea is stunning from the two separate balconies and the hot tub. The apartment is tidy and modern, giving you walkable access to both the gown and nearby Pokonji Dol. Would love to stay here again!

Villa Belpur is a lovely large, modern villa with a spectacular pool area that’s even better than the pictures. Set back from the road near Pitve, the location is beautiful. Communication with owner Tina at Tranquilladria was mostly excellent, including all sorts of very helpful local info, recommendations and bookings. We used the driver, Marko, for nights out in Hvar (book in advance) and Jelsa which worked really well, we also had a hire car which we’d recommend as there’s lots nearby but not easily walkable. We were disappointed to be told only on check-in by the local property manager that the hot tub was inoperative. That said, Tina subsequently offered compensation and even made efforts to arrange some time for us in a local spa which was very much appreciated, and overall we really enjoyed our time at Belpur and would recommend it for larger parties in particular.

Es war einfach nur schön! Das Apartment, die Aussicht, die Küste, der Garten - einfach alles! Dank Nebensaison waren wir fast alleine und haben die Zweisamkeit genossen. Ivan war super höflich und hilfsbereit! Das Sahnehäubchen war für uns der super süße schielende Kater, der auf einmal auftauchte. Nicht nur seinetwegen werden wir sicherlich nochmal wiederkommen!

1 van de beste air bnb's waar ik ooit ben verbleven. Natali is super vriendelijk, denkt mee en heeft een top appartement. Echt alles is aanwezig wat je maar nodig kan hebben. Afstand naar de stad is ongeveer 10 minuten, wel wat hoogteverschil maar heel goed te doen! Natali, bedankt voor alles!

Amazing, spacious accommodation with a lovely terrace overlooking the beach and close to all the local amenities. Super restaurants within walking distance and good recommendations from the host who were friendly and responsive. We had a fantastic time. Thank you!

Le logement correspond en tout point à l'annonce. Il est très bien équipé. Nous n'avons malheureusement pas eu le temps de tester la piscine et le jacuzzi mis à notre entière disposition. A notre arrivée, Ivan nous a chaleureusement accueillis, nous a expliqué ce qu'il fallait savoir sur l'appartement, et a pris le temps de nous montrer tout ce qu'il y avait à voir dans le parc et le reste de l'île de Mljet ! L'appartement, situé dans un havre de paix dans un petit hameau très calme, est pratique car très proche des deux lacs du parc national. La communication avec Ivan a toujours été au top. Nous le remercions grandement pour son accueil et sa gentillesse. Location fortement recommandée !!!

I would highly recommend this air bnb! The location is top tier and has a great view of Hvar. Josipa is a fantastic host who went above and beyond with picking us up and dropping us off near the port.

Maya, her son, and father are amazing!!! Very friendly and accommodating. We spent the most time here during our 2 week Euro trip. Fantastic views from the balcony and a great place to relax with lounge chairs and a table to eat at. Right on the water with a great walk down to the shore where you can jump right into the sea! Space was modern, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was SO nice. By far the nicest bathroom of anywhere we stayed. Maya's father took us out on his boat with his beagle. It was amazing. He knew the best spots, shared cool information/stories. It was a very authentic/non touristy experience. Maya let us borrow snorkel gear and that was beyond awesome because we snorkeled in the sea by the house but also on our boat trip which was truly special. She also provided homemade olive oil which was divine. WONDERFUL experience and stay.

Tamara et Zoran Nous ont très bien reçu. L’appartement est en tout point conforme aux descriptions et nous a beaucoup plu. Nous le recommandons chaudement. Les conseils prodigués par Zoran étaient très utiles.

The family were lovely and it was nice to visit their winery. The apartment was as described and very peaceful. Great value for money.

Everything about our stay was amazing! The apartment is so cute, stylish, and comfortable, exactly what we were hoping for. The host was incredibly kind, responsive, and made everything super easy. Communication was smooth from start to finish. We felt so welcome and at home. We’ll definitely be back and we highly recommend it!

Lovely apartment right by the waterside. Comfortable apartment with all you need and with a lovely terrace with sea views. Standout feature is the private swimming jetty - wonderful for a swim after a day out but also a great place to just sit and watch the boats. We didn’t have a car, the Old Town and restaurants are about a 15 minute walk around the coast though with lovely views along the way. There is a small shop about 5 mins walk away but bigger stores near the Old Town. Kristina welcomed us with homemade cake and liqueur and also brought us homemade biscuits a few days later. Kristina is very friendly and lives upstairs with her mother so always on hand if you need anything. This is a great place to stay.

We were looked after by Dina's cousin Antea, who was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. She looked out for us and made sure we had everything we needed. The accommodation was well equipped and spotlessly clean and comfortable. The view down to the harbour from the living room window and outside seating area was lovely. It was a five minute walk down to the harbour with its selection of restaurants and a supermarket - a few more minutes walking back up because you have a slope to climb, but that should not deter anyone who is averagely fit. We took a water taxi from Lumbarda harbour right to the edge of pedestrianised Korcula Old Town, which cost 15 euros return and ran every 30 minutes. This was nicer than going by road and not too unreasonable considering that parking anywhere near the town costs 5 euros an hour. The Old Town is beautiful and a more relaxing, less touristy and so more atmospheric version of Dubrovnik with lots of nice art studios.

The other reviews are totally accurate. Marinas place was magical. It was the best trip we’ve ever been on and it was the first with our 18 mo daughter. Marina gave us her milk for our baby! Marina was extremely friendly, funny, and had perfect communication. She did our laundry for us too!! (She even removed a tough stain from our baby’s shirt!!). We could not have asked for a better vacation or a better host.

This is one of the best Airbnb’s we have stayed in! The location is perfect - even though you have to climb some stairs, that is everywhere in Hvar. The view is incredible and we spent a lot of time on the balcony. The balcony is not completely private but if you have considerate neighbours, this shouldn’t be a problem. Kitchenette has everything you need for some basic dinners at home. Apartment was clean and communication from the host was clear and quick with great recommendations! I wish I could have stayed longer - so so worth it.

Fabulous beach house vibe. We absolutely loved staying right on the beach - beautiful sunlit mornings, spectacular sunsets and easy to swim (even if the water was a little chilly!). Short easy walk into the chilled out village of Drasnice with relaxing seafront cafes. Excellent location on the Makarska Riviera with easy access (by car) to amazing beaches like Punta Rata at Brela. If you fancy a bit of adventure, it's also convenient for the Bikovo National Park with its dramatic Skywalk. Emi was a very kind host, giving us homemade bread and cookies and even a souvenir gift at the end of our stay. Her son Rato was also very helpful and quickly responded to our request for more towels. The house is a cosy beach cottage, quite rustic but very cute. The kitchen is small and doesn't have an oven so it challenged our cooking skills a bIt but we got on fine and there is a dishwasher, washing machine and great shower.

C'était un super séjour. Peta est très accueillant. Hyper réactif, attentionné ! Nous avons passé un agréable séjour. Brusje est un petit village paisible en plein cœur des champs de lavande. Accessible en scooter depuis Hvar. Le logement est propre, la terrasse privative est top pour des dîners face aux couchers de soleil. Et la piscine au milieu du jardin est idéal pour se rafraîchir. Rien à dire sur ce logement ! Il est juste parfait. N'oubliez pas de passer au coin de la rue faire un coucou à la maman de Peter. Elle vend des produits à base de lavande. Elle est très chaleureuse et gentille ! Je recommande les yeux fermés ! Merci encore.

One of the best places we’ve stayed. The place was clean and spacious inside, but we spent most of the time in the beautiful outdoor area. The kids (8 & 11) played for hours in the pool and in the ocean and we enjoyed the lounge chairs. Vinko also gave us great restaurant recommendations. Would be our first stop on our next trip to Croatia.

We stayed at Lana's place for 5 days and it was the best decision. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed, there was also a huge balcony which gets the sun for most of the day and overlooks the pool. The pool was incredible. The location couldn't be better - you are a 5 minute walk away from the port of Hvar. Lana gave us wonderful recommendations for restaurants and beaches while we were there. We are so grateful for their hospital, her and her husband were lovely! Would definitely stay here again!

The house is located in the quiet part of Hvar, supermarket is 10 minutes away, to town center 15 minutes by foot with a beautiful view. The house is perfect to enjoy and relax, beautiful view, swimming pool...everything you need to enjpy and disconnect! Filip is a great host, always available when needed and always friendly! Will come back for sure!

Piękne i spokojne miejsce, cisza i bezpieczeństwo. Nocą piękne widoki nieba oraz sen na tarasie. Dobre miejsce wypadowe na zwiedzanie wyspy. Posiadłość spełniła nasze oczekiwania. Dziękujemy Fani.

Mario’s villa was the perfect escape for my group of friends. The home is tucked away on a very private street close to the main attractions on the island. Everything we needed was provided by Mario such as towels, soap, as well as plates, glassware, etc. for a meal at home. I highly suggest you book the private chef that Mario recommends - it wound up being one of the best meals of our trip, if not ever. The pool and backyard was perfect for lounging in the sun. I could not be more satisfied with our stay, it was truly an amazing experience that will not be forgotten. If you don’t rent a car, I would suggest bringing comfortable shoes as you need to walk up and down hill to get to and from town.

Fantastisch sfeervol huis op een prachtige rustige locatie. Smaakvol ingericht interieur, een goed en volledig uitgeruste keuken. De bedden slapen heerlijk en de badkamers zijn lekker ruim. En als kers op de taart een groot en schoon zwembad wat in de avond sfeervol verlicht is. Zarko is een relaxte en super vriendelijk host die snel reageert. Kortom, het huis is echt een aanrader.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and could not have asked for a nicer view, pool area, or access to the sea. Ivo was very responsive and thoughtful and made us feel welcomed and right at home. This side of the island was very peaceful and beautiful. It is very close to the Prigradica catamaran port with a boat taking you directly to Hvar. We were here in late May and we did not realize that it was right before the peak season in terms of available buses and catamarans to get to old town Korcula. No ubers on the island and taxis were very pricey so I would recommend renting a car (which Ivo had recommended to us), especially in the months outside of peak season. Overall, though, we had an amazing experience in Ivo’s pristinely clean home.
