We loved Hygge By The Sea! It was a lovely one story home (one flight of stairs to access the house as is usual for the OBX) that fit our family perfectly. The house was spotless and so comfortable. We loved the laid back vibe and everyone felt right at home. Its location ocean front can't be beat.

Michael and Maria were very informative at every juncture along the way. They responded quickly when we asked for recommendations. The house was beautiful and in a perfect location. Thank you for a memorable vacation!

We had a great three night stay, my three adult children and I. The beach was surprisingly almost ours to ourselves. For an older traditional OBX house, it was well updated and very well appointed. The central floor plan is very open. I love it when you can be in the kitchen cooking while talking to everybody in the living area and those around the dinner table at the same time. Awesome view of the ocean off the back deck. We sat in the hot tub and still see the ocean. Im sometimes leary of hot tubs at the beach, a lot of times they are not well maintained. Danielle's was spotless and the water chemistry was perfect and safe. There was absolutely nothing we needed or any place where we needed to go that was not within a 5-minute drive. All of my family are fisherman. if you like to fish, there's not a better place to stay. getting from the house to the beach to surf fish takes less than a minute. we walked up to the OBX Pier several times to fish, probably less than a 5 minute walk.

This was our second year at Serene Retreat. It’s just such a wonderful place for young children to enjoy the beach. The fenced in yard is great for their outdoor play. We enjoy cooking in the fabulous kitchen and feasting at the table with a view. Better than any restaurant around! Thank you again.

This place is perfect! Tucked away from the touristy areas, yet only 7 mins to beaches. House is kept in immaculate condition, even the garage was clean and able to keep my car in there. We loved that they left a pamphlet of their favorite places and we hit a few of them, and they were indeed awesome. If we head back to Duck, we will be booking Chloes Cottage again!

Gia was an excellent host and her place was everything we hoped for and more. Some of the most beautiful ocean views in the area and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We’ve already recommended her to some of our closest friends…and now to you also!

Really enjoyed our stay in the outer banks. Travis was super responsive and helpful and check in/check out was painless. House was well stocked with everything we could need and was very clean on arrival. Coffee shop was less than a block away, which was nice in the morning. Beach was just a few blocks away and the access had a ramp, which was nice for the wagon and stroller. No ramp on the beach side but if you go down one more access to Admiral, there is a flat beach entry. Back yard area with fire pit and grill was great for relaxing. We will definitely be staying here again next time we are in the outer banks.

We had a great time staying here. It was closely located to everything we could possibly need. It was cozy to stay in on days it rained. The neighborhood was peaceful and safe with a walking trail nearby for our dog. Also, the place was stocked with so many kitchen amenities I was shocked! There was a Nespresso, Keurig, Ninja, frother, etc. We were able to save money and eat in more than we expected with all the kitchen necessities already there!

Thank you for everything! The only problem we had was an outside deck blind blew down during the night, but it really didn’t affect the trip and didn’t look damaged..my mom left a note about it I believe…otherwise, great experience overall and would definitely recommend

We had a great stay at Toes in the Sand. It was even better than pictured. I was originally worried from the photos that maybe you couldn’t see the ocean from the main living floor, but you absolutely can see the ocean from nearly everywhere in the house. It’s lovely. Such a charming house, quiet, beautiful beach, and near enough to groceries, gas, and anything else you’d need. Also, had a great Oceanside dinner at Fish Heads <30 min north! Amazing house, great location and everything that was promised. The house was easy to access and Josh was very responsive to any questions we had. The house was beautiful and clean. The outdoor area and pool were great for relaxing and enjoying the weather. Quick walk to the beach. Would love to stay here again next year. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The house was spotless and perfectly maintained. Everything was just as promised in the listing.

This is our 2nd time staying at Tiffany’s lovely cottage and it was just as amazing as the 1st time. Great location, very clean - such a wonderful little spot. We will be returning again 😊

I can't say enough positive things about Anthony or Diamond Shells. Beautiful beach front home. Do understand that, while the walk to the beach is very short, it is quite sloped - this is the case for every single beachfront home due to the topography. The house was absolutely perfect, and so was Anthony. Very responsive host and answered all questions very promptly and graciously.

Our stay at changing tides in the Outer Banks was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning ocean views and the short 30 second walk to the pristine beach. The house itself is a perfect blend of coastal charm and modern comfort, with a fabulous kitchen, hot tub, and very well appointed living spaces. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the thoughtful touches made our vacation effortless and relaxing. The location in Duck was ideal—close to local restaurants, shops, and attractions like iconic duck donuts haha, nearby cute places to eat , yet tucked away in a peaceful neighborhood. The host was incredibly responsive. We will definitely return.

The name speaks true! It really is a beautiful hidden gem in Avon. From its ideal location to everything, to all the amenities the host provide. This location has been the best I’ve had the pleasure of staying at. It made my boyfriend’s birthday weekend and our friends loved it! David & Misty are truly wonderful hosts. Thank you again! 😊

We came to Rodanthe to relax and that’s exactly what we did. This is the only Airbnb in the Outer Banks that we’ve considered staying at again. This rental house was more like a home which is rare to find at the beach. So many thoughtful extras to make your stay more enjoyable. The outdoor shower was everything. I didn’t use the shower inside our whole stay. The hot tub was clean and heated up quickly. The master bed was very comfortable. We spent a lot of time on the deck talking, laughing, playing games, and enjoying the sounds of the ocean and the breeze. Beach access is right in front of the house which made for a very short walk back to use the bathroom or get a drink. I appreciated having just one flight of stairs to walk my senior dogs up and down to go to the bathroom. The host was very prompt getting back to me and answering all of my questions. We had a slight issue that was out of the host’s control but they did everything in their power to make it right.

We had a Wonderful stay in Hatteras at Wendy’s place. Right across the street from the ocean. Quiet neighborhood and all the locals are very friendly. Beds slept so comfortable! Would stay there again.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this Airbnb. From the moment we arrived, the host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their thoughtfulness and hospitality truly stood out—everything from helpful local tips to the little touches around the house made us feel right at home. The location was exactly what we were looking for: peaceful, quiet, and private. We loved that the beaches were just a short walk away—perfect for morning strolls or relaxing evenings by the water. And the front porch had the most amazing view of the sunrise and sunset. The house itself was cozy and incredibly inviting. It had everything we needed and more. You can tell a lot of care and intention has gone into creating a space where guests can truly unwind. We’re already dreaming of our next trip back. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing escape with a top-notch host!

Had a great stay for our honeymoon, was very clean, the house was cute and cozy, close to everything, just a short walk to the beach. Highly recommend staying here.

Mark and Paul's place is beautiful. it is unfortunate that one of the properties across the road is in rough shape, but all other nearby properties are in excellent condition. The yard overlooking the canal is gorgeous. Do note that as with most properties in OBX, a flight of stairs is necessary to enter the house. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and the bedrooms are extremely comfortable. Everything was spotless. We, unfortunately had rain, much of the time we were there, but did enjoy the exploring we could do. Absolutely recommend Sunrise Seafood, the fresh shrimp, crab cakes and swordfish were fabulous! Froggy Dog, ok, but not spectacular. We did enjoy Oceanas Bistro...especially the fresh tuna griller! Mark and Paul are not new to Air BNB and their attention to detail shows.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I booked this OBX Airbnb while I was deployed, with the goal of reconnecting with my family and soaking up some much-needed beach time. This trip was exactly what I needed, and the experience exceeded my expectations in every way. The Airbnb itself was cozy and comfortable, located in a perfect spot to enjoy both the calm of the area and easy access to all the nearby attractions. The host made sure everything was clean and well-stocked, and the house had all the amenities we could ask for. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the beautiful weather, and the proximity to the beach made it so easy to just step outside and relax by the water. It was the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure—spending time with my loved ones, soaking in the OBX vibes, and checking out some local gems. If you're considering a trip to the Outer Banks, this Airbnb is a fantastic choice. Highly recommend!

My fiancé and I (and our 2 dogs) loved our week in the tiny house. The location really made us feel like locals for the week. We’ve stayed in Nags Head and Kill Devil Hills many times, but Rodanthe’s our new favorite! The house was quiet and peaceful but walkable to both the ocean (and pier) and sound. There are many great restaurants close by- we loved Good Winds, Lisa’s Pizzeria, Hatteras Bowls, and Waves Coffee and Candies. Staff were beyond friendly at every location in the area. We had some rainy days but didn’t mind staying in since the house was so well laid out and the decor was cozy and beachy. Hosts were very responsive and had open communication. If you’re considering the tiny house for your next OBX trip please book!
