Beach house holiday rentals in Canterbury

Amazing location, pubs, beach, amusements and fish and chips all in under a 5 minute walk even with a 5 year old in tow! Smart property and very private. We managed to get parked right outside on arrival and didn’t need the car again until we left!

Fantastic house for a family or group stay. Everything was as described and the location is great. You can walk everywhere. The views from the house are also lovely. There were lots of little personal touches as well, such a package of essentials like eggs, milk, bread and even a bottle of bubbles to enjoy. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back.

First time doing an Airbnb (on my own account) and everything went smoothly. House was as described, plenty of parking, right in the middle of town so could walk to everything. We were down for the golf and it's a perfect spot for that. Brilliantly hosted, thanks very much.

Booked this for my Husbands 70th. 5 couples so, having a bedroom with en-suite for everyone was a real find. The location was superb, everything in walking distance. Sally provided recommendations for a dinner on the Saturday evening. We went to the Royal Hotel (across the road). It was a perfect w/e and the weather helped. We had sea views and right on the front. Cinema room in the basement was fab and we couldn’t fault a thing. Thanks Sally

We had a lovely stay.. the house is exactly as pictured with no nasty surprises. Amazing sea view from the master bedroom, with double doors leading onto the balcony. Stef was a great host, very responsive and friendly. Thanks for a lovely stay!

This was our second visit to the Lighthouse and it still is an amazing place, from the panoramic sea views to a lovely warm inviting home. A dip in the pool before breakfast, sitting with a coffee watching the seascape, as far as Essex and beyond, sunsets and so much more. I will make the same comment as I did last, this goes for the whole of our party across 3 generations and the dogs, the only bad thing about the Lighthouse is having to leave. Hopefully this will not be our last visit.

Honestly, words can’t describe how grateful I am for Sheila and to be able to stay here to celebrate my birthday. Absolutely amazing communication!! So kind and friendly. The house was amazing and THE VIEW was incredible. I cannot recommend this place enough. I would more than come back here again. But if you’re looking for a sign to book this place, this is it!! What a fantastic stay we had! This place is more than just a caravan. It felt like home from home. Such a spacious, comfortable and all round perfect place to stay. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night. The host was responsive and even came to the caravan to help us with some things when we arrived. Very close to whitstable, Hearn bay and not far from Broadstairs we visited them all. We will definitely be back.

We had to go out again to buy things like a sponge and dishwasher detergent, but Aldi and Tesco were nearby, so it wasn’t a big problem. The caravan was in very good condition, especially considering the price. The manager was very kind and explained everything clearly when we had questions. Our whole family really liked it.

Our second visit. Really enjoyed our stay in your lovely home. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed for our stay. A peaceful location and we feel at home. Especially enjoyed the welcome pack. Thank you Ross and we will be back next year.

Easy to find, great decorations, loved sitting on decking for morning coffee. Beautiful location and short walk to beach. We will be coming back.

Charming and well appointed cottage, just a few paces from the beach. Near the local high street. Nicola was incredibly helpful when a few things needed to be addressed. Quickly and calmly. Overall, a wonderful experience and would visit again.

Great location, right across the street from the beach, the city center, and necessities. Walking distance to the Western Heights which can be accessible at any time and only a 5 minute drive to the white cliffs and Dover castle.

lovely detached house right on the seafront. The terrace has stunning sea views and great sunsets. The 5 bedrooms are all very nice and offer some flexibility with twins and doubles. We loved the seaside themed decor and nice touches like blankets. Nice host who gave very clear instructions. very clean and the kitchen was well stocked.

We loved our time in Sam’s cottage. It was close to the beach and Rye with great walking. The house had a lot of character, was generously sized and had a well equipped kitchen. We loved all the vintage touches. I would recommend anyone wanting to be near Rye to stay here.

We loved our stay here - the perfect location for a few days away from London. Easy walk from the station and surrounded by great restaurants and bars (we recommend Porto Wine Bar, Whitstable Oyster Company, and the Lazy Lobster). Beautiful interior, kitchen had everything you could need, and it was spotlessly clean. Would recommend and visit again.

What a fantastic cottage in a great location. A stone's throw from the beach and shops yet very private and quiet. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything you could possibly need. The hosts, Penny and Finton were so welcoming- we really felt at home from the minute we arrived. Highly recommend The Grapevine for dinner and The Bay for breakfast - both were excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage to others.

Absolutely brilliant stay. The house exceeded our already high expectations. It’s a great space and interiors are beautifully designed with lots of nice touches and attention to detail, great local shower products and the like. Being a two minute walk from a tidal pool and beach was amazing, and the sauna was another highlight. Polly was proactive, helpful and friendly throughout with great recommendations. Highly recommended!!
