Beach house holiday rentals in Canterbury

Thank you Sophie, the house felt like a home. The books, the toys, the rooms, the garden an added bonus for the little people. “but why can’t we stay longer” asked grandchild. Appreciated the earlier check in, and thank you for your flexibility and understanding with our car problems.

Amazing location, pubs, beach, amusements and fish and chips all in under a 5 minute walk even with a 5 year old in tow! Smart property and very private. We managed to get parked right outside on arrival and didn’t need the car again until we left!

Can’t give a more positive review for Angela’s town house. It’s in the perfect location, a 2minute walk from the beach, we found parking quite easy and there’s loads to do in Margate. The house itself is wonderful, very clean, has ample supplies in terms of kitchen cookware, loads of board games, beds are comfy and everything you could think to need is available. Angela herself is a wonderful host, she provided us with a local guide for the restaurants, left us a lovely gift on arrival and was on hand to help with anything we needed. This stay was worth every penny!!

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful home. From the moment we arrived, it felt incredibly welcoming, with a peaceful vibe that flowed throughout the house and its lovely decor. The garden was a standout feature which was beautifully designed, filled with the scent of blooming flowers, and offering a relaxing view in every direction. It was the perfect place to unwind. The house was also fantastic for my daughter and our dog, with plenty of space both inside and out for them to enjoy and feel at home. The bathroom was great too - it was spotless and stylish, with thoughtful touches like a soothing pillow spray and wonderfully fresh-smelling towels that made it feel like a boutique stay. Overall, this home was the perfect retreat for our little family. We left feeling relaxed, refreshed and already planning a return visit. Highly recommend.

Booked this for my Husbands 70th. 5 couples so, having a bedroom with en-suite for everyone was a real find. The location was superb, everything in walking distance. Sally provided recommendations for a dinner on the Saturday evening. We went to the Royal Hotel (across the road). It was a perfect w/e and the weather helped. We had sea views and right on the front. Cinema room in the basement was fab and we couldn’t fault a thing. Thanks Sally

Charming little air bnb in an amazing location. Under 5 mins from beautiful Margate beach, but on a quiet side street. The property is a cosy, little 2 bed house. Homely and uncluttered. Even has a little, covered courtyard style garden for chillin' (and drying wet swimming trunks). The hosts, Zack & Georgia, were friendly, super helpful and polite. They always replied very quickly and you got the feeling nothing was ever too much trouble for them. The house even has free parking adjacent to the property. Which is super helpful, as anyone travelling with young children knows you tend to pack half the house. We'd def stay in this little gem of a find again and would highly recommend. This was our second visit to the Lighthouse and it still is an amazing place, from the panoramic sea views to a lovely warm inviting home. A dip in the pool before breakfast, sitting with a coffee watching the seascape, as far as Essex and beyond, sunsets and so much more. I will make the same comment as I did last, this goes for the whole of our party across 3 generations and the dogs, the only bad thing about the Lighthouse is having to leave. Hopefully this will not be our last visit.

What a fantastic stay we had! This place is more than just a caravan. It felt like home from home. Such a spacious, comfortable and all round perfect place to stay. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night. The host was responsive and even came to the caravan to help us with some things when we arrived. Very close to whitstable, Hearn bay and not far from Broadstairs we visited them all. We will definitely be back.

We had to go out again to buy things like a sponge and dishwasher detergent, but Aldi and Tesco were nearby, so it wasn’t a big problem. The caravan was in very good condition, especially considering the price. The manager was very kind and explained everything clearly when we had questions. Our whole family really liked it.

Our second visit. Really enjoyed our stay in your lovely home. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed for our stay. A peaceful location and we feel at home. Especially enjoyed the welcome pack. Thank you Ross and we will be back next year.

We stayed over the bank holiday weekend as a family of 3 and throughly enjoyed staying at Herons Nest! Jill’s communication prior to our booking was brilliant and extremely helpful. The caravan had everything we needed for our stay, including some complimentary snacks & drinks! We enjoyed playing with the selection of games and our son did lots of colouring in. Romney Park offers many activities for children and the evening entertainment was brilliant. We would highly recommend Heron’s Nest and hope to stay in the future. Thanks again to Jill & Geoff! Ursula went to great lengths to ensure we had everything we needed .. lots of supplies in kitchen and bathroom.. she literally thought of everything. Very comfortable in every way .. modern kitchen to cater for every need … lovely bedrooms with black out blinds, lovely linen and comfy beds … best Air b&b I have stayed in

Gabrielle's place is one of the best Airbnb place Ive stayed in. Gabrielle has been very thoughtful in everything provided for a comfortable, homely stay. Very tasteful decor/fixtures and fittings. The kitchen had everything you need plus condiments, tea, cofee etc and milk in the fridge. It is a home from home and I wished we had stayed longer. My brother in law lives in Canterbury so we will definitely be coming back to stay again and again. I could have just sat in the conservatory (my favourite space ) and the terrace all day looking at the sky and the sea. Amazing sunset view from the property. Gabrielle"s place is 1 minute away from the sea and perfect for walking along the seafront. The Hampton Inn pub in the corner facing the sea is a 2minutes walk and was very welcoming, friendly and serves fresh delicious food for lunch and dinner. A perfect stay in itself and also for visits to Whitstable, Margate and Canterbury. Thank you Gabrielle for being an amzing host. :)

Great location, right across the street from the beach, the city center, and necessities. Walking distance to the Western Heights which can be accessible at any time and only a 5 minute drive to the white cliffs and Dover castle.

Beautiful cottage well located for the High Street and the beach. Lovely and clean, excellent shower and had a real home from home feel. Everything you needed was provided. All in all a wonderful place to stay.

We had a lovely stay.. the house is exactly as pictured with no nasty surprises. Amazing sea view from the master bedroom, with double doors leading onto the balcony. Stef was a great host, very responsive and friendly. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We loved our stay here - the perfect location for a few days away from London. Easy walk from the station and surrounded by great restaurants and bars (we recommend Porto Wine Bar, Whitstable Oyster Company, and the Lazy Lobster). Beautiful interior, kitchen had everything you could need, and it was spotlessly clean. Would recommend and visit again.

Great find on Airbnb for a few days in Whitstable with our puppy. The house was lovely and welcoming to walk into after our long, cold and wet journey from Buckinghamshire . It was perfectly situated for our needs - Nicola had even provided dog bowls and towels which was very thoughtful. On arrival back from a day out, we discovered the smoke alarm bleeping as it needed a new battery. We contacted Nicola and almost immediately got a response, the issue was dealt with really quickly which was wonderful.

This is by far the best house we’ve ever rented for a vacation. Perfect in every sense, beautifully finished and furnished, comfortable and had everything we needed, including selection of biscuits, teas and coffees + milk in the fridge on arrival; games, books etc. in the living room. Terry is the best host, very accommodating and responsive, friendly and definitely goes an extra mile. The location is great too, just a 2 minutes walk to the beach and close to shops and town. Easy swim in the sea, very calm and gently sloping, felt safe even for our 12 years old. The town has a cat cafe which was a highlight for our daughter and a lovely hike to Reculver Towers in Reculver Country Park, which was a highlight for me. Starfish Bar is the best fish a chip shop we could find, they fry the fish fresh for you and chips are delicious and fluffy. We were also lucky to watch beautiful sunsets. We had a wonderful stay and planning to come back in the future.
