We have enjoyed this beautiful house. Luís was very friendly and helpful. Hospitality is clearly a high priority. The house has all the amenities and very comfortable. Even in the fridge, everything was ready and upon arrival there were cookies with a mini bottle of pumpkin liqueur. The only thing that was missing a bit was something of garden and more pleasant garden furniture. Furthermore, great location. The convenience of supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and other amenities can all be reached by car within fifteen minutes. Whether you're going to Arouca or Vale de Cambra.

We absolutely loved staying here. Ricardo was super friendly and helpful. Quinta Freiera is a stunning farm with loads of grape vines, lemon trees, orange trees, passion fruit, etc. It was so special to stay in a house that has been in his family for over 200 years. I highly recommend this quinta!

i can't think of a better place to stay if you are looking for a place to stay with such a large group. I can't think of any criticism. This listing exceeds all expectations in every way. I can recommend this accommodation to everyone if you want to stay with a large group.

It was a good few days ago. Weather helped. The kids loved the pool and the space. And the adults too. :)

Beautiful view. Bring groceries so you can stay at house and enjoy the view and pool. Take your time driving the roads. All roads have amazing views and lush surroundings.

This Airbnb is like a dream! Book immediately. It's an old house but the key elements have been renovated to give incredible comfort to the house. The views of the house are superb and the courtyard is very well maintained. We loved having our aperitifs there! Hosts are always available and quick for questions or missing items. And the reception was pleasant and flexible. We needed the essentials for our 6-month-old baby and everything was there! We dream of coming back to stay longer!

We had a wonderful stay at Vania’s house in Murtosa. The property is beautifully designed, with a charming mix of traditional and modern touches throughout the interior. Everything was spotless, and the bathrooms were particularly impressive—clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. Privacy was a highlight—this is a fully enclosed space, which made it feel like our own little retreat. The large carport was a bonus, keeping our vehicle secure .The area itself felt very safe and peaceful, with birds soaring overhead throughout the day, adding to the sense of calm. The outdoor BBQ area was a favorite spot, especially in the late afternoon when it caught the last warm rays of sun. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a meal. Vania was a fantastic host—friendly, proactive, and clearly committed to making our stay as comfortable as possible. We’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing, private getaway in a beautiful setting.

Great space, with all the details well thought out.

Casa located in a quiet place ideal for a group or family vacation. All rooms are suites, which is a bright spot for bathroom privacy. The beds are super comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and has everything you need at the level of appliances (toaster, coffee machine (delta), microwave, dishwasher) as well as dishwasher for a group of 10 people. The whole decoration is very beautiful and thought out. Outside spaces are large and well arranged, the space for the barbecue is impeccable. It is undoubtedly a place to visit again!

The house is super well equipped and cared for. All rooms (the 8) have a toilet. Luisa is super nice and let us check out a little later. The only negative point was the pool being shared with the other house, otherwise everything was perfect :)

Absolutely loved this place and can’t wait to go back!!! Adrianne was great dropping by each morning to have a little tidy in the kitchen and make breakfast. The view of the Douro valley from poolside and the rooms was incredible. Can’t say enough good things about our stay!

Our stay was fantastic! The house is extremely comfortable and perfect for a group of friends. We took full advantage of the pool, barbecue and dining room. It is a house with beautiful and peaceful decor, ideal for relaxing and enjoying good times together. It allowed us to get out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life and have a good rest. We highly recommend it and will certainly come back!

What an EXTRAORDINARY accommodation Casa Marmelo was for our group of 8 adults when visiting the Douro valley !!! Host Kate was super to work -- right from our initial contact for information through our date of departure. What an excellent WELCOME GUIDE she provided before our arrival - with valuable tips and suggestions for activities and dining throughout the area. Housekeeper Helene too could not have been more kind, charming, and helpful. What delicious breakfasts she made for us each morning. The entire property was kept so clean and tidy. What a memorable time we all had -- we all hope to be back!

This may be the most beautiful Airbnb I've ever stayed in. My wife and I spent the days here to our wedding in Coimbra with our family and it was great! Optimal privacy for anyone staying there and at the same time a cozy shared space. Highly recommended!

we had a very pleasant week in this quiet house with very beautiful landscapes. the pool nearby refreshed us well and made the children happy. the house is typical and nice the outdoor shower is very nice in summer. Teresa is a very nice person and very available.

We had a great stay at Isabelle's, the house is a dream with everything you need to have a good comfortable vacation. The house has a huge garden for children and a large swimming pool. The location is ideal, it allowed us to do a lot of visits for both adults and children (castles, beach, animal park, Aveiro, Lisbon etc). Communication with Isabelle was excellent too; we recommend Casa dos avos if you want to spend a great vacation in a wonderful setting, thank you very much we leave full of good memories ☺️☺️

If I had to find a downside to this stay, it would be the mosquitoes. The rest was all great. The host was super friendly, attentive and recommended many places. The house, in addition to being beautiful and very clean, was also full of things at our disposal. We have been to many accommodations and several different countries, and we have never seen anything as complete and welcoming as this place. I recommend it 100%, the price is a bit expensive but when we arrived I understood that it was totally worth it. our dog also liked it a lot :)

We were 3 families, 6 adults and 6 children, and I have to say that the house is spacious, clean and modern. It's one of the few houses that the photos don't do justice, it's much better when you arrive. Jose was very friendly when we entered, he showed us around and explained all the features of the house, and when we left he was very friendly. I really recommend it 100%. We even had a Christmas tree, a nice touch, and the pool was super clean, although we didn't swim, and there's a barbecue.

From start to finish the experience was amazing, photos were exactly how the Airbnb was and location was perfect, nice and quiet and completely private! I would highly recommend and hopefully will be back in the future!!

our stay with Ana was wonderful! She welcomed us warmly and explained everything well. We received a welcome gift. Ana responded immediately to our questions. The house is beautiful and very quiet. Beautiful sunset to see! lovely swimming pool. all rooms are beautifully and practically furnished. And have their own bathroom with everything on and off. The terrace has several seating areas. The kitchen is fully equipped. In short, enjoyed very much. Enough room to park your car.

This place is an absolute gem, amazing views and a great activities to keep the kids entertained. We loved feeding the donkey & horse the most. Thank you x
