After extensive instruction on entry, parking (right in front of the door) etc, we moved into the apartment. What surprised us was the cleanliness and extensive inventory. Anything you could need was present. And all of them are sparkling clean. Large terrace with plenty of chairs etc. and a beautiful view over the ocean made it complete. The location is the perfect base for the whole island. You can be anywhere within an hour. In the direct surroundings, there are various eateries. The restaurant across the street is highly recommended. A large supermarket is about 5 minutes' drive away. We had a super vacation and highly recommend Manuel's apartment!

We were welcomed immediately very friendly by Connie, who gave us great tips for the restaurants in the neighborhood and some fresh vegetables from the garden. Connie and Johnny are always available for any questions, yet you have total privacy. The view is amazing, day and night. All furniture is from the highest quality, fully equipped kitchen, a perfect bed and an awesome bath. Worth every cent, just book it and you will have a dream vacation!

Absolutely lovely place to stay in the hills. Nice place to unwind and having good access to head out for hikes. The complex has a pool, Laundry room, bbq area on top of the apartment. The apartment was perfect, good space, comfy bed, lovely views of sunsets from the outside balcony.

We will be talking about the wonderful stay we had at Filip and Renata’s place for a long time to come. The space is perfect for a couple or small family. The bedrooms and bathroom are spacious, the kitchen is exceptionally well stocked (there’s even Tupperware so you can pack sandwiches for a hike), and the outside space is comfortable, quiet and beautiful. Now I know why many other reviewers wished they had stayed in this location for the whole of their Madeira travels! The location is excellent for exploring the island and returning home at night is easy, especially with a dedicated parking space. What really makes this place shine are the hosts, especially Filip who offered many suggestions and treated us to fresh bread and other goodies. He was so warm and kindhearted. This is a gem of a property; do not hesitate to book!

this place is absolutely fantastic we loved it hear, nicely out of the the way but still a short drive to lovely bars and resteraunts, I really couldn't recommend it high enough, what lovely people great comunication and greeting on arrival. Wonderfull

Manuel picked us up personally from the town center and helped us with the luggage. We had a great time and would love to spend our vacation in the Oceanic apartment again at any time.

This chalet is absolutely beautiful! It was exactly as pictured - if not more lovely in person. It was peaceful, clean, and so cozy! We enjoyed making a fire in the fire place when it was cold and rainy. Ana was so responsive and let us check in early and was helpful giving directions and gave great recommendations for places to eat. Hot shower, comfortable bed, washing machine, full kitchen - everything you need! There are, however, some pros and cons with the location to consider. This is a remote property in a small village - which is what makes it so pretty, unique and peaceful. It’s also off the main road on the way toward Pico de Areiro which is great if you’re spending time in this location hiking, canyoning, etc. However, keep in mind it’s very remote. I really did not like driving back there late at night and was a little uneasy sleeping there at night because it felt so remote - but if that doesn’t bother you, I couldn’t recommend this place enough! We would stay again!

We liked the place and felt very comfortable. The communication was friendly and fast and we were provided with all the information. The house was sparkling clean when we arrived and a bottle of wine and water and a traditional spice cake were ready for us as a welcome. We were very pleased about that. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need. I would like to highlight the showers, which were not only very spacious, but also the fantastic water pressure, which made showering very pleasant. The complex is designed around the parking lot so that units 1-5 are below the parking lot and the large 6 (the house we lived in) is directly connected to the parking lot. So you always have a free parking space, no matter when you arrive. The village character of the place occasionally leads to dogs barking and the rooster crowing, but that didn't bother us. We'll be back.

Beautiful accommodation. Leaves nothing to be desired. Wonderful hosts and so clean and beautifully furnished with a lot of heart.

Carla was a wonderful host! She provided detailed instructions, was responsive to our questions, and the apartment was very well appointed. The kitchen had everything you could need! Enjoying coffee on the deck, overlooking the water, was an unforgettable experience.

Absolutely brilliant place! So comfortable and clean and it has everything you need.

Overall we had a great stay (8 nights) at Sofia's apartment. We loved the ocean view and the remote aspect, although the street that leads to it gets very busy (even more than we thought) during the day due to the nearby Anjos waterfall which, on occasion, can make parking a bit difficult (the apartment doesn't come with a parking sport so, as others mentioned, you need to park on the street). The check-in went smooth as the directions Sofia provided us were clear and easy to follow. Inside, the apartment is spacious, the 2 bathrooms were a big plus for us, and it had all the amenities we needed. The bed is very comfortable, though we switched the pillows and used the small pillows from downstairs as the main ones were a bit too big/stiff for us, after this change we slept great every night. The surroundings are silent, the only thing you hear are the ocean and the water running to the next-door banana plantation. We had a great time, Sofia was very kind, and we recommend this house!

We felt very comfortable with Patricia, her dad Carlos was always there for us and super likeable. We were also able to contact Patricia at any time. The location of the accommodation was perfect for exploring the city and for excursions, the view is breathtaking. This was a lovely place! Private, clean and surrounded by cute banana farms. The place was even better than the photos! Very clean and the host was there to help us out with whatever we needed. You can’t beat the views from all angles of the property! Only downside is that it’s up a mountain and it takes a while to get to Funchal for food. However, not a problem because there was Uber and Bolt available all the time. I LOVED staying here and will recommend to anyone going to Madeira. If you have a car, there was always parking available. The pool was also a bonus! Thank you Daniela!! :)

Leonardo let us check in early. Beautiful clean environment right next to the water. He provided a clear and quick video to watch for instructions. Parking is a little complicated but your car is safe in a garage which is nice. Definitely recommend.

The accommodation is very well located close to the general partners. A home that matches the photos and is very clean. Clara is very kind, she is responsive. Communication was fluid.

The apartment was is a quiet neighborhood and the view was exceptional. The communication with Vasco was easy and quick.

Gorgeous spacious apartment walkable to everything in downtown Funchal - restaurants, shopping the water, musicians in the restaurant area were so fun! (Not near the house). All of Funchal seems to have some construction especially behind this building but I suspect u can’t escape that anywhere in Funchal. Otherwise it was a fantastic apartment and would definitely rent there again. Hosts were wonderful

Can’t recommend enough. Clean, fantastic space, great location. Marina really helpful and always responsive. Well equipped kitchen with everything for meals in but equally a 10 minute drive into Funchal. The view from the apartment is beautiful and the location means everything is easily accessible. Supermarket across the road. We didn’t hire a car because the location was so great.
