You're own little townhouse only 10-minutes walk from the centre of Funchal with gorgeous views from your rooftop terrace across the Bay of Funchal and the enigmatic city that spreads out around you. The Little Townhouse could not be better situated. THE WELCOME On arrival, you'll be met by Anna, your host who knows these islands intimately and will provide you with inspiring information and guidance. A lovely bottle of Portuguese wine and some fresh fruit will revive you from your travels. LOCATION Close to the centre of Funchal, a mere 800m from the famous Farmers Market and Old Town, you'll delight in all that’s at hand including the restaurants, tabernas not to forget Funchal's famous seafront promenade. Only 150m from your front door is a convenient supermarket for your everyday needs. THE ACCOMMODATION The Little Townhouse presents you with 2 bedrooms, both with queen+ size beds, 2 ensuite bathrooms, one with a double shower. The upstairs bedroom has a walk-in closet and an amazing view over the city, mountains and sea. The beds are exceptionally comfortable for a great night's sleep after your explorations of the city or nearby mountains. The open plan kitchen is fully equipped with a large fridge/freezer, microwave, a toaster, Nespresso machine with capsules and contemporary cooking and dining equipment. There is also a sofa bed in the living room which can accommodate 2 people so the house can take up to 6 if necessary. There is a spacious terrace to the front of the living room offering an al fresco lounge area with comfortable sofas and occasional tables to enjoy pre-dinner drinks or a morning yoga stretch. The roof terrace is the Little Townhouse's pièce de résistance, a delightful airy rooftop space to gather with friends and prepare a delicious barbecue on the built-in brick, BBQ grill (coal and accessories provided). Here you will also enjoy unique panoramic sea and mountain views. On those special occasions like the New Year or the Atlantic Festival in July, there is few better places in Funchal to enjoy such pyrotechnic spectacles. CANINE FRIENDS If you would like to bring a small dog, this can be arranged upon request and for an extra fee. COSTS Prices includes linen and towels. If you stay for 2 weeks or longer, the Little Townhouse will be cleaned and fresh linen provided. THE FACILITIES The Little Townhouse combines traditional Portuguese stone walls with a modern décor, furnished to the highest standard with up-to-date entertainment facilities. There’s a 55’ 4K Smart TV with Netflix/Youtube in the living room and a smaller Smart TV in the downstairs bedroom. A Harman Kardon Bluetooth speaker system is installed so you can listen to your own music whenever you want. The whole property is for exclusive use by the guests without any shared spaces Walk under a kilometer to the farmers' market and the restaurants of the old town, with a little supermarket and a pizzeria only moments away. Go whale watching from the harbor and take a trip on a replica of Christopher Columbus's galleon. Please be aware that the property has steps and is not wheelchair accessible. Also, as everywhere on Madeira there’s no flat roads and therefore walking back from the town center will require a bit of uphill walking 🚶‍♀️ 🚶‍♂️ 😀 then you’re rewarded with a beautiful view
