Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Calabria

This was a wonderful place in which to spend several days exploring beautiful Reggio Calabria and Sicily. Our hostess and host were exceptional - extraordinarily generous and kind. We were showered with thoughtful gifts of eggs, fruit, fresh picked vegetables from their garden and a bottle of their home-made wine (which was excellent). They were patient with our questions and were a fount of local insights and knowledge. Over decades of travel, they rank at the very top of the hosts that we have met. The house was immaculate, modern and very well appointed and lived up to every one of our expectations. It is on the edge of a small village and was serene and peaceful. The house is located outside of Reggio Calabria and close to the ferries to Sicily in Villa San Giovanni. A car is strongly recommended to enable local travel and trips to Sicily (which are very easy to arrange). All in all, an exceptional stay. Thank you!!!!

Ein schönes Haus mit tollem Pool und einem sehr schönen Blick auf die Berge und das Meer. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet. Mithilfe der von Monica übermittelten Koordinaten und Googlemaps haben wir das Haus leicht gefunden. Wir kamen in der Nacht an und die Fahrt mit dem Auto zur Wohnanlage, in der sich das Haus befindet, war etwas abenteuerlich, da es die Tage vorher und auch bei unserer Ankunft regnete und die Umgebung sehr dunkel war. Hat aber alles geklappt. Die Kommunikation mit Monica war einwandfrei und sie war sehr hilfsbereit. Supermarkt und Restaurants sind mit Auto innerhalb von ca. 15 minuten gut zu erreichen. Uns hat es gut gefallen, trotz etwas Pech mit dem Wetter. Aber nach 3 Tagen regnen wurde das Wetter schöner und wor konnten Kalabrien erkunden. Wir würden wiederkommen.

Tout est réunis pour passer un excellent séjour en famille ou entre amis: -La villa est très spacieuse, confortable, propre et bien équipée. -Le jardin est magnifique et très bien entretenu. -La Piscine privée, le jacuzzi, la vue panoramique sur la campagne montagneuse et le château médiéval de Squillace offrent un cadre douillet et relaxant. -La cote et les plages aux alentours sont très belles, les restaurants typiques. Et Martina et Thomas, par leurs conseils et leur bienveillance, porteront une attention particulière pour que ce moment reste spécial pour vous.

Francesco e la sua famiglia sono stati degli host gentilissimi e sempre disponibile. La casa è in un punto panoramico stupendo molto vicino al parco nazionale del pollino per poter effettuare vari percorsi nella natura anche in giornata. Noi eravamo con la nostra cagnolona e il giardino enorme della casa era perfetto anche per lei. Casa ordinata, dotata di tutti i comfort. Super consigliato, ci torneremo!

Antonio and his family are great hosts. The house is beautiful and the facilities are great. Whenever we contacted Antonio he responded within 10 minutes and he was very helpful with everything we asked about. This is a great place to stay.

We stayed in Francesca's apartment for ten days. At first, we were unlucky with the weather, and it was cold (19 degrees), damp and mouldy inside. Once it warmed up, however, we loved the apartment. It is located in a large, quiet garden, which was very relaxing. However, occasionally the dogs would bark all night long. This was annoying for my friend who slept in the big room. The interior design is beautiful, and the apartment has a lot of charm. It would have been great to have a vacuum cleaner to clean in between. The kitchen could do with a little renovation. Vibo Valentia is a beautiful Italian city perched on a hill. I think we were the only tourists there! There are great restaurants and pizzerias. Consiglio assolutamente di alloggiare nel delizioso appartamento di Giuseppina e Giovanni, situato al centro del bellissimo paesino di San Severino Lucano, con una stupenda vista sulla vallata. Il signor Giovanni è stato disponibilissimo e ci ha accolti con grande gentilezza, fornendoci diversi consigli utili per il soggiorno.

La casa di Giosuè è un vero gioiello immerso nella meravigliosa campagna nell'entroterra di Maratea. Le foto non rendono giustizia alla bellezza della casa , semplicemente perfetta e dotata di ogni confort. Il giardino è stupendo per non parlare delle colazioni sotto la veranda ammirando il paesaggio! È inoltre strategica per visitare alcuni dei siti più belli della Basilicata. Non avremmo più voluto andarcene!

My girlfriend and me were for the first time in Lamezia Terme. It was a very short visit in this beautiful city. The accomondation was great. The checkin was very smooth and hassle free. The communication between us and the host made our uncertain arrival at the accomodation very smooth. We were welcomed very nicely by the father of the host (Antonio). The accomodation in itself was kept very very clean and organised. This all made our stay so easy and uncomplicated. Even the recommendations given for dinner were great. Our suggestion is to pre-book in advance for dinner given that Lamezia Terme definitely has a good night life too and can be crowded. To summarise, the flexibility of the host and the hospitality made our short stay very memorable. All in all worth recommending- Super host!

Beautiful view and an amazing family. The house is very village like and feels like it’s supposed to be. Love the vibe with many different fruit trees in the backyard, oranges, cactus, grapes, and a bonus olive tree. They even have cats all over the backyard, it was magical. The host is very responsive and friendly. He was one of our best so far!

L’appartamento era pulitissimo, ordinato e accogliente, trasmettendo fin da subito una sensazione di comfort e cura. La comunicazione con Francesca è stata veloce, chiara e sempre disponibile: ogni nostra domanda ha trovato risposta in tempi rapidissimi, con grande gentilezza e professionalità. Non abbiamo riscontrato alcun problema, e ci siamo sentiti seguiti e coccolati per tutta la durata del soggiorno. È evidente quanto Francesca tenga a far sentire i suoi ospiti a casa. Se in futuro avremo bisogno di un alloggio, sappiamo già che la prima persona che contatteremo sarà lei. Grazie mille Francesca, sei stata fantastica! 🌟

Die Casa Soprana liegt in idyllischer Lage in den Bergen. Bei klarer Sicht sieht man sogar das Meer. Wir hatten eine tolle und sehr erholsame Zeit dort. Das Haus ist hell, geräumig und sehr gut ausgestattet. Es gibt drei Terrassen in unterschiedliche Himmelsrichtungen. Wir haben den Blick von dort oben jeden Tag aufs Neue genossen. Bettina ist eine super Gastgeberin und gab uns tolle Tipps für Ausflüge und Wanderungen. Wir können die Casa Soprana uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Sehr gemütliches, geräumiges Haus mit einem Garten, der wie eine Oase ist, mit direktem Strandzugang, 3 Doppelzimmer mit jeweils eigenem Bad, grosse Dachterrasse für "early morning" Cafe und Sundowner mit Meerblick. Küche gut ausgestattet. Bar, Restaurant u kleiner Supermarkt fußläufig. Wir kommen wieder:)

Lo más lindo de la casa es el área exterior que es hermosa. Tiene diferentes rincones con muebles muy cómodos para compartir hermosos momentos. La casa está sobre la playa. Dentro es muy cómoda, no es lujosa pero es espaciosa. Quedamos muy conformes con la propiedad. Muchas gracias

Le logement de Lucilla est absolument incroyable . Vous êtes littéralement subjugués par la vue sur la mer. La terrasse est la pépite de la maison. La maison a été récemment rénovée, les fenêtres et volets sont tous neufs et les moustiquaires étaient très utiles (bien qu'en avril nous avons eu qq désagréments avec les moustiques !). Les clims réversibles sont aussi supers et toutes neuves. Nous avons eu quelques soucis mineurs avec des problèmes électriques récurrents mais Lucilla a toujours été réactive . La douche mériterait également d’être un tout petit peu plus grande :) Comme décrit dans l’annonce Vous pouvez accéder à une plage par la terrasse (marche + escalade de rochers). Nous avons réussi à le faire avec nos deux enfants de 4 et 8 ans Nous vous recommandons de visiter Tropea, la place de Pizzo et ses ruelles et l incroyable vue de Scilla. La calabre a été une magnifique découverte ! Merci encore

Carla is an excellent host. she really cares about her guests and communicates as soon as you make the booking to make sure everything goes smoothly. We loved staying in her beautiful home. It felt like we were staying at the home of a friend.

Fabuleuse maison avec un accès privé à la plage qui fait tout le charme de l’endroit. Et de multiples terrasses toutes aussi agréables les unes que les autres. Excellent accueil de Maria Gabriella

From start to finish, Cristian was a fantastic host! We really enjoyed our stay at his beautiful villa, and we definately want to come back. The villa has incredible views and Tropea was such a lovely city. Cristian was very helpful with giving us flexible check-in and nice local recommendations for both beaches and restaurants. We felt like Cristian went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We didn’t use the pool area much, as we wanted to explore the different beaches, but it did not feel crowded even though the pool is shared with the other 9-10 apartments in the complex.

Das Haus in Scilla besticht durch seine erstklassige Lage direkt am Meer und die Nähe zum Zentrum, was unseren Aufenthalt besonders angenehm gemacht hat. Alessandra hat uns freundlich empfangen und alles Wichtige erklärt. Pierluigi war immer erreichbar und gab uns viele gute Tipps für die Umgebung. Insgesamt haben wir unsere Zeit in Scilla genossen und die charmante Atmosphäre des Ortes sowie die Nähe zum Strand sehr geschätzt.

We had a wonderful 13 days staying at Max’s lovely villa which had everything that we needed. We did a lot of travelling around in the daytime so was lovely to come back and cook a meal in the evening and then relax and have a bottle of local wine Max was very helpful the one small problem we did have was sorted out within a hour The property is in a nice isolated area in excellent condition with nice grounds and swimming pool and Max couldn’t do enough for you, The only downside which was nothing to do with Max was the barking dogs nearby. Both myself and my wife would highly recommend this property
