Family-friendly holiday rentals in Cahuita

I don’t even know where to begin; I’m so in love 🩷 Mercedes is a 100/100 host! Her apartment is stunning! It is spacious, immaculately clean and located near the most delicious restaurants with only a 5 minute walk to the beautiful Playa Negra. I have had the oppertunity to see iguanas, tucans, beautiful birds and butterflies just feet away from the balcony. Supermarkets are near and the neighborhood is friendly. Mercedes is a pleasure and she takes care of any issues that may occur quickly. I cannot recommend this space enough. It will quickly become your home away from home and you will never want to leave 🥰

Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit in der Unterkunft. Es liegt etwas höher und der Weg ist im Dunkel und bei Regen schwierig zu begehen. Dafür hat man eine schönen Ausblick und viel Natur und Geün um sich herum. Küchenutensilien sind schon was älter und abgenutzter. Zimmer waren sehr staubig, wahrscheinlich länger nicht mehr genutzt. Toilette ohne richtige Lüftung und etwas muffiger Raum. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern lief gut, wir haben tolle Tipps für die Umgebung bekommen und als das Wasser ausgefallen ist würde schnell reagiert. Dankeschön 😊

Beautiful grounds, comfortable and well furnished space. Just one caution for taller guests - things are geared toward those of standard height. Not really a drawback or a deal breaker, just something to be aware of. We’d happily stay here again next time we’re in the area!

Highly recommend staying at this beautiful location. It truly is an oasis paradise with beautiful tropical plants and flowers, toucans and several sloths in the trees. The host is extremely responsive and helpful. We felt perfectly safe and cared for. Had a wonderful time, hiking in nature, swimming at the beach, taking surf lessons, snorkeling, and enjoying great food and beautiful weather.

We enjoyed our stay. It was very affordable and Brenda was quick to answer any inquiries. The house is in a really great location.

We only stopped over for the night, but would definitely stay here longer in the future. It's on a nice little property walking distance to the beach and town.

One of the best places I’ve ever been to, fell in love with the “rinconcito” forever already planning on our next time there… soooo cozy clean, Prestine, ideal for a romantic get away gives you the sensation of being in a luxury and secluded piece of paradise with the clear waters and golden sand of a private island type of feeling…. Definitely Top list place from now on.

our stay was beautiful ! we stayed for 4 nights but wished we stayed longer. the location was amazing, a 30 second walk from the gate to the beach. and restaurants & grocery were walking distance as well. lots of amenities and large private land

The house is a short and delightful walk to the beach and park. The yard is especially peaceful, with lots of gorgeous plants and unexpected animal friends. Yolanda appointed a kind, local man to greet us and help us with anything house related. The house provided a peaceful stay while exploring Cahuita.

I cannot say enough good things about my husband and I’s stay at this beautiful bungalow! Zvezda was a wonderfully responsive host and prepared us well for check in, and the caretakers of the property welcomed us warmly. We were floored at the gorgeous surroundings when we arrived on the property. While lounging in the pool we were able to watch monkeys, macaws, butterflies, etc. The bungalow itself was also adorable and had everything we needed for our week long stay. If you’re looking for a private stay amidst nature in the Punta Uva/Puerto Viejo area, this is your spot!

Olivia and Julian were extremely helpful and quick to respond to any questions. They also went above and beyond to share local spots and info before we arrived. The location was perfect. It was walking distance to most things, shopping restaurants and the markets. We ate most meals in to save some $$. The property was private and felt very intimate for our small group. The split a/c units worked GREAT! We followed the rules and turned all the units off when we were out, but they cooled down quick!! We did have a car so we were able to drive a little ways to some better grocery spots and beach areas for surfing. We would stay again, for sure!

Estuve 5 días en realidad una estancia agradable, tenía todo lo que necesitábamos, muy cerca del centro de cahuita, un lugar muy limpio. En realidad me encantó. Doris un anfitrión muy amable atendió siempre muy rápido cuando se Le pregunto algo antes de ir al lugar

Un hospedaje bastante bueno para vacacionar en familia, amplio espacio y atención muy buena además de rápida

What a slice of paradise! We were able to check-in early, and instantly felt right at home. Sylvio, the host, is friendly, funny, and an excellent cook! He made us pizza one night that only compares to what we have had in Italy. He made local recommendations and made sure we were happy and had everything we needed on a daily basis. The property is private, with toucans, parrots, and so many beautiful lizards everywhere. We would drink coffee by the pool each morning and watch the wildlife. We had a Vespa/motor bike to get back and forth into the heart of Cahuita and it was perfect. Otherwise, we did not mind walking places. The beach is directly in front of the hotel and was empty every time we walked down there. We will be back, very soon. Thanks Sylvio!!

Ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt in der Cabina 6! Das Häuschen liegt direkt am Dschungelrand, sodass wir Affen, ein Faultier und viele andere Tiere beobachten konnten. Die Umgebung ist traumhaft, besonders der schöne Pool lädt zum Entspannen ein. Die Unterkunft war sauber, und das Zimmer wurde auf Wunsch täglich gereinigt. Das Zimmer ist gut gegen Moskitos geschützt, die Dusche groß und angenehm. Vor dem Bungalow gibt es eine gemütliche Hängematte und einen tollen Aufenthaltsbereich. Ein Highlight: Ein ganzer Strauch Bananen wird einem hingehängt! Die gut ausgestattete Selbstversorgerküche beim Eingang bietet sogar frische Eier. Der öffentliche Aufenthaltsraum ist ein schöner Treffpunkt. Die Unterkunft liegt in einem kleinen Dörfchen außerhalb des Dorfes. Eine Reggaebar und das Meer sind in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Preis-Leistung: einfach grandios! Absolut empfehlenswert für Naturliebhaber!

Such a beautiful place and great hosts! Everything was wonderful and we really enjoyed our stay here! Would recommend it for sure!!

What a great place and a great hostess. Had all the amenities we needed and we made a few meals a home. We stayed a week and Erinn organized a mid week clean, which was great. The place was idyllic with lovely gardens, plenty of hot water and wash facilities. Having separate rooms at the end allowed the teenagers their space too. Finally a great thanks to Erinn, she booked restaurant for us the first night, answered all our questions - got us in touch with an excellent guide Juanito. Was there when we needed and not when we didn't thank you Erinn. We went surfing, snorkeling, trekking to a waterfall for swimming and did a round with the local tribes to learn about their culture and chocolate making. We had a fantastic week. If we ever come back to Costa Rica we will be back here. Andrea
