absolutely LOVED Dorene and John’s getaway cabin! it’s very clean, and has a homey feel. they have anything you would absolutely need including, a bunch of dishes, towels, lots of extra pillows and blankets, and stocked on paper towel and toilet paper. their cabin is peaceful, we didn’t really see any neighbors but the group we did see were very friendly! this place was absolutely gorgeous, i definitely recommend!!

We loved the property of this cabin. It was beautiful and well maintained. The river was one of my favorite spots to read or have my morning coffee. There were many perks and amenities to this place that weren't listed online, like hammocks, campfire pokers, blow-dryer, yard games, fire pit, folding chairs, plastic storage containers, etc. And I loved all the buffalo plaid decor all around. The signs and decor were really nice too, So much to look at. My family had plenty of room inside the cabin to sleep and have their own space. There was also lots of outdoor seating and space outside on the property to come together for dinner or games. Nina was very responsive and gave clear instructions for entering and leaving the property. She was polite and made our stay pleasant. We would stay at this property again.

This place was exactly what we thought it would be. big cabin, lots of space inside and out. Definitely a place for larger families.

It was a great cabin with full of things provide to do to spend the days away from home. Enough to do for days we didnt have plans to enjoy some cards around the open fire or enjoy some time in the hot tub, or have a friendly game of corn hole

Cute and comfy cabin! Private and serene location in the woods. Hosts were very responsive and flexible. Rustic feel yet modern comforts. Very nice new bathroom and updated appliances. Nice fenced-in yard surrounded by nature. Very clean. Very minimal to zero cell phone service but nice to escape that.

Great location, great host and great accommodation! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The dog friendliness of this listing was the biggest appeal for us. The only minor issue we had was we needed a space heater for the bedroom at night - lows were getting down into the 30s over Memorial Day weekend and Denise got us one right away. We had such an incredible time staying in Roscommon at the Knotty Retreat. The location is perfect - very much a short peaceful walk to Higgins Lake. The cabin was amazingly cozy and had every amenity and detail you could imagine (even s’mores!). We had a wonderful time. A huge thank you to Carrie & Nicholas!

I recently stayed at this place with my family, and I have to say, we had a fantastic time! The area was super clean, which always makes a stay more enjoyable. We found everything we needed right there, so we didn’t have to scramble around for supplies or anything. The best part? Everything we needed for groceries was just a short 15-minute drive away or go to traverse city was a 45 minute drive! We were able to explore some beautiful outdoor spots, which was perfect for our kids. They absolutely loved it! Whether it was hiking or just playing outside, there was always something to keep them entertained. Overall, it was a great getaway for us. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a place that’s convenient and family-friendly. We can’t wait to go back!

Loved staying at the Little Bear Cabin. Peaceful , private. The kitchen has pretty much all the essentials to cook some great campfire food. comfortable bed, wall mounted tv for those cozy rainy days a big plus. Wifi worked great! The whole cabin looks like its taken care of really well. Would definitely go back!

Perfect cabin in a secluded location with nice river access. Would stay here again. Erica was proactive with communication and very quick to respond! We had a nice early check-in that was really appreciated. Cabin EXCEEDED our expectations! Perfect for the four of us with plenty of room. Great place to stay if you’re wanting to be close to the water and get away from the city. However, not worth the price we paid. Although, it was a very busy weekend and that was all that was available for us. It’s a cozy cabin but no WiFi and you will have to clean up and strip the bed before leaving which is something I don’t particularly enjoy when I’m already overpaying for a place to stay. But if you happen to book it on a cheaper date and you’re looking for a getaway with close access to the lake, this is a good find. It was comfy but again, only complaint was the price.

Truly an exceptional stay. Top tier hosts that have gone above and beyond to make the stay feel like home. Incredibly clean, no bugs. A really nice little house. Property is beautifully maintained. So relaxing. Wildlife everywhere. We loved all the turtles. The only negative would be the goose poop all over the yard, but that’s just wild life being wild (I would just pack footwear accordingly) Overall, we are super happy with our stay and hope to be back! Thanks for everything!

We had a wonderful time at Dan's place. We really appreciate his welcoming dogs to venture along. Our dog, Boone, loved pounding by the fire pit, sniffing through the woods, and running on Arcadia Beach. Dan's specific driving directions brought us right to the door. The house was exactly as described, clean as can be, and the bed was very comfortable. Definitely worth every penny!

Steven's cabin offered the perfect place to unwind after our hikes on the North Country Trail.

This is the perfect place for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature, with a short walk down to the lake. We enjoyed the coziness of the cabin, which offered the perfect amount of space for the two of us. The cabin is spotless and well-supplied with needed items. We also enjoyed visiting the Dublin General Store, downtown Manistee for the river walk, cute shops and restaurants, and a day on the Lake Michigan beach.
