Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Bruny Island

Our white wallaby shack stay was just perfect. So peaceful and private. Fully fenced for our pups. The house was so cozy. The spa bath was heaven. A different stay for me, being on crutches due to a knee injury. The house was very accessible with a ramp. Julia was lovely to communicate with.

Love staying at Florence, wonderful location, easy walk to the Bowls Club and down to the beach. Annette is a wonderful host.

The views were absolutely breathtaking — we found ourselves just sitting and soaking it all in. Perfect for a peaceful reset. Clean, stylish, and full of heart. Can’t wait to return.

We booked Ann’s place to relax and reset after a busy few months. It was everything that we had hoped for. The place has beautiful views and is light and bright. We love to cook and Ann’s kitchen has everything you need to cook a beautiful meal. There is a fantastic selection of CD’s, DVD’s and books which we made use of. The house has such a homely feel with comfy couches for lounging. What a gorgeous place, we absolutely loved it.

We loved this sweet, cosy, sunny cottage. The beach is a short walk away and we spent hours there. The kids loved the wildlife spotting and we sat on the big lazy boys in front of the fire in the evening - couldn’t ask for a nicer mini break!

The Beach House was just perfect for our short stay on the Island. It was very comfortable and allowed us to relax and enjoy watching the local wildlife from the living room. Being close to the beach was a lovely treat.

This place is a dream. Beautiful space, peaceful, private. Would be great for multiple families and/or friends. Beds, linen and pillows were all wonderful and the kitchen had everything we needed. We went as just 2 adults and 2 kids, but more than enough space for 3 couples with children. Lovely view and lots of wallabies and wildlife.

This was the second time we stayed here, and it was just as great as we remembered. We love the peaceful environment and wonderful views over the water. The Airbnb is very well maintained and thoughtfully put together, with comfy finishes and lovely artwork which fits in with the natural environment.

We had a wonderful stay at Sonia’s Airbnb! Sonia is a truly kind and thoughtful host—she was incredibly helpful throughout our trip. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed, and we were especially impressed by the detailed travel guide she personally made. It gave us a deeper understanding of Hobart’s history and culture, and added so much value to our experience. The location is also perfect: very close to the city center, yet tucked away in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The large floor-to-ceiling windows were a highlight—they offered stunning views of Hobart and let in beautiful natural light. It was the perfect spot to relax and soak up the sun. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hobart!

Absolutely stunning place and location! Nel and Lorne were amazing hosts and nothing was too much trouble. They had thought of all the little things to make us feel welcome and it truly felt like we were staying with friends…like a home away from home. We arrived to the smell of fresh bread baking, and found a loaf baking in the bread oven. Nel had even left us a jar of her homemade raspberry jam, which was to die for! We fell asleep every night to the sound of the waves which was absolutely magical and so peaceful. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer! Would 100% recommend and would love to come back sometime!

Deb was a fantastic host and her apartment was so lovely and welcoming. Deb really goes the extra mile for her guests. we had the most relaxing and enjoyable stay at Nelson Apartments. would highly recommend.

Wow! Well worth it! Unheard of value. The space is very considerate and functional. It has everything you need and more. Bath n shower , great heating, one of the best kitchens I’ve used, a pantry full of quality food and a very comfortable bed all wrapped in an interesting cave at a great location. Best stay in Hobart, it’s clear Yvette has put a lot of thought and love into this place.

We had a fabulous stay. The apartment was brilliant and in a beautiful area of Hobart. Everything we needed was provided and Anja made sure that any needs were met. We hope to stay again!

Beautiful home and fantastic host! Super clean, elegant space with a very large kitchen, living space and incredibly comfortable bed. Scottie was extremely accommodating with both our 11pm check in and use of the spa under the stars. Always available to help, we felt right at home and loved feeding the sheep in the morning!

This place is amazing!! So beautifuly decorated with many personal touches and delicious home-made treats. Everything about it is spot on and in a beautiful, tranquil, country setting. Hosts are super friendly - we enjoyed our chats & walks through the gardens. Can highly recommend it... we hope to be back!

The location of this two bedroom unit makes it unbeatable! The beds and bedding were fresh and comfy. Kitchen and bathroom both modern. Whilst the unit itself and furnishing were a little dated, it was clean and had everything we needed. The location meant we were not home much!

Beautiful place to stay whilst exploring Hobart. Felt very central and walkable to most areas. Had a wonderful stay here.

We had a great time staying at Robert’s Condo. The location was great for walking everywhere. Close to good cafes and restaurants. Robert added some lovely unexpected little additions which made us feel right at home. Thank you! The condo itself is large and has modern amenities. We look forward to travelling back someday with our 1 year old son.

Roxy and Ambre have done a beautiful job with this unit. You can hear the waves crashing and see the beach from the apartment. Beautifully clean and bed was really comfortable. You are close to many yummy restaurants and a few with delicious vegan GF options. If you like op shopping like me you'll find them in walking distance to the apartment. We stayed for 6 days and the neighbours were lovely saying hi to our son each day. The beach is also a kids paradise with a swing on the sand and an area the community have set up with toys. Lovely little touches in the apartment with a rain jacket and umbrellas. We just loved it and will definitely be back. Thanks for making our holiday so relaxing.
