Cottage holiday rentals in Bruny Island

A fabulous climax to our 10 days in Tassie. Even with strong winds on the first day we were snug in this most private elegantly appointed ‘Boathouse’ with a 270 degree view of the bay through beautiful woodland. There was fresh bread and champagne for our arrival and a variety of pillow types for the bed, which was much appreciated. I saw from the guest book that there are regular visitors who come back every year - it’s no wonder and we hope to be back ourselves.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hundred Acre Hideaway. The accommodation is clean and homey, and the barrel was amazing. Charlie was very welcoming and made sure we knew how to use the barrel.

Fabulously located property. Comfortable and convenient. Karen was very responsive and flexible, providing us with a late check-out, which was very much appreciated.

The property was clean, spacious and comfortable. The hosts were responsive. There was a small issue with a leaking tap but we managed to resolve it relatively quickly. The location is excellent for anyone who wants easy access to Huonville and Ranelagh. I would stay again.

An incredible space ... the gentle lap of the water and soft breeze in the trees soothed our souls. The home was welcoming and comfortable and we enjoyed every minute including some very restful sleep. It was well-appointed and we wanted for nothing. Thank for sharing this beautiful place with us.

We loved staying at the Milkman’s- everything you need to see or do close to Hobart is all within walking distance. Parking in Hobart is not easy but at the time of our stay we could easily park further up the Barrack St hill all day. We appreciate Kat accomodating our needs and also for offering a beautiful old world home that has a mix of old and new both architecturally blended. We would absolutely stay again.

This is a well loved family holiday home. It was like Anna had invited us to share it. The kitchen had everything we could want, with modern appliances. The furniture was both quirky and eclectic.

Louise's Opossum Bay house is the perfect cozy and quiet spot. I take my dogs on beach walks everyday. Everyone is friendly and Louise has been so accomodating and responsive. There's so much natural light and the house stays nice and warm during winter.

Cascade Cottage is quiet, peaceful and had all amenities for our family. We felt right at home and were very comfortable for our week. The house has plenty of heating and beds are comfy. The area is very quiet and even though the cascade female factory is across the road the main access is on the other side of the factory so it’s not busy house side. Pademelons live in the street and come out at night time to kids delight. The Cascade hotel pub up on the main road has amazing meals and The Cascade Brewery cafe has great food also. The house is only a 7-12 min drive from centre of Hobart CBD. You can park at Arglye St car park in the CBD for $4per hour and you can walk anywhere in the city. Tip: visit port Arthur first then ask for a Ticket of Leave at their ticket counter as you exit and its costs you $20 extra on top of your Port Arthur entry but gives you unlimited entry to Cascade Female Factory and back into Port Arthur of 2 years. Saves around $15 per person on CFF entry.

We had an amazing stay at Lemon Tree Cottage. The place is beautiful and clean with all the amenities you could ask for. What made this place really stand out is the sit/stand desk with monitor and laptop stand - perfect for a working holiday. The location in Bellerive is fantastic and a great base from which to explore the city of Hobart. Kasey was a lovely host and was friendly in all her communications. I would happily recommend Lemon Tree Cottage for your next visit to Hobart.

This place is just the sweetest place to stay. Sit on the balcony and watch the chooks by day and pademelons at night. Compact but everything I wanted kitchen. The coolest stairs and wood wall. Close to Woodbridge Village for brekky but also close to Birchs Bay Art Farm, Kettering and not far across to Cygnet too.

Simply love the accomodation with a backyard full of wallabies hopping around. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay, highly recommended!

Lovely and cozy place, very close to all the hotspots Hobart has to offer.

It was such a wonderful place to stay, with gorgeous views from the sunroom out to the bay, and to the beach. Watching the bird life and the local seals. Great instructions from Monique and easy access to everything. Such a secluded spot that is just beautiful. Will be back for sure.

Nice and cossy, quiet, easy access to the city. A lot of resto surrounds and beautiful place small but cossy.

This is a lovely cottage in a great location. Walking distance to many cafes/restaurants, and an easy walk to Salamanca. Cottage is clean and feels very homely - nice to come home to at the end of the day.

We had such a fantastic second stay at Kelly cottage. We love it so much the first time we couldn’t possibly have stayed anywhere else. It is perfectly situated within walking distance to shops cafe and restaurants and everything you need. It was cozy and warm in the cold and had a perfect and private outdoor setting for when the sun shone. We loved the comfortable beds and neat bathroom as well as a well stocked kitchen. We will definitely be back for a third time!

Lisa’s place is a cute cottage in South Hobart. Easy access to a couple of good cafes and a little supermarket a couple of mins walk away; and across the road from a quiet pub w bottle shop. Pleasant walk up to Cascade Brewery and back via the creek. Easy to get into city via $10 uber. The house itself is neat and clean with one bathroom. It is compact but suited our group of 3 and has little courtyard if you need it. Bring your eye mask if you wake w morning light. Neighbourhood is cute and pretty quiet.

Beautiful little cottage in an excellent location. Had everything you’d need. Would definitely stay here again.
