We absolutely loved our stay. The cottage was beautifully decorated and well equipped, making us feel right at home. The area and scenery were beautiful, making for the perfect relaxing stay.

Had a lovely weekend at this cottage for my partner’s birthday. Hot tub was gorgeous, even better in the rain. House was beautiful and having the chickens running around outside was fabulous. Marisa was the perfect host. Answered questions quickly and was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend a stay in this lovely cottage.

We have just had a fantastic stay at The Lamp Post. We were absolutely blown away by the accommodation. Steve and Andrea have thought of absolutely everything. The whole place is luxury and pristine. The hot tub is so easy to use and definitely an extra added bonus to what is a beautiful place to stay. Thank you so much - we will definitely be returning!

Amazing host who went above and beyond by decorating the place with happy birthday banners and balloons for my Mums stay for her 60th birthday. The place has so much character and is in such a perfect location

I don't really want to say too much because part of the brilliance of Darla's is the constant surprises you find! Lots of "ooh" and "ahh" noises throughout our stay as the children and I found more treats and loveliness! The cottage is incredible. The outside areas are so well planned; totally enclosed for the dog and so private. I loved a glass of wine on the covered porch at the front, the children loved sitting out painting pebbles (that's a spoiler) in the back garden and we ALL loved the hot tub. The beds are so comfortable, the pillows amazing, so many towels and so so many extras. When Carol told us not to worry about bringing Toiletries and sauces etc, she meant it!! Freddie (the dog) soon learnt where the treat jar was and I forgot my toothbrush which was not a problem!! Most of all, we were grateful to have Carol and Bob and their daughter next door who gave us privacy but also made us welcome and treated us like royalty. A beautiful place to hideaway. We WILL be back!!

Lovely relaxing cottage with everything we needed. Very cosy and relaxing setting with great views from back windows. Enclosed garden for dog or children. Hot tub was a great perk which was well used by us. Rillington village within 10 min walk which had a small shop and a nice pub ( the fleece). Tips for other travellers The fleece in rillington has a nice garden of weather nice and the food was nice too and dog friendly Ham and cheese which is a 5 minute drive the food was very good and dog friendly too although probably too far to walk Lots of walks nearby, we went to dalby Forrest, mallyham spout in goathland and Levisham near Pickering New Connie’s Chinese in malton was also very good

We stayed at this property for 4days and enjoyed every minute ! It was in an amazing stay and from the off we felt right at home. The house was spotless and had everything we needed, entering the property it felt warm and welcoming. The kitchen and all rooms were spotless and all beds were comfy with everyone sleeping really well. The hot tub and pool were also clean and we enjoyed both on several occasions. Katie was very helpful on a couple of questions and pointers which felt like we were being looked after. We enjoyed our stay so much that we will be booking this property very shortly for the summer!!! Wonderful stay highly recommended.*****

We booked rather last minute and Maria was very responsive and flexible. The place was pristine and very comfortable. Kitchen is very well equipped and the furnishings throughout are great! We felt very much at home! Maria was warm and welcoming and gave us good ideas for where to eat. We truly loved our stay!

Great stay at Sunset Cottage lovely village Jolly Farmer pub next door is really friendly atmosphere and serves some delicious food Cottage is very comfortable with a lovely new bathroom

just returned from holidaying here- June 2025. Myself, kids and the dogs, and we absolutely loved our little peaceful break away, which was much needed. *Spotlessly clean. * great location for exploring Beningbrough hall. * Lovely quiet garden * off road secure parking * Tesco food delivery is available which saved us fetching shopping, as the car was already packed to the rafters we took the dogs, but the weather was schorchio, so majority of our time was spent just relaxing & enjoying the garden or going inside to cool off. The hosts Rebecca & her hubby were absolutely faultless / super helpful & have thought of everything, we were kindly left some milk & some other essentials, even had some treats for the dogs, & more importantly a fan for the hot weather which helped immensely. Not a bad word to say about the place. or hosts, book & enjoy. i would recommend others to visit here. hoping to go back in the cooler weather so we can do more exploring.

Crossmore Lodge is a very comfortable and welcoming home from home. Its location is ideal for easy access to York centre with its many attractions and restaurants as well as out to the surrounding area. Anne is an excellent host and is on hand to answer any questions and to offer any assistance necessary. We will certainly return to Crossmore Lodge if, or when, we visit the York area again.

Pumpkin Cottage was absolutely wonderful for myself, my wife, our one-year-old, and our dog. Every detail had been carefully thought out—from everything our dog could need, including personalied treats, to the fully stocked baby essentials - which went above and beyond what we expected. The local recommendations were spot on. We visited Harewood House, had a lovely meal at the Caballero Lounge, enjoyed the local pub, and explored other nearby gems. Lesley was a fantastic host—warm, responsive, and very easy to communicate with. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Pumpkin Cottage to anyone. It’s a fantastic place to stay and truly felt like a home from home.

What a fantastic little cottage, perfect for a weekend away. Lovely hosts and perfect location for exploring Yorkshire, we would definitely recommend and hope to visit again sometime.

Beautiful and cosy little cottage in a picturesque village a 15/20 minute drive from York. We stayed in winter &, besides anything else, the log burning fire alone made it ultra cosy whilst the winds outside blew. The cottage had all the amenities for us to feel at home, including a very good shower and full kitchen. Rich was a very friendly and responsive host who was more than willing to accommodate our request to bring our dog too. Thank you very much for letting us stay!!

A lovely stay in a beautiful cottage that is really comfortable, clean and cosy. A peaceful spot, nice village pub and lots of nice walks. Handy for Bridlington, Hornsea and all surrounding areas. Would definitely visit again .

Had a great time in York to celebrate a special birthday. Booked after reading reviews and the location from the town centre. Beautiful cottage, excellent surroundings and amazing price. Host was very helpful and great communication. Would recommend and looking to rebook. Thank you for making my first trip to York and amazing and a memorable one. Garden centre next door is amazing, would have purchased more if I had more space in the car.

Holly Cottage was beautiful. I would recommend it to anyone. The outside chairs were perfect for breakfast or an afternoon glass of wine. The cottage was immaculate in presentation, very comfortable and lovely in the sun (luckily how we had it) but would be great in the winter with the log burner. local pub very welcoming, they will hopefully be serving food soon.. so location will be even better. Easy to find and access. Sad to leave!

Emma's place was simply gorgeous! We loved our stay and couldn't stop marvelling at the beautiful location. The cottage was pristine and comfortable and even bigger and more beautiful than the photos. The surroundings and the views from every window were amazing. Emma was a lovely host, helpful and flexible. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

Booked this gorgeous cottage retreat for a girls weekend getaway and it was perfect! The cottage is furnished beautifully, we felt relaxed as soon as we walked through the door, the cottage is spotless and has a tranquil feel, ideal for pure relaxation. Combining a spa day at the Ashka Spa was the perfect addition to our retreat and I highly recommend to anyone needing to put life on pause and take a moment to reset and refresh. The cottage is set in a beautiful, quiet village with a fantastic pub round the corner, a great coffee/bakery shop opposite and Ashka spa just across the road. The perfect getaway retreat!

Cosy cottage convenient for York and the Yorkshire Moors. Angie provided very clear instructions and promptly replied to any queries. A nice touch was finding some essentials such as tea, coffee, milk and biscuits on arrival. Fast wifi and a sunny outdoors space helped make for a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended.

This was a stopover for my wife, daughter and I as we weee visiting York Uni for an open day, we were travelling from Bristol so needed somewhere fairly nearby to York, this was about 40 minute drive, so ideal and cheaper than staying in York. The property is set away from main caravan dealership in a quiet area which was perfect with its own patio, garden and view of farmland. Inside is immaculate and modern, lovely bedrooms both with en-suite and perfect sized kitchen. Can’t fault contact from host, any messages I sent were replied to within an hour or less. Highly recommend for a stopover or short stay

This was our second stay at Naburn Cottage , its immaculately clean and the location is superb. If you travelling into York right outside the entrance into Naburn Lock and the park & ride is a few miles away.

The cottage is beautiful and has everything you need! Helena met us with the keys, she had also left us cake which was delicious. Helena was so helpful even before we arrived… she sent me numbers of local taxi firms and even offered to take us to Tesco in the next village. I also left some items behind and Helena offered to post them to me! The are is stunning and I can’t praise the. Cottage or Helena enough! We hope to return form a more rralacees time and get some walking in. Thank you for a great stay x
