Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Brecon

What an amazing place! This is something special. It is a beautiful thought out structure with spectacular furnishings and such a well designed space. Underfloor heating! That is a first for me and my partner and I loved it. The hosts kept the rustic look alive in how they designed it and even had a thatched roof!. Outside the cottage is a world of summer flowers, carefully attended by the older lady who lived in the adjoining cottage. Of course the hot tub and sauna were a great addition. I loved that they did not spare expense with the furnishings from the well designed dish drip tray to the fancy fan in the bedroom. We wish we could have spent more time here as after a few days travelling we spent one of our days lounging in the hot tub with a glass of champagne whilst listening to the constant bird chorus and watching the horses saunter around in adjoining fields. I cannot overstate how amazing this place is. I was looking for an escape into the woods and it was exactly what I wanted. The setting of the cottage is stunning, right on the river and surrounded by trees. It feels remote, even though it's only a short walk into the village. The welcome was really friendly, you can tell that the owners are very active in their community and have put together loads of local info. I particularly liked the map of the community forrest which made me feel confident enough to explore walks by myself. The cottage itself is beautifully kept, with everything that you need, and then some. I didn't want to leave.

The property was a beautiful peaceful location. Being a converted barn everything was on one level. Very contemporary and tastefully decorated throughout. Every eventuality has been catered for whether a short or long stay. Looking forward to returning when next in the area. Totally recommended.

We had a lovely time at Alison’s place during the book festival. V easy to reach the festival place, and the town at other times. Comfortable, quiet place with good beds (including lovely linen sheets). Cute secluded garden to sit in and have coffee. The only thing we would have wished for was a set of black-out blinds in each bedroom. So pack an eye mask if you like your bedroom dark! But that really was the only suggestion we had. A very peaceful location, friendly hosts and an adorable dog called Dotty! Spacious, clean and comfortable accommodation, just 10 miles from Hay-on-Wye so the perfect place to stay.

Great stay in a lovely location. The place was perfect for us to stay with our 6-month old baby. There was everything we could have needed and plenty of space for us. Great that a high chair was provided. The location was perfect for us attending the Hay on Wye festival (10 min drive). The views across the fields and hills are amazing!

We (3 adult friends) spent 3 nights at Stephanie’s place as a base for the Hay festival at end of May. It was about a 30 minute drive into the festival. We loved staying at Stephanie’s place. Very homely and we all slept very soundly. Onsite parking and the parking around the corner all made it very easy to get around. We didn’t do any cooking, but the provided tea and coffee was very welcome. Highlight was also the provided board games - we cracked open the Trivial Pursuit most nights. Stephanie is a great and responsive host. Loved our stay and can highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at The Butty studio 1 Really clean and everything we needed, clear instructions to get there and lots of helpful recommendations from James . Enjoyed meals at The Aberglais and The Coach and Horses. Great visits to the four water falls and Brecon Mountain Railway also Cwmcarn Forest Drive , lots to do in area. Would stay again Denise & Robin

We spent just one night at Kay’s lovely apartment. She responded quickly to any questions , very clean, comfy bed and lovely decking over a very pretty stream.

Wayne and Delyth are very friendly and made us feel so welcome, lovely hosts! The lodge itself is stunning and exactly like described. The lodge was very clean and milk provided in the fridge for tea or coffee. Lovely garden space and parking provided. I had a great stay and Sian and Gareth’s place. Sian was really helpful and flexible with checking in and out which was much appreciated. I was given a tour of the flat on arrival and shown where everything was. The flat was immaculately clean and looked like the photos. It was spacious and had everything I needed for the weekend, especially the kitchen which is well equipped. The location was peaceful and accessible for getting about South Wales. I’d definitely recommend a stay here and will be back!

It’s our 2nd time staying and won’t be our last! Carol and Richard are the perfect hosts and we are so pleased to have found this gem. It’s a great location for exploring the city and an absolutely beautiful flat, so thoughtfully designed with lots of special touches. Would highly recommend.

We had a great stay at this lovely apartment. It’s stylishly decorated, well-equipped, and just a short walk from the centre of town. The cot and high chair provided were perfect for our 1.5-year-old, and everything was very comfortable and easy. Check-in instructions were clear and straightforward. Parking outside the apartment was full when we arrived on Friday evening, which made unloading a little tricky, but there was space on Sunday when we left so it may just have been the timing. Overall, a really nice base for our weekend and we’d definitely recommend it!

The flat was lovely inside. Jane was a great host, very quick to reply to messages and provided very clear instructions. The flat had all the bits you needed in it &Jane provided milk and some lovely bits for our stay!

We had the most wonderful stay with Mags. The house is stunning, surrounded by the most beautiful landscaped gardens. It was lovely to wake up to the birdsong in the morning. The property itself is cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We slept great and the shower is excellent! Lastly, Mags was the cherry on top. She was kind, attentive and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome, albeit we only stayed for one night. One of the best Air BnBs we’ve stayed in - we hope we can find an excuse to come back again. Brava!

Really cute apartment. Modern, clean and well located. Really quiet area, slept well. We were in Swansea for an event on Sunday and it was a very easy 20min straightforward drive to the centre. Also, lovely welcoming touches, milk, bread loaf, butter and handmade Welsh cakes. Highly Recommend a stay.

We had an amazing long weekend break here. Pita communicated really well and her apartment was a home from home. Everything was here, from extra kitchen items ilke foil etc to shower gel and soap in the bathroom. The apartment was spotlessly clean and smelt fresh, it was the small things that made a big difference - like having fresh milk in the fridge and tea and coffee to make a cuppa as soon as we arrived and the welcome pack was wonderful, wine and nibbles went down a treat in the evening! The location is one of the best we have stayed in - ideal if you like swimming, surfing or paddleboarding. Having the lifeguards on the beach from 10am-6pm everyday gave reassurance too. Large sliding doors stayed open until well after 11pm so nice to listen to the waves! Thank you Pita for everything, it was lovely to meet you and we hope to be back next year.

Kevin’s place was wonderful. His home was inviting, spacious and very clean. The pictures on the site were accurate. The kitchen was well equipped and the extra touches in the house made for a welcoming stay. Location was excellent. Being in the city central there were many things to do and see and it was so close to the train station and bus depot. Communication with the host was excellent and the he promptly responded to any request. We would highly recommend staying there.
