House holiday rentals in Bosque County

The house and pool were perfect for our family stay. Plenty of “extras” was a definite plus (I.e. towels, spices, cooking utensils, etc.). Host(s) and owners were very accommodating and responsive. Looking forward to our next stay!

A great getaway for a weekend. A beautiful place to relax, and recover from a busy schedule. The farm is10 minutes outside of Glen Rose. It felt as we were much further . Such a peaceful place. Thank you Samantha for sharing your place.

First of all, I would strongly advise firming up your travel plans before booking this rental... we needed to add a day to our booking (originally booked last fall, changed in January). In the meantime the daily rate had gone up; we not only had to pay the new rate for the extra day (I would get that), but for the whole rental period. Very unexpected. With that said, the place was GREAT! It was definitely worth the money paid. Plenty of sleeping room, lots of room outdoors, the pool and hot tub were certainly utilized, and the view!!! All in all, an excellent spot for us to gather to celebrate my granddaughter's nurse's pinning and college graduation. So, in summary, I highly recommend the venue. Very unique property. I just also highly suggest you know the exact times you want to rent.

This home was exactly as described, and as the photos indicated. We were a group of 8, including 2 little ones; having 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms was ideal. The kitchen area opened to the pool area with a view of the lake. Very peaceful. Neighbors were nearby, but not noticed. The couple questions we had were addressed right away. We had a chef come in and make dinner one night, which was awesome. We took a trip to Fossil Rim, which everyone enjoyed. Spent most of the rest of the time in the pool. A great weekend.

We had a lovely stay at Jessica's place. It was extremely clean. There were ants in the kitchen but we only saw them the first day. After we began cooking and using the kitchen, they dissipated. The pool appointments were fantastic! There were plenty of beach towels and flotation equipment from live jackets to floats. There were plenty of paper towels and toilet paper. The beds were soft and clean. TVs were easy to work. The pool was clean and cool. The house stayed very cool! Despite what another tenant said, we did not feel afraid of or threatened by the property next door. We never saw anyone there and inanimate objects cannot harm us. The decor was gorgeous and overall the property was extremely clean. It was a fanatic getaway! Thank you, Jessica!

Ward's house was an absolute gem. The house is so beautiful. The beds were comfortable. The fishing pond was awesome. My kids enjoyed catching some really nice bass. The pool and hot tub were just what we needed. We enjoyed our stay so much we extended and stayed an extra day. Ward was always friendly and responsive. We will definitely stay again in the future.

This was our second stay at Scott's place & it was just as pleasant as before. It's so peaceful and quiet here, and the backyard and patio is the perfect space to unwind following a local project we were involved with. The home is comfortable, and we had everything we needed at hand. Our dogs love playing, running and roaming around the huge yard - which is fenced well - and enjoy staring across the road at the turkeys on that neighbor's property. They still seem bewildered by those funny looking creatures. :) So grateful for another great stay and we look forward to our next opportunity.

Such a wonderful comfortable place to stay it was very spacious and open had everything that we needed and we put another great memory down for another year. Would definitely stay there again.

Words can’t describe how amazing this place is. Every single corner has something special to it, from the lighting to the walls. They took the time putting it together. Walking in was love at first sight, can’t describe it. Is better in person! The outdoors you get to see deers from the back porch! Love this place will be back soon!

Great place to be. Quite neighborhood. Great responses from the host when we accidentally locked the doors. Kids had a good place for playing.

This is a wonderful spot. The hosts are incredibly gracious and helpful. The property itself is very pretty and peaceful. It is also well situated for local activities in Fossil Rim, Glen Rose, Hico, and Stephenville. Highly recommend.

Fabulous home! I grew up many homes that were similar. Felt like I was at home! You did a very great job decorating your home! Bed was awesome! Loved the sheets!!! I appreciated the washer and dryer! Great hosts and great property.

My husband and I rented this cute cottage for our romantic getaway and it did NOT disappoint! Her place was not only quiet and peaceful but it had everything we needed. We wanted to secluded ourselves in a peaceful environment where we could just be together with no distractions and this place was simply perfect! The host Brenda responded to our messages very quickly and by the end of our stay we felt like we were close friends and we just can't express enough how peaceful and happy my husband and I felt when we were heading home. If your looking to get away from life for a bit and just recharge your batteries this is the perfect place!! Thank you Brenda, we will be back!! 😊

Had some issues with our rental, We were moved to a different unit and that one worked out ok.

Jackie's Jewel was an ideal 4BR, 2.5 BA house for our family and dog to spend Thanksgiving holidays. There was plenty of room for us to cook with a well stocked kitchen, watch football and movies in the 2 family rooms and eat, do puzzles and games in the dining room. We loved the outdoor patio, large fenced in yards and the short walk to the lake. We also enjoyed Wed night fajita special at Tres Hermananos Mexican Restaurant, shopping in downtown Whitney and golfing nearby. We appreciate Jackie's hospitality and recommend this Airbnb to families that want a homey atmosphere.

The house was clean, comfortable, and very spacious! Everything worked perfectly and the house was well stocked. We loved the screened in porch and swing!

Although it is very close to the highway, the road noise dies down around 9pm. It was very comfortable and clean and Joni is very helpful! Definitely a cute and comfy place to stay especially if you’re wanting a short drive to all the local tourist spots around Glen Rose!

We had an awesome time at Jason’s place. The lake access is not far away and after a short walk the kids enjoyed catching huge perch around the boat house. We loved the fire pit area and spent a lot of time visiting around a warm fire. The giant bunk bed room was a kid favorite. It had eight full size beds in the bunk room and another three beds in three other rooms. There is a little walking trail not far away. We also drove 10 min to riverside park to fly fish for a few hours in the morning. If you are looking for a place on lake Whitney that sleeps 16, has plenty of outside space and water access this is a great one.
