Cottage holiday rentals in Borough of Tameside

The house was lovely, great location and within easy reach to places of interest. Kitchen outstanding layout and homely. Beds were very comfortable and hot tub great after a long day on the hills! However, the bedroom upstairs has a step that leads to the stairs and if you lose your footing will cause a serious accident as railings are not secured as they should be, and wobbles as you hold on going up and down stairs. No en-suite upstairs so if you want the loo during night, and miss that step it would be good night sienna! The sofa looks new but very very uncomfortable and I found the floor better to park my bum. There are some chips in a couple of the cups and a few wear/tear marks on the bar stools. The host responded in a timely manner to a couple of questions which I had about WiFi code and my stay was home from home, we enjoyed our 4 nights in the Peaks. Thanks Scott.

This Airbnb was so cosy, we loved staying here. Not too far out from the Peak District which we visited both days we stayed and with a Tesco just up the road we were always sorted with essentials. The hottub was lovely after long days of walking, and the beds were so comfy to sleep in. I really recommend this place, it is very well priced for all you get included. We had the best time ever! Fabulous place to stay with lovely views. This is an exceptionally good holiday home, thoughtfully designed and kitted out in a splendid location with views and walks from the door, but only a 10 minute drive into Buxton. Esther was extremely helpful and responded quickly and positively to all communications. It was great to have 5 en-suites, and the beds were very comfortable. It rained a lot for the first 36 hours we were there, but it was still great!

The Old Barn is spacious and comfortable - just watch for some low hanging lights if you are tall! The kitchen is very well equipped for cooking. The hot tub is great and the whole place is private. There is a narrow, steep track to get down to the lodges, but the roads and parking on the site itself are good.

We loved staying at Scarlett’s place. We had everything we needed and everything was so easy to use. Very responsive host and great for letting us know that the place was ready an hour early! Hot tub was nice and warm with great location and privacy. We went to travellers rest (10 min walk) and the food was so nice and big portion sizes for the price. We even went back later on for the Wednesday night quiz night! Overall great place and would definitely stay again. Thank you

The cottage was in the most gorgeous location, surrounded by fields that made for amazing views! The hot tub and outdoor table provided lovely ways to enjoy the sunset. The location is great perfect for drives to walking trails nearby. Couldn’t fault it and would love to come again next year!

Great stay and Brian is lovely! Clear instructions and a stones throw from Buxton centre, the Monsal trail etc! Really enjoyed our stay here!

We had a great time as a family of four. The hot tub was amazing with incredible views. Communication was great and the host replied promptly. Would stay again!

We have stayed here a couple of times now and will be back again. The location is perfect for us. Within walking distance of shops yet you wouldn't know it when you are in the house or garden. There is a Fish and Chip shop across the road that serves the most delicious fish and chips we have ever tasted. Well worth breaking a diet for! The garden is fully enclosed which is great for our two small dogs to run around in, this place is genuinely dog friendly. Fast internet and a huge tv,

The place was perfect for our weekend away with our GSD Nala. Gemma was very accommodating and answered all questions asked efficiently. The area was stunning, with local walks and hikes available straight from the doorstep or a short drive away. There isn’t a lot around for shopping or food but the peace you get from the area is what we were hoping for. Would definitely stay again.

Very happy with the accommodation and area , walking distance of the tram into the centre of Manchester , village is lovely and quiet . Hosts communicated well and very attentive .

Eleanor was an excellent host. The cottage itself was just right for our weekend away with friends. We had a great stay. Hot water in plentiful supply, cosy beds, although my friend had to mind her head on the beams!! The patio area was private and away from main house, we had an excellent evening just chilling out there x Thank you 😊

Claire was the most amazing host, for the most amazing property. We hired the Mews and then North and South Cottage too for my wedding accommodation - all three were absolutely amazing! The properties were spotless, modern, comfortable and the hosts were so friendly and kind. I would highly recommend this listing and any others that Claire looks after too. She elevated the property even more with her amazing customer service and prompt replies!

We had an amazing stay at The Cottage to celebrate Mum's 60th birthday! The Cottage is in a beautiful, peaceful location and has everything you could need for a stay away from home. Thank you Sarah for everything, and for the great recommendations for dog-friendly days out and restaurants. We all loved it, dogs included!

Glorious setting, many walks right from the doorstep. The host, James, was very accommodating and it was a well appointed property. Loved the fresh honey and eggs that could be purchased Very good food at the local pub, Would highly recommend a stay here. I did not want to leave!

We’ve had a lovely couple of days at the Old Dairy. The cottage was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, in a peaceful and very picturesque location. Natalie was extremely responsive and helpful to any queries we had, and provided really clear check-in instructions and information generally. The recommendations for places to visit, walk and eat were also great. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer, but we’d love to visit again 😊 Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough!

A lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Very comfortable with everything we needed in terms of kitchen equipment, cosy wood burner, very comfortable bed, lovely views over the garden to the hills. Very peaceful. Fabulous to hear the cuckoo! We had everything we needed. Village close by for essentials , well stocked spar, lovely farm shop, good pubs. Francesca gave us a lovely warm welcome on arrival, and had left some delicious goodies and essentials in the kitchen! We would love to return here as base for more exploration of the area. Fantastic for hiking, climbing, running and cycling and chilling! Highly recommend!

A lovely cottage perfectly situated in the heart of the hills, it has a great number of trails starting right outside, or a few minutes walk away. Cosy, clean, private and has everything you need. Very close walking distance to pubs and shops and Jill was so friendly! Would high recommend!

What a gem of a property, clean, very comfortable, extremely well equipped and in a perfect location to explore the Peak District. The beauty of the surroundings is majestic, could not ask for anything more. The EV charger is a very welcome feature given the dearth of public chargers in the area. Local pubs lived up our expectations. Patrick & Anne were most helpful throughout. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Anne's cottage and we will be back!

Absolutely perfect, the home was very welcoming, location perfectly quiet and peaceful Emma the host was so lovely and respected our privacy but was also up for a chat with great recommendations, home was clean and smelt great, great amenities literally no complaints what so ever PLEASE stay here, we will be coming back thank you Emma and David !!!
