Lowick House c18th spectacular Lakeland home

DamienRating, 5 stars1 month ago
It was a fantastic location to get the family together for a long weekend in the Lake District. Lowick House was an absolutely brilliant place to stay and in the perfect location. The gardens were gorgeous and the kids absolutely loved exploring and just 'being kids' outdoors. We made use of the BBQ which worked great and we loved the firepit area with all the seating and wood provided. The host was amazing, easy to contact, proactive with communications and helpful with any questions we may have had. Many thanks for helping to make it a very memorable weekend!

Kings Head: 2 Bedroom Countryside Cottage

RobinRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a wonderful 3 nights in the Kings Head cottage. The lounge area is as stunning and unique as the pictures suggest! We chose a weekend that coincided with the tasting menu and Sunday lunch and would highly recommend both. The produce was local and lots from their stunning garden. The breakfasts were superb featuring fresh rhubarb from the garden and best pastry ever tried! Everyone was friendly and helpful and our dog was made to feel very welcome too! Enjoyed two local pubs called blacksmith’s arms and farmer’s arms on our other 2 evenings - both great. Enjoyed a long hike up from the hidden duddon valley which was a lovely quiet route to Dow Crag and coniston old man (only downside was the 30 min drive to our starting point). Local nice walks from the cottage included heathwaite fell and duddon sands.

No Eleven@The Ironworks, Lake District

DavidRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Glyn was so helpful. Initially I was overwhelmed with the instructions as I was so anxious about travelling with a vision impaired partner. Glynn’s instructions were very easy to follow, I worried unnecessarily, and Glyn went out of his way to assist me with our baggage, local restaurants etc. The apartment was wonderful and the stay enjoyable. Highly recommend the property to any prospective travellers

The Barns - Low Stott Park, nr Lake Windermere.

AmeliaRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Really enjoyed our stay at the Barns. Looks exactly like in the photos, it’s a beautiful place for those who love mid century modern design. Really peaceful location. Loved going down to Lakeside and Newby Bridge for walks, food and the Spa. The Swann is great for drinks and meals, and had live music outside on Friday night. Much quieter than Bowness or Ambleside, but both in easy reach in the car. Would stay here again and recommend to people wanting a relaxing break in the Lakes.

Molly’s Pantry

FrancesRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Great place to stay, lots of leaflets to browse when we got there and very clean. Provided lots of towels. and blankets. We loved the picnic table outside to play games on in the sun and watch the lamas. The instructions for the washing machine, cooker and dish washer were helpful. There was a path to walk right outside which was great for the day where we didn't want to drive. The shops are far away but we did a Tesco order, the van couldn't get down the alleyway but we walked up with bags and that worked well. Overall we would stay here again!

Serene hamlet on the edges of Coniston Water

Giovanni AntonioRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Brenda is very friendly and hospitable. Staying at hers is almost like visiting a friend, possibly the true essence of Airbnb and old school B&Bs when people opened the doors to their home to strangers and made them feel welcome. Brenda gave me clear instructions to reach the property, and she was there to welcome me when I arrived. She attentively prepared me a tasty and filling breakfast every morning of my stay. Brenda also helped me with precious tips for local walks and exploration. The property has the charm and warmth of a old family home, it’s not pristine or spotless but very functional, comfortable and cosy. Thank you for having me! Giovanni
