A gem of a place, very quiet, 15 mins drive from Bantry, Sheep's Head and a variety of places within easy drive. We had great sleep and privacy, the property is set back from road and right on the water. Stephanie was friendly, informative, made us feel right at home and Buster the pug was on duty if we wanted some animal company!

Absolutely perfect stay! This apartment exceeded all expectations — beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, and incredibly comfortable. Set in one of the most stunning spots in West Cork, it’s the ideal place to unwind. Anna is a truly exceptional host; her warm welcome was one of the highlights of our trip. The freshly baked scones waiting for us on arrival were such a thoughtful touch after a long journey. I had brought a travel cot for our baby, but ended up leaving it in the car when I saw the gorgeous, cosy cot Anna had already prepared — it felt like a home from home. Every detail had been thought of, and the whole experience was so restful and special. We feel lucky to have stayed here and genuinely hope we’ll have the chance to return. Highly recommend!

The apartment is in a spacious, beautiful, peaceful rural setting including a herb and lettuce garden that we were free to use (spring-summer has its advantages!). Pristine apartment (warm and comfortable with good kitchen and bathroom facilities); great location for exploring the south-west peninsulars of Mizen, Sheep's Head and Beara. Walkable local village. A beautiful stay. Niamh’s house is so clean , a delight to be in. The beds were super comfortable. Everything you could possibly need was in the house which was so well presented and organised. Niamh went to the trouble of having some birthday decorations for my Mom who was so delighted when we got to the house. Highly recommend - we will be back A fabulous stay

This is one of the best stays we have ever experienced. The photos don’t do it justice, the home, grounds & view of the ocean are absolutely breathtaking ! Everything you need is on hand, we were inspired! Fresh flowers & comfy blankets, books, every detail was taken care of. We did not want to leave. Gavin was friendly and gave us great tips & suggestions for exploring this incredible area. We would give 10 stars if we could!!! Book this extraordinary stay.!

Kilcomane Cottage is one of the loveliest surprises I've had with an Airbnb booking. As shown in the listing, it sits in a seaside location very close to the southernmost point in West Cork. But it's the property setting that makes this a magical experience. Tucked away on a family farm sitting above the bay, an open gate welcomes you into a stone-lined driveway and lush garden that rises to a stunning view of the peninsula and open sea horizon. The path ends at the cottage, a quaint extension of a bigger house, very private and self-contained. It is surrounded by hedgerows with colorful blooms, rolling green pastures for two beautiful horses, and an expansive view of the sea that takes your breath away. The home is cozy and comfortable, but I found myself spending as much time as possible on the back patio, taking in the sun and dreamlike scene around me, visited only by a few curious and affectionate cats. Do not hesitate to book this home! Spacious open living space, three large bedrooms – windows and views from all of them. 2 modern bathrooms walk-in showers. Kitchen stocked for daily living, plus a dishwasher, microwave, oven. Nice washer/dryer which was a bonus for us. We’re from the USA and lived here for 7 days. The views are amazing from every room – green hillsides with sheep and cows and views of Dunmanus Bay. Two lovely decks – one off the kitchen overloooking the hillside and one overlooking the bay. This is just the experience we were looking for. Anne and Pat are wonderful hosts. They welcomed us with Anne’s, fresh out-of-the-oven brown bread, a package of Durrus cheese, and farm fresh milk and eggs! What a treat. The home is just south of Durrus making it a great location for exploring Mizen Head and Sheep’s Head Peninsula, and going back into Bantry, etc. Road tripped every day to small villages, towns, scenic drives, stone circles. Just the best for us!
