Welcome to the lower Vogelsberg in the Alte Schule Wettges, idyllically located in the 80-inhabitant district of Birstein, surrounded by green meadows and forests, a beautiful distant view and directly on the Vogelsberger Südbahn cycling path. Our listed and newly renovated house is in a quiet location and has a large cozy garden with seating and barbecue facilities, free Wi-Fi and parking directly at the house. The accommodation can accommodate up to 14 people.

We are renting a newly refurbished 2-room apartment with kitchen and bathroom in downtown Waechtersbach. Behind the house everything is green The castle garden with the restored castle is opposite. Wächtersbach train station is about 500 m away. Every half hour there is a train going to Frankfurt. The journey time is approx. 45 minutes. All shopping is local and within walking distance. The R3 long-distance cycle path can be reached in 3 minutes.

The house is a dream and you lack nothing! Nothing at all! The location is unique and only a stone's throw from the terrace to the NABU-protected bird pond. During the season, there is a wonderful frog concert every evening. Everyone can read for themselves what else there is to see and experience in and around Freiensteinau. The house itself is tasteful, minimalist and furnished with so much attention to detail that it was difficult for me to leave. I don't think it will be the last time I visit Friedericke and her boyfriend, who, by the way, are always happy to meet and are always helpful and nearby. Thank you for everything. You have created a wonderful refuge!

Beautiful quiet apartment and wonderful hosts. Sabine and Peter were very kind and went the extra mile on everything like lending a mountain bike to get around, or switching on heating and providing a radiator heater, or letting me use their private washing machine, or driving me to and from the grocery store on a rainy day. Wonderful people and the apartment itself is also very peaceful and well done. Just a bit dark with less sunlight but for a week it’s a really good pick to stay in this area. Close proximity to nature, the Samarpan Europe Ashram /Meditation center, and the Rosenberg Ayurvedic clinic.

The location is amazing with a mesmerising view! Great location in the countryside of Germany for a relaxing weekend. Everything is spot clean and high quality experience. You really observe that Florian put a lot of thought in designing everything. The sauna and Jacuzzi was easy to use. It took a while to warm up the water with wood, but was worth it. Florian also provides wood on-site, which is convenient. Highly recommended! I would come here again with some friends in the future if opportunity arises.

Anne's place is quite and peaceful and located right next to an historic baking house. We felt right at home. Everything was as described. Anne is a very friendly, open and helpful host, she even provided some bottles of mineral water and pasta, our arrival was quite late this day and we weren't sure to get groceries. ☺️ Easily a 5+ rating. thank you 🙏
