Super cozy home in extremely quiet surroundings. We really enjoyed the heated jacuzzi after a long day on a motorcycle.

Great experience. It was such a joy for me and 18 others to come to Gunnar's beautiful home. Amazingly beautiful setting. There was an easy and clear communication between Gunnar and me - so it was really easy. It was clean and tidy. It was a pleasure to get to. There were bathrooms for pretty much every room.

Beautiful place with beautiful views. The jacuzzi with the view became a hit with us. Perfect for bigger groups. I would have liked to have another bathroom when we were 12 girls, but with a little planning it went well.

The place was amazing, and the host was always quick to reply to either phone calls or text. Will visit this amazing place again for sure!🤩

An amazing place that deserves top score. Very well cared for and inviting.. Lovely outdoor areas where a fantastic sea view and several warm outdoor spaces have been put to the focus. The cabin has panoramic windows throughout the front, here a never tired of the view. The cabin contained everything we needed of modern equipment, also fishing rods, kayak and things for play and fun outdoors. Great and easy access down to the pier and swimming area as well as access to a boat is of course a big plus. Here you can fish from the jetty if you want. I really recommend this place. Here you have a great place, also in the early summer and fall . Host Andreas is genuinely committed to ensuring guests have the best possible stay. Happy summer, this was good and 5 stars from us. We would gladly came back here!

We were very happy in the small house and the hostess was super nice and helpful with questions! Would go back in a heartbeat.

Lovely place in lovely surroundings. Everything was as described; possibility for canoeing, nice walks on nearby trails and short way to Evje city center. Promise to bring pets - that was a big plus for us. Payment for cleaning is via vipps. It's nice to know that the tap water is mineral-rich and brownish in color, hence some decolouration in the shower, toilet and stomp. No problem as long as you bring drinking water.

The house is cozy and very well equipped. We felt comfortable! There were even two bags of wood for the fireplace for us. That was also good, because the living room can only be heated with the fireplace. Communication was smooth and Trude always responded very quickly. The only drawback: The path to the house is a toll road and costs NOK 100 per entry. We thought carefully about whether we would make bigger trips. You also have to go there to go shopping.

I guess its like stepping back 100 years but with 2 bars of 5G. Lovely basic cabin next to an idyllic lake in the middle of nowhere. No running water or electricity so you have to plan ahead a little before your stay ( powerbank, drinking water,headlamp and non perishable food). We had the best weather ever in June but be prepared for the mygg around the lake when the wind drops. Big fish in the lake.

We stayed with four people for 3 weeks in this beautiful idyllic Hytte. Although right on the street, it was incredibly quiet. The hostess is very friendly and extremely helpful, questions were answered quickly, thank you so much for the great care! The cabin is functionally equipped, even the firewood was free. We were completely satisfied and would love to come back anytime! Great for the children was the small extra cabin and the kindly left stand-up paddle... All perfect!

This place is really special! It starts on arrival with a motorboat. The cabin is very cozy (especially if you heat it with the wood stove). On a walk across the island we found that we were alone on this one. We heated our food in the existing pots on the hot oven, we showered on the terrace with the provided water from Simeon. For those who have a special experience and want to have an adventure, this accommodation is recommended.

This was our second visit to Royland Gard. It’s a perfect place to relax and enjoy the nature. Gunnar was a very helpful and friendly host. We would highly recommend this place.

We actually booked this cabin as part of our Norway trip because we needed a last stop in the vicinity of the ferry of Kristiansand, after our other cabins up north. We actually ended up loving this cabin and place the most of all. We were sad that we had to leave already after four nights. The cabin is super luxurious and the water system is really cool and inventive. The garden is beautiful and pretty private and completely fenced in, which was nice for our dog. We had great weather and the deck and lounge chairs were a good addition to the cabin. The area was beautiful too. If you’re a hiking enthusiast: there is a nice 24km route through nature that you can start from the cabin (kirkevegen-futevegen-kongsvegen). Very convenient that a shop is within walking distance. Would definitely recommend booking this cabin.

A beautiful house in the middle of nature! Super quiet location and only accessible via a private road. In the house, there is everything you need and the kitchen is superbly equipped. Here you can stay longer and enjoy the great nature. Many hiking opportunities right outside the front door. Or also quite quickly reached nearby by car. The hosts were very nice and accommodating and helped us super quickly with any questions! All in all we had a great vacation with children and dog and would come back any time!

Great place to stay, even when you're stay is longer than just a view days. It was a good spot too forget the troubles of ordinary life. I had everything I needed. A big bathtub (lake), toilet (hole in the ground), silence and good company (bordercollie). Communication with owner was very good and did reply messages quickly. Owner was also willing to bring luggage to the cabin and in for a good conversation during our rides. So, I can go on and on with compliments but that will never fit in this window. I'll be back someday without any doubts 👌

The house was very comfortable and complete, had everything for a nice stay. Marianne was a good host and responded to questions quickly. The location of the house and view are beautiful and very quiet. However, facilities and activities require a relatively long drive. Would like to return again.

We went on a weekend trip to the cabin and had an absolutely wonderful time! Nina always responded quickly and was helpful with anything we might need. The nature around was incredibly nice and the place itself was idyllic.

This accommodation will amaze everyone! It's just beautiful up there. I wish I'd never left.

Awesome cabin and area

A beautiful hut in a great natural setting. In winter you can cross-country skiing, in summer hiking. The cottage has everything you need to feel comfortable and let the impressions of the day sink in. Perfect for self-catering. You can only spend such beautiful holidays in Norway! We'll be back!

We were in the cabin over New Year's Eve. From temperatures between 2 and -13 degrees, everything was there. The cottage is very cute and includes everything you need and more. With the wood-burning stove, the cabin can be heated in a relaxed manner. We had to get wood a few times, but that's no problem at the YX gas station in Evje. If you don't have any more wood, there is still a propane gas heater. We enjoyed it very much. It is super cozy when there is snow chaos outside and everything is nice and warm inside. The contact with Aase was easy, quick and straightforward. We will be happy to come back again.
