Family-friendly holiday rentals in Bilbao

We were looking for a place to rest, disconnect, enjoy and taste big and small moments in the company of our children, friends and dogs, and we have gotten right. We felt at home while on vacation. The wonderful views, the places and beaches...impressive, the phenomenal house and the Host, Ricardo, always making sure we were well. It's been a wonderful week!

Antonio is a fantastic host. Super responsive and very helpful especially with recommendations for local walks and for helping with animal health certificate requirements for returning to the UK. The house was big enough for the 11 of us and there was plenty for all of us to do for the whole week we were there. Any issues we had were resolved incredibly quickly by Antonio. Just a short walk from the house is a lovely little cafe that sells baguettes, coffee and some alcohol - very reasonably priced but please note only takes cash which caught us out on our first visit. We visited Balmaseda a couple of times which has an incredible bakery which I would very much recommend. The train station is less than 5 minutes walk but we didn’t get the train whilst we were there - it may have been quicker to get to bilbao and something to check out if you visit again. We were very comfortable

Super friendly and attentive hosts, unbeatable value apartment, 10/10 location. If you want to disconnect, you can do so without any problem. If you want to travel and discover, you can do it without any problems. If you need to relax after the trip or sightseeing, the jacuzzi is great (as long as you respect the schedules so as not to disturb the neighbors). In short, if you want to book it, don't miss out, you'll be sure to get it right.

We had a lovely stay in Somo. The apartment was very well equipped and the terrace was very nice. The proximity to the beach and the quietness of the neighborhood were very nice. Finally, the hosts who live in the main house were very kind and friendly without being too invasive. A big thank you to everyone for your welcome. If we come back to Somo we will rent here again.

The house is very good, it is large, clean and beautiful, the pool is bigger than it looks in photos and has a pretty large garden, Marta is very nice we had to go out a little late and I understood it without problems. Fear of putting any sticks the house is a little hidden and to get there you may be lost on another path, but it is nothing that the habit of being for a few days can't fix.

Roberto responded very quickly to a very late request for accommodation. Is parents were very friendly and helpful and supported us very well in getting to the property and settling us in. We speak little Spanish but we’re easily able to manage with the patience of our hosts. Would definitely recommend English families to try this very Spanish home and the area.

One of the best apartments we've ever stayed in, everything was super clean, Begoña was very nice, she recommended things to do, everything was very clear. The house had all kinds of amenities, I think it's the only place we've been where we can go in and live a normal life without having to go to a supermarket to buy basic things. We'd be delighted to come back another time. PS: He left us 2 umbrellas ☂️ and a parasol in the apartment, ⛱️ which was a luxury, as well as some beach chairs.

Clean and peaceful house with a serene sea view, highly recommended

The place is wonderful. The landscape is constantly changing, the tranquility and serenity is permanent. The setting is fantastic: The Rio Miera descending with lots of water, the impressive nearby mountain passes and the mountain cocido waiting to complete the day. The house, it is a well arranged and very nice cabin, with slight inconveniences and very justito utensils; but good heating. Although Revilla says that in Cantabria it does not rain, it rained 12 of the 15 days we were, but we loved it. A landscape like that has to be watered frequently and enjoyed. Angela is charming and always willing to attend you. It's been a great stay.

Perfect stay, we were a family of 5 adults and 2 kids and there were still 2 single beds and one double free, so it's ideal for families or groups of friends. At the top it has a penthouse with all kinds of entertainment, impossible to get bored! The area is beautiful, in a very quiet village with a relaxed atmosphere, beach and port nearby and Bilbao about 15 minutes away. To emphasize Javier's welcome and hospitality, he prepared us a dinner/breakfast worthy of a good bilbaino (how rich the tortillas were), but better you go and discover it... We will come back because we loved it, 100% Recommended. Thank you Javier :)

Before high season Bakio was a delight! Awesome surf, great walks, and lovely Basque hospitality.

The accommodation matched the description perfectly. Easy access and you feel at home. The neighbors of the building where it is are very kind. It's a shame that due to the weather we couldn't use the pool, which had a very good track.

The apartment is fantastic. It is spacious with plenty of storage and amenities. It had a working washing machine with facilities to dry on the balcony - this was useful as we had been travelling beforehand. There is a swimming pool which we didn’t use, however, it looked clean and very inviting! The area is perfect. A lovely coastal walk nearby and a place to generally chill overlooking the sea. The host gave very clear photos and instructions of how to check in etc. The only slight negative would be the check in time, which was 5pm. I feel this is quite late in terms of other properties. We were able to check in around 4pm which helped.

Incredible place in pristine nature. Mertxe was a wonderful and warm host.

A magnificent place beautifully restored. Lovely grounds with an outdoor kitchen area under cover and the pool an added bonus. The views were just fabulous. Elena responded quickly to every message. Hopefully we will return for longer next time .
