“It is a pretty house in a quiet corner of a small village, where the welcome is warm and attentive. The owners are accessible, and very pleasant.”
Beautiful farm in a small town by the forest. Calm and idyllic and still only 15 min away from Haguenau and 40 min from Strasburg. Closed courtyard, orchard and yard. The bikeway from the Rhine to the castles of the northern Vosges passes right in front of the house. Even the pilgrim road to Santiago de Compostella (2400 km) passes right by here. This is an ideal starting point for many lovely biking tours.
“Our stay was perfect! We were looking for calm and outdoor spaces, we were completely satisfied! The small farm is in a very quiet village, discreet neighbors, no car passage, and very large green spaces. We loved being able to land in the grass under the trees and enjoy the good weather. The children (7, 11 and 13 years) were able to play freely and safely, frenzied games of hide and seek and balloon! The house is cute, clean and nicely decorated. A special bravo to the kindness and attention of Ursula, very attentive, we feel that she has at heart that everything goes well for its guests. Thanks again for everything !”
Old-fashioned charm, comfortable and warm holiday home, capacity 6 people, in a typical village in northern Alsace, near the Vosges du Nord regional park 3 rooms. 5 rooms, 1 bathroom. Large courtyard and large garden with trees. Private parking. WIFI access. Weekly rental preferably during school holidays 3 days minimum outside school holidays. Typical characteristic of Alsatian houses: ceiling height of 2 m.
“Bernadette, her daughter Josiane and their family are wonderful host. They communicate very precisely and quickly, check-in and -out were very comfortable. The house is a very charming former farm house with a huge backyard and enough space around the house to park a big car and to play. In the back of the house one can find a nice terrasse on the way to the guarden. The kitchen is newly equiped, with a huge fridge and deep freezer. A washing machine is in a little room behind the kitchen. The dining room as well as the living room are spacious, both with tables and enough chairs for 6 or more people to sit, eat, play games etc. The bathroom has a shower and a tub and is spacious as well. In the first floor one can find three sleeping rooms and an extra bed in the hallway so that everybody finds enough space to sleep. The ceelings and door ways are a little low, typical for old farm houses, which adds to the charming atmosphere. The house is located next to a church where the bells ring regularly. Nevertheless one gets used to that very quickly so that you forget about them after the first day. Just around the corner is a bakery with wonderful offers and very nice people, just as all the other people in the Alsace we met. The area of Gunstett offers lots of activities and all necessities for daily living: food stores with a huge variety of cheese, wine, groceries etc. The border to Germany is 20min by car with great hiking paths, mountain lakes for swimming and good bicycle paths everywhere, starting in Gunstett. We enjoyed our stay with Bernadette and her family as well as in the Alsace very much, highly recommended.”
