Cottage holiday rentals in Bendigo

One of the greatest experiences I had staying somewhere. The guests were very hospitable and generous. The fresh and smoked trout was delicious.

We had a great time at the Barn! The accommodation itself was beautiful and well set up with all the bits and pieces you need. The beds were warm and comfy, and the heaters in the bedrooms were great for when our group weren’t around the open fireplace in the living area. We made good use of the wood fire pizza oven and games room onsite, and our 3 year old loved going “up in the tree house”. Andy was responsive and friendly, and Sally onsite was extremely helpful. Unfortunately on this occasion we didn’t get to hang out in the sauna, but I’m sure we will when we return! Thanks again for a great stay.

If you need some open space, this is the place! The boys wondered around , lots to explore. Surroundings are full of good restaurants and places to see. Very peaceful experience.

This place is the perfect spot to stay when in Daylesford! Surrounded by beautiful scenery, with an added bonus of a relaxing hot tub. Driving distance from town and to other key areas of Daylesford was so easy and close by. Di and Duncan provided us with everything we needed in this accomodation and are super responsive hosts. Would highly recommend!

A beautiful country home with everything we needed for a couples holiday. We loved staying in such a cosy space which Jenny has decorated with love. Jenny was very communicative and responsive when we needed her. We had a wonderful time and would love to come back if we ever get the chance.

This was my second stay here in one of the stone spa cottages and it was just as beautiful as the last time I stayed! The views, birds, sheep, lambs, horses, chickens and the beautiful dogs made our stay even better. Jan and Rob are wonderful hosts and I am thankful for you both sharing your space with us, your hospitality is incredible and very inviting. Thank you for having us stay! We will return again and again!

Fabulous spot to stay. Very comfortable and the hosts were thoughtful to have the place cool prior to check in for us on what was a very very hot day.

Beautiful and quaint -just like the photos. The bathroom was great. Plenty of hot water and a decent shower nozzle. The place had everything we needed including a fireplace and split system heater. Lizzie was responsive and the place is easy to find-just a 5 min drive from Castlemaine. There are properties around you so this is not rural acreage but there is a small area out the front to sit and watch the world go by. Would definitely stay again

Neal was a great host from check in to check out! All the thoughtful extras were appreciated. The cottage felt very welcoming and homely on arrival and throughout our stay. A beautiful base to travel within the Central Goldfields region. Neal's knowledge of the area and recommendations were appreciated as we were able to visit some of these places which we enjoyed.

We had a great stay at Daylesford Country Retreats. The accommodation was just as described and as per the photos. The beautiful scenery around the property made our stay so peaceful. We will definitely be coming back again. Thank you for having us!

What a beautiful place to stay for a few nights. Close to Daylseford and Kyneton which are lovely to visit, all while staying somewhere very peaceful and quiet. We loved it here, there are kangaroos everywhere. The house is very well fitted out, warm with a lot of room. We loved the pizza that Stephanie made us. Our dog really enjoyed the walks - one thing for all dog owners to note is the very safe and secure yard around the house. Our dog was able to wander around without us having to worry about her getting out of the yard! We will definately be back.

My dogs and I loved our overnight stay at Piccolo! Emma’s place was super clean, very cosy and welcoming. I will be back for sure when I need a break in this beautiful part of Victoria 😊🐶🐶

This is our second stay at Andy and Pauls place. It was just as awesome as our first stay. The place is clean, warm, comfortable and well thought out. We felt right at home within the beautiful surroundings of Daylesford.

Third time staying at Peter’s beautiful cottage and the charm doesn’t stop there! We will be booking to come back next year. Beautifully appointed in a fab central location and with generous, informative and charming host. What’s not to like? See you in 2026!

We loved our getaway to Hepburn Springs! The house was cozy, we loved the wood fire, and the amenities were clean and nice! Everything was explained well and we had no issues with anything on our stay!

Beautiful home to stay in- most serendipitous that we found this available only a week before long weekend! Was blessed and clearly it was meant to be- perfect place to stay!

Never have we stayed in such a well presented property. The table was laid. Soft music playing. All the glass ware, cutlery and Crockery were attractive, matching sets, not just leftovers. The whole place was immaculate. Thank you Andrew. Pete & Edith from Torquay and Imelda from San Diego. An absolute credit to the owners.

We had such a special and relaxing time at this beautiful accommodation. It was cosy with the wood fire, close to town. We are looking forward to coming back again!

Lovely old cottage, quiet and private. Very comfortable bed, in fact there was a choice of different bedrooms. Nice gas log fire in the lounge kept the room toasty warm (and it was very cold outside). Column heaters in each bedroom which are easily moved around to where-ever they're needed. Also a reverse-cycle air conditioner in lounge. Breakfast provisions consisted of eggs, milk, butter, cereals, bread, vegemite and a Nespresso coffee pod machine. Lots of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, but as in just about every short-term rental, needs a good, sharp cooks knife. Full size fridge, along with a dishwasher and induction stove, kettle and toaster. A great place to stay for a few days to look around Kyneton and surrounds.

We had the most wonderful stay! So peaceful and serene. The cottage is absolutely perfect with all the amenities you need for your stay. Beautiful surroundings will so much to explore right at your doorstep. Thank you for the thoughtful added touches. We enjoyed the complimentary wine, fresh milk, quail eggs and fresh herbs. We will be sure to return!

We enjoyed a cold weekend at Kate’s place and loved every minute. The cottage is cosy and warm, she even had the heater on ready for us when we arrived. Very comfy and warm bed too! The scenery is lovely and the location is private. We would recommend Kate’s place for sure, thanks for having us! :)

Our family of six absolutely adored our stay at the Cottage. From the moment we arrived, Ann made us feel incredibly welcome, truly making it a home away from home. Despite the wet weather, the cottage was wonderfully warm and cozy, thanks to both the efficient air conditioners and the charming chimney – perfect for relaxing evenings. The house itself was impeccably clean and felt fully equipped with everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. We honestly loved every single thing about our visit and can't wait to come back again soon!
