“I wish I never had to leave! Denise’s place is so peaceful and welcoming. Being under the stars in the spa, looking up at the Milky Way was the most relaxing thing ever. The fresh eggs and milk made the most delicious scrambled eggs I’ve ever had! Denise is so kind and welcoming and happy to show you around the property and interact with the animals. The best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in - can’t wait to go back. Thanks again Denise”
Warm, cosy and comfortable Kallarroo Cottage - done up in rustic style - provides guests with the opportunity to experience a stay in a genuine log cabin. High wooden ceilings and and open fire place set the mood for relaxing country escape. Cottage is roughly half way between the beaches of the NSW far south coast, and the skiing and fishing spots of the Snowy Mountains.
“This place surpassed our expectations (which were already quite high) - it was such a pleasure staying at Kallarroo. Wine in front of the fireplace, hiking the lovely property under the winter sun (with our two big dogs, who were made to feel so welcome), toasting marshmallows on the bonfire and feeding the adorable horses. The property is teeming with cute animals - horses, cows, alpacas, guinea fowl, chickens, wallabies. It was incredibly peaceful. The sky at night was insane, when we turned the lights off and stepped outside we could see the Milky Way hovering above the cottage! Beata was the consummate host, giving us complete privacy and space (even though she lives very close by in the neighbouring house), and also helping out when needed (thank you so much for starting those cosy fires for us, Beata). There is no internet or phone reception so it is a true disconnect/break from technology style of retreat, which we loved. Top tip to future guests: the terrain getting to the cottage is rough, so you'll need a four wheel drive to get there. And if you're hoping to see snow, it's a 1.5 hour drive to the alpine peaks (Thredbo etc.) and don't take the dogs with you (dogs aren't allowed into the national park zone). Take lots of food and wine and settle in for a truly relaxing rural holiday.”
Delightful 3 bedroom 1890 cottage in Bega. Tastefully renovated with all modern facilities, excellent kitchen, large fenced garden and walking distance to cafes, shops and town centre. Comfortably sleeps 5, but can sleep 6. Wood burning stove for the cooler months. Pet friendly (extra charge of $15 per night per pet).
“Annie’s house is fantastic, a beautifully restored quirky space with an excellent modern kitchen, wonderfully warm log fire and a garden that any child would find magic in. Minutes from shops and Bega high street but feels like the middle nowhere at the same time.”
