Cottage holiday rentals in Bedford

We booked three barns and the hut for 7 people. It was a work event for two nights and we were able to work outside, enjoy the bbq and enjoy cooking and playing games together. One of the best work trips we had. Thank you.

We'd just sold our house of 22 years and needed somewhere to stay for a few days and I was in such muddle I'd not even looked in any detail at where we were staying so arriving at Bethnal and Becs was a lovely surprise. Everything was luxury and quality. Chris and Vicky put a lot of energy and love into making the stay there relaxing. We loved the amazing double shower and the outside bath. Great walk to the Jolly Waggoners pub nearby. We hope to have an excuse to come back.

Wow! Our group of 9 ladies have had the most amazing weekend at this lovely property. We loved the warm welcome from the hosts & very much appreciated the goodies left out for us & helpful instructions. We were lucky to have beautiful sunshine, enabling us to make the most of the wonderful garden. We enjoyed the hot tub, sauna and making s’mores in the hobbit hut, as well as yoga on the lawn & watercolour painting under the apple tree - a truly blissful girls’ weekend! The bunnies & Welly the pig were gorgeous! The house was clean & there was plenty of room for the 9 of us, we barely used the lounge and dining room! We also hired the games barn & it was like having our own little pub & a great evening’s entertainment. We would have loved to have stayed longer & tried out the pizza oven. We enjoyed a long walk including the spooky railway tunnel & a great meal over the road at the pub. We couldn’t have asked for more and would love to return! Thank you Hannah & Noel :)

Lovely house and location, was ideal for all ages in the party. Amenities were very good and enjoyed using the hot tub. Slight problem finding the house when following the satnav but was able to contact the host quickly who gave perfect directions. would recommend to anyone wanting to visit the area.

We had a lovely stay the home was very clean. The location was beautiful and so peaceful, was a relaxing stay in the fields The views were stunning We were recommended lovely walks by the host who also came round quickly when we couldn’t get the hot tub working The photos need to be updated as a few things have changed from when the photos were taken It said there would be basics such as salt pepper & oil but none of this was at the home The hot tub had a lot of bugs in! We got as many out as we could but there were so many once the jets were on One of the mattress’ was very loud and not very comfortable Would deffo stay again as the home was beautiful and location was out of the way and secluded

We really enjoyed our break. The cottage was bigger than expected and looks out on to a large field/meadow. The surroundings are very peaceful. Very eclectic and fun decor. The host was communicative and helpful. We had a lovely girls weekend!

Travelled for work, great place to stay, very stylish and clean. Great country views and lots of open space. Chris and Vicky were very friendly and made us feel very welcome.

Leaine and Connie were brilliant hosts. Very helpful. This cottage was 1 of 3 we took for the weekend and they were ideal for all our needs. Many thanks.

I enjoyed being hosted by Ian and Jenny. They gave me such a warm welcome, including very nice, useful, welcome gifts. The cottage was spotless throughout: fantastic! They were friendly and inclusive yet also left me to my own devices so that my privacy was respected. I am fortunate to have met Ian and Jenny as I feel that I now have a place to which I can always return. I did find the doorways quite low and would have liked to have been forewarned in the property description. However, apart from one mishap on the final day – because I was feeling sad to leave ☹ – I was able to navigate the space very well. I would still give at least 15/10 for a fabulous stay. Thank you, Jenny & Ian. What lovely people you are! What a lovely setting!

We have been using Airbnb for many years and this is definitely the best experience of being hosted we have had for YEARS. Carter's Yard embodies the spirit of what staying in a b&b in England really means - with the privacy of enjoying the property to yourselves. We felt hosted! Butter and milk in the kitchen. Plenty of cleaning items and dishwasher tablets. A welcome basket of breakfast items. Beautiful linen on the extremely comfortable beds. A lovely lounge with supplies for the log burner. Flannels and plenty of towels in the bathroom... Everything was so intentional and thought through. We would love to stay here again, it is so peaceful, so clean and so very welcoming. 11/10 for the cottage and 12/10 to Rebecca and her immaculate hostess vibes. Worth every - extremely reasonable - penny!!

I had a wonderful stay at this cozy cottage in Broom, UK. The place is beautifully maintained, blending modern amenities with rustic charm. The living area is inviting, the kitchen well-equipped, and the bedrooms comfortable. The location is perfect for a relaxing getaway, with plenty of walking trails. Overall, I highly recommend this cottage for a memorable stay in Broom.

Myself, my wife and our youngest son wanted a place to relax and find something that could be a home away from home. We live in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. On the border of Niagara Falls, New York, USA. We wanted to spend Christmas with my eldest son, his wife and their 2 very young children - 2 and 5 months. they live in Biddenham, Bedfordshire, just a 5 minutes drive away. We also have family, my brother in particular and his wife and older children. When we arrived Ali had set the place up and gifted us with a beautiful welcome package that would enable us the ability not to have to rush out to the shops to stock up on the basics. What we experienced was a wonderful rural retreat, a cozy cottage Annexed onto a plush setting of a country house, paddocks and stables, with horses. what could there possibly not to love! As a local boy, from nearby Stony Stratford this truly was wonderful to be close to all of our family. Christmas was a dream here, thank you so much Ali and Jon.

Really enjoyed our stay in the Dovecote. Harrold is a lovely village with a variety of local beauty spots to explore.

We have stayed in many airbnbs over the years and this one has to be one of the very best. The accommodation was extremely well thought out- the beautiful wooden furniture even had rounded corners and this was especially noticed on the main bed frame; a small example of thoughtful design. The umbrellas provided in a metal pot by the door is another example but there were many others. The quality of the bed linen, the tray of chocolate treats, coffee and tea with decaf options too were appreciated.
