Wonderful property that is secluded but also has lots of space. The fire pit and hot tub were great for spending time outside, and it's super close to the national park.

The chalet was beautiful, clean, and peaceful. The hot tub was amazing and we had everything we needed. Great place to relax or enjoy nearby activities. 100% recommend! Was not overly price and well worth what we payed for a relaxing weekend which was exactly what we was looking for. Michael was simple, kind, and gave directions that was easy to find the location of our destination. We will be back again. Thank you so much for a nice affordable well worth getaway!

This was a great stay that was right next to Hawks Nest State Park and within 10 minutes or so of the northern part of New River Gorge National Park. We prefer to cook our own food when we travel and this place had a nice little kitchen and charcoal grill. I would maybe suggest adding either an extra table inside or a picnic table outdoors just to have a bit more surface space for food prep but otherwise no complaints. The hot tub was very relaxing after lots of hiking. Hoping to return to the area and stay here again next year.

Joshua and Joan were great hosts. The cabin is located in a very quiet, peaceful, subdivision with a few other cabins around. It’s a great space and made for a very relaxing getaway!

My fiance and I were able to book the cabin for a last minute weekend getaway. The house was very clean, cute and perfect for what we needed. Our dog enjoyed the big fenced in yard, and we enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. We had everything we needed to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner (bring your own seasonings though), and got restful sleep! We were beyond grateful to enjoy this home for the weekend! The biggest complaints on the reviews are the wifi and the driveway... we didn't have any issues with either personally.. but if you're afraid to get your car dirty or need to work the whole trip, maybe pick something closer to town.. otherwise its perfect to unplug and unwind!

Kevin’s place was perfect for a weekend get away at the New River Gorge. His house is in perfect proximity to both Summerville lake and the national park. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

We loved this place! It was close to everything but really felt secluded, so peaceful and quiet and with the lovely sound of the creek outside! Loved soaking in the hot tub watching the fireflies everywhere! The cabin was so clean, the bed very comfortable, and they thought of everything- extra toothbrushes, toiletries, teas and snacks...anything you miht need. Host very responsive too! We would definitely stay here again.

very nice place only thing was to jets popped out of the hot tub when I turned it on so thy were previously, broken and repaired and popped off when I turned the jets on now, I got charged a $150 to repair them. So hopefully this time they get fixed right? So the next person doesn't get charged at another $150 for being only fixed half. other than that, the place was beautiful, had a great time.

It’s a perfect place for a vacation of hiking and rafting. We used it as a respite on the halfway point heading home from a southern vacation. It was comfortable, super clean and a supremely well equipped kitchen. There’s a nice neighborhood bar and grill a stones throw away.

We drove in from Texas to visit with family from the Sissonville/Nitro area! We enjoyed just sitting on the porch & catching up. We did take a day to sight see at Hawks Nest & Bridge! The cabin had everything we needed for our little family get together! And the lighting bugs at night was something neat! Thanks for an awesome stay!!!

Just book it!! Y’all, this place is amazing. The photos don’t even do it justice, it’s just too pretty to describe! Not a single detail is missed, and the views are incredible. This cabin just feels like home. Alison has so tastefully decorated it, and it feels like a luxury space with cozy elements in every corner. It’s SO clean—smells so fresh, everything is pristine. The covered porch is obviously incredible, but we also adored the fire pit area for the views and seclusion on top of the mountain. Yes, the driveway is tough, but it’s 100000% worth it once you’re up there. Like the host states, as long as you have 4WD, you’ll glide right up (just take it slow)! We had no trouble in a pickup with 4WD. I promise, it’s not nearly as steep as it first seems once you actually drive it, and it is sooooo unique and incredible up top!! I would live here in a heartbeat. Trust me, just choose this place! Alison was a wonderful host as well, and so helpful and friendly :)

What a comfortable three bedroom home with spotless bathrooms and well equipped kitchen. The WiFi was very adequate for streaming and our dog loved his own bed and fenced in yard. The best part is the quiet neighborhood close to a city park that connects to many of the trails within the national park. This is a great central location to explore the area. We had a great time!

This was our 4th year staying at the cabin, our first time was our wedding and honeymoon and it has been our anniversary celebration ever since. The cabin is beautiful, secluded and peaceful. The kitchen is outstanding and our hosts are great people. I would highly recommend this and have to all our friends

What can I say? This cabin was a warm welcoming delight, a modern gem! The amenities were top-notch. Everything was so clean and spotless, the floors were shiny and beautiful, mattresses were comfy, the bedding was clean and soft and didn’t smell like bleach as in most other places. This cabin is secluded and quiet, the nights under the stars were amazing. It was great to wind down after some sightseeing and hiking during the day and just plop down by the warm fireplace and relax. Got to meet Matt while he was working on another cabin and we chatted for a bit. Great host. Oh and thanks for the goodies basket. Definitely will stay here if we come this way again.

We loved this place and it felt like home. It had everything in the home that you would need during your stay. Our 2 mini poodles loved it as well. Emily is a Super Host and we would like to stay again sometime. Great country setting and great ice cream at Fat Eddie’s. Thanks again for letting us stay in your home!

What a lovely spot to spend a week! We turned off the ac and tv and instead enjoyed birdsong and board games. Great access to the lake - swimming, kayaking, and climbing. Couldn’t have asked for more!

This place was waaay better than expected! It was so adorable and quiet, very very clean and toddler friendly for the most part. There’s a beautiful creek in the back. Lots of nearby activities for a nature lover. The bbq in the back was new and perfect for cooking on. I would definitely rent this place again.

Great location for exploring New River Gorge National Park. Loved the covered porch in the evening as we had lots of rain when we visited!

Been coming to this area for past 15 years to ride the trails. This cabin is in a great location for that. Future guests I would recommend coming up Barkers Ridge-Sand Gap road off hwy 16. If coming from Princeton GPS wants to send you up single lane road that is not best for hauling trailers.

I've stayed at a lot of air BNBs and this was one of my favorite! Incredibly spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well stocked and it was great to have a private outside area. Seemed like a friendly and safe small town and was pretty quiet even during the weekend. We had a very relaxing stay and wish we could have stayed longer!

Truly a "cozy cabin" in an amazing location, near great hikes and white water rafting. Only wish we could have stayed longer.
