Mount Happy, indeed! Ankit’s place is in a really peaceful part of Hallan valley. The house has unobstructed views of the mountains! You can just laze around in the garden watching the mountains throughout the day. The house is also bathed in sunlight through the day. The house is equipped with technology, right from bed warmers to heaters to geysers to a fully equipped kitchen. The house has a library which is pretty well stocked. The house also has a small garden which results in the freshest of veggies for your salads. Ankit is a very hospitable host and went out of his way to ensure our comfort on multiple occasions. He was kind enough to even bake me some bread for my further travels. Sunita di (the caretaker) is a gem of a person and is always around to help. Definitely give her aloo parathas a try. A special mention to Bella and Brownie (the resident dogs) who are too damn friendly! So glad I came across this listing, and this definitely won’t be my last visit to this place!

must visit this property. chetan ji is very good host .felt like home over here. highly recommend this property when you are in shimla . and the view is so beautiful from the property that can't be described on comment. had a lovely time with my friends

We booked the entire place for a corporate retreat and couldn't have been happier with our stay. Suman and the other didi are great hosts, cook great food and extremely polite. They definitely play the part of being professional hosts but still bring warmth. Location couldn't have been better - we spent the entire night star gazing watching shooting stars and satellites. The only thing worth mentioning is that not all rooms have a door for the bathroom - some just have a curtain. It didn't matter to us but please ase check and book accordingly.

we have stayed for 2 nights and it was avery pleasant stay surrounded by lush green trees and u can clearly see snow covered mountains from this stay Uncle is very responsive and friendly they have a Little kitchen garden outside and flower plants.property is beautiful and homely it has 3 rooms and kitchen and 2 washrooms this place is little away from dharmashala but it's worth staying there if you have your own vehicle

It was a wonderful stay, we stayed at the tree house which was a wonderful experience. It was a family vacation with our new family member our little kitten, the experience for her and us was great. The tree house, orchard and the lawn was our little one's favorite. Loved the wonderful home cooked food served, especially the Siddu and rajma. Ambrish is a very friendly host, you can ask him for local recommendation. Would recommend this place to people seeking peace and green surroundings yet drivable distance from Manali and Naggar.

We had a lovely stay in the orchards so much so that no one wanted to leave to go outside. The food was good, room was clean, everyone was very hospitable. Very relaxing and peaceful, wonderful surroundings!

Had a lovely stay at Bharat’s Airbnb! The place was super spacious and had all the basic kitchen essentials we needed. The view from the property was absolutely breathtaking, and the private garden and spacious balcony in The Willow Duplex were just the cherry on top. Big thanks to Pawan and the maids who were always quick to help and made our stay extra comfortable. Also, if you’re a foodie like us, don’t miss Sharma Bhojnalaya just 100 meters away, serves tasty and super affordable food. One small suggestion: there wasn’t really a place to hang washed clothes. If there was a clothes drying stand, it would’ve been super helpful. Would definitely recommend this place for a peaceful and comfortable stay!

it's a nice and clean place . caretaker is prompt and helpful. very close to Zoo you can even listen tiger roar . you can also watch snow clad mountains . parking is available with drivers room

we were very happy with our stay at Kanwar's place. From the time of booking till we checked out, we received responses and direction quickly and efficiently. The place itself was very clean and comfortable, with whatever we needed as guests available in the house, and as per the listing. Our experience was very good. The only added convenience, had it been available, and which could have enhanced our comfort significantly would have been the availability of a 3rd bathroom-toilet. The 6 guests in 3 bedrooms using the 2 toilets was a bit of a struggle, however we had booked the stay knowing this in advance. I would strongly recommend Kanwar's place to anyone planning an Amritsar visit.

During our family trip after spending two hectic days in Manali, Rohtang pass, mall road, Vasishth Tample, we wanted to spend some time in peaceful and naturally beautiful environment. During our search on Air BNB we have shortlisted Rangri Homestead. It was a very different experience... imaging host and food... garden is also very beautiful... Beas river sound can be heard.. suspension bridge at 15th Milestone is nereby... Due to time limitation we couldn't spent more time but will try to spend a week with family during our next trip.

one of the peaceful and awesome place to Stay

We recently stayed at “The Secret Cottage” and it truly lives up to its name. Tucked away in a peaceful and picturesque setting, this cozy retreat offered the perfect blend of charm, comfort, and privacy. The cottage was beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches throughout - it feels like a home away from home. The outdoor space is an orchid garden, ideal for enjoying a quiet morning coffee. Kitchen was also well stocked. Best thing about the stay was it’s common room, literally dive into the nostalgic 90’s with their awesome dvd, music cd & book collection. Our host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, providing helpful tips about the area and ensuring we had everything we needed.

Staying here was an absolute delight! The space is beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Every corner reflects a sense of warmth and care, making it feel like a home away from home. The location is perfect and peaceful yet close to your needs. The house is taken care and managed by Sandeep bhaiya, who is available for our groceries and little requirements, throughout. The place was upto and beyond expectations in certain aspects. We were 2 families with 9 members in total with a couple of cars and the place was perfect for us. A bit away from the crowd of Manali, we had the top 2 floors to ourselves with 5 bedrooms, a huge hall with dinning area and kitchen. I think you are offered individual rooms in case you are travelling in smaller groups. The place had balconies all around and was maintained very clean. The host was very responsive. Would recommend to anyone travelling in large groups. Add to your shortlist without hesitation.

Krishna's home, family and the village is a fine example of Himachal hill homes, people and culture. Loves their hospitality, friendly nature and the simple authentic home cooked food. Walking around the village you get a good sense of his they live in synch with nature, how over millennia adapted to the environment around them. The vernacular architectural homes(kathkuni) are all around the village for one to appreciate the simplicity and the majesty of these structures. Of course the snow clad mountains all around and the hiking opportunities. Lastly but not the least the friendliness of Krishna (she is an accomplished certified outdoorswoman too) is heartwarming. Learnt a lot from her about the culture, nature and the way of Himachali living. I am sure I will visiting many times in the future. (Btw loved going to pluck cherries in their farm with her mother)

Sundeep's place is just as described. Photos don't do justice to the place. Away from the crowd. At the periphery of the Naddi village. Right on motorable road. 3 rooms are connected. One has separate entry from outside. House helps - Joginder and his wife - outstanding people. Punctual and respectful. Accomodating. Invited us for a tea at their place. Went out of their way to show us the trail to view point in the nearby village of Kharota. Commander Sundeep is responsive and accommodating. The place can use a little upkeep (eg plumbing, blanket covers etc) to be more attractive, but there was nothing that affected our stay. We enjoyed our peaceful stay. I'd recommend to those who are looking for an easy going stay with walkable areas.

The place was as described. Interiors had interesting nooks and was quite comfortable. Approach to the place has a slight complication with the big car to small car switch, but enough advice and support was provided to overcome it. Neighbourhood’s alright, just make sure you are good to walk up inclines and flights of stairs if you are exploring it on foot (we had elderly folks with us, they struggled a fair bit). Of course, what made the place stand out was Kaushal and his Team of Kapil and Raju. Very accommodating and friendly, and quick to help resolve a query or requirement. Even the people they recommend to you (cab drivers and such) were extremely kind and helpful, which just goes to show that they do care about your experience beyond their villa. Overall a very satisfying stay, and would be happy to recommend Forktail to others.
