Blackhorse Cabin

Quant little cabin nestled high enough in the mountain to view Mt Alice from the front porch and still close enough to the town of Seward. There is a queen bed and a futon. The love seat reclines also. There is a fire pit you are free to use and some bikes hang from the deck of the main house feel free to use those. The house is located up the mountain but the road can be heard from the cabin. The queen bed and twin futon are located in the same room. One guest complained the area was to small.

Cabin is 10 feet by 12 feet, therefore not suitable for children.

First of all...We are a retired military couple with one of the longest running nightly rentals in this area! We try very hard to make sure you have a great stay, and we feel our 4.9+ Star rating shows that! Now for the Bristol Bay Cabin….. This 1 bedroom, 1 bath cabin is perfect for a couple! There is a fully furnished kitchen, a full bath, queen bed with closet in the bedroom and leather couch with USB ports , wifi TV, and wifi provided.

We are located on a forested acre. Our yurts are modern with most amenities included. We are located 8 minutes driving time north of Seward, and within walking distance, 8-10 minute walk to the lake or the Bear Lake trailhead, or the Salmon Weir, this is where the salmon come up the creek to spawn in Bear Lake. The Salmon are visible from May thru July.

We checked in late because of our red eye flight, Deanna was accommodating and helped with outside hours requests as well. We only wish that we could not enjoy the room as much as we wanted to because of our schedule for Seward. Highly recommend this listing for anyone looking for a clean, quiet and comfortable stay.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home just minutes from Seward. The location is peaceful yet super convenient for exploring the town and nearby attractions. One of the unique highlights was the weir just down the road, where we got to watch fish make their way upstream—such a cool and authentic Alaskan experience! The house itself is cozy, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed. Our Superhost went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. If you’re visiting Seward, definitely take a cruise—it’s an incredible way to see glaciers, whales, sea lions, and the stunning coastline. This home is the perfect base for it all. Highly recommended!

The home was just as pictured. Very clean and had everything we needed and more! There were little extra touches that made our stay comfortable, including provided coffee pods and creamers. Beds were comfortable and the hosts were helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay there again!
