Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Barwite

It was such a perfect little spot, nestled into the bush with lots of space to roam… but close enough to Bright to gather the essentials. And right on the doorstep of Mount Buffalo National Park!

Great location and great fireplace and pit, close to Beechworth, an interesting bathroom design a little chilly bit i admired the architecture and if you like minimalist space this is great ], great host help us oldies with the oven an accommodating on the firewood, true representation in the pictures, a beautiful weekend

Villacostalotta was just what we all needed for a wonderfully relaxing weekend away with a couple of girlfriends. The house was absolutely gorgeous, exactly as the listing described. Shona left a basket of goodies which we demolished with glee! She’s a very thoughtful host. Beds and doonas were comfy, towels were beautifully fluffy, the rainshower shower head was fantastic and the log fire was divine on the cold nights when we each snuggled in the blankets provided on the couch. Thoroughly recommend Villacostalotta if you need somewhere to stay in the area. (The local White Hart pub makes a fantastic meal and the staff there are just lovely, too!)

Had a beautiful stay at The Glen. The autumn colours were stunning each window you looked out of. Cosy at night time, we enjoyed the open fire, as well as the outdoor fireplaces. Having the river in walking distance was a special treat. Perfect spot to relax, but to also use as a launchpad to the nearby areas of Rutherglen, Beechworth and Bright. Was a perfect escape.

This place is a hidden gem. It’s great for a retreat from the hustling and bustling life, and transport you back into nature. It’s very secluded, but it is meant to be the way it is. A Stonehill retreat. If you are looking for something that is near town, this is not for you. But if you are looking for a tranquil, peaceful place, I would recommend it 200%! Jacqui was also extremely helpful in her travel directions, and took extra effort to provide us with some oil when we ran out. Thanks much!

Eric couldn’t have been more accommodating and helpful. Their starter kitchen breakfast was perfect and delicious. The house was spotlessly clean, and the bedding extremely comfortable. We’d flown over from Scotland, so comfort was important. I would highly recommend staying here.

We had a fabulous stay at Amanda's. The place is exactly like what is stated in the pictures. The house is spacious and surrounding was peaceful too. We had bbq one of the nights outdoors even though it was cold but it was fantastic. I totally recommend this place. We sure had a memorable time here.

This was the perfect getaway to relax and unwind. Sitting out in the garden enjoying a hot cup of tea on a frosty morning taking in the surrounds was absolutely tranquil. We caught the last of the Autumn leaves which really brought out the beauty of the maples and other trees around the place. The place is perfectly situated for a number of absolutely beautiful trail walks and lovely dining options. Thank you!

We had a really wonderful stay. Robyn very generously accommodated our change of plans, for which we were very grateful. The location is great and the view while watching the sunset was stunning. The house was perfect for our stay.

Absolutely loved my stay here. Such a beautiful space and right in the centre of town. Close to lots of places to eat and shops plus just a short drive to many of the local wineries. Will definitely stay here again!

Very comfortable base for our cycling trips on the Great Victorian Rail trail. Good location, very walkable distance to shopping strip (and eating places etc.). Bath came in handy for post-ride aches! Lots of TVs, though you need to download Netflix etc. onto your own devices. Fridge is a little loud (cycles on and off), though the place itself is very quiet with only soft bird-song. Lots of heating in house (we didn't use the split-system cooler, as the weather wasn't hot at all when we were there).

We spent the weekend at Stephanie’s place and it was wonderful! Everything was so well thought of, immaculate presentation and perfect location. Perfect winter getaway!!

We had a fantastic stay at Peak 202 over Easter for a family wedding—John was a wonderful host and the apartment was perfect. Just steps from the village and Chamois ski run, the location couldn’t be better. The views from the floor-to-ceiling windows were stunning, and the space was warm, welcoming, and well-equipped. Our family felt completely at home with three spacious bedrooms, a spa bath, drying room, full laundry, and a great kitchen with everything from a Nespresso machine to a dishwasher. The gas fireplace, Smart TVs, free WiFi, and heated balcony with BBQ made it extra cozy and convenient. Keyless entry and thoughtful extras like games and a secure parking space really stood out. Everything was spotless, stylish, and designed with comfort in mind. Thanks, John, for a memorable and seamless stay—we’ll definitely return to Peak 202!

Very cool and cosy space. Would definitely stay again. Walking into Beechworth very easy (downhill). Coming back either good exercise or cheap with Indigo taxi's. Outdoor space wasn't private as there are other people who could see you - but there was no one around so felt private :) Extra handy to not have to use our own Netflix account and remember how to sign in and out etc. It's a small thing but just made our evening more relaxing, so thank you!

The place was cozy and inviting, with a fantastic view that made morning coffee especially enjoyable. Overall, a great experience — I’d definitely book again.

an amazing place, very well furnished. A perfect holiday place, ideal for a big group. kids will love the place too. has a clean pool n a play area. Enough of indoor games n books :-) for a peaceful read, sitting with birds in the balcony overlooking the town, the cloud clad hills. would love to visit in spring /summer again. thank you, Phil.

Enjoyed our stay! The house was beautiful with amazing views. A short walk to the town which was beautiful as we got to take in the scenery. Will definitely be staying again!

We had the most wonderful stay. Everything was just perfect we had 8 people staying over the weekend and it still felt like so much space for everyone. The place its self is just out of town, and it's very peaceful but close enough to be in town in minutes or only a short ride away. The views from the house were stunning and the house its self had everything we needed for a fantastic weekend away. I could not recommend this place more, I think we will be back again for sure, Thanks for having us!

Beautiful location, easy to find, close to town but far enough out to be peaceful. So thoughtfully set up and absolutely more stunning than the pictures. Stayed with a group of friends and we had an absolute divine time. Enough space for everyone to hang out and plenty of everything we needed for a gorgeous weekend.
