Great views from upstairs, lovely private patio with garden/valley views. Free off-street parking. Upstairs, beamed living/bedroom with comfy bed, Smart TV& WiFi. Downstairs, well equipped kitchen-diner, shower room/toilet. 10-15min walk to Nailsworth centre with many eateries. Unfortunately unsuitable for those with mobility issues due to stairs/low pitched ceiling.

Attractive spacious room with super king bed, private shower room and dining area in listed Victorian former rectory overlooking the 17th century market building and square of Minchinhampton, a small Cotswold town. High ceilings and large shuttered windows give the accommodation a light and airy feel. The accommodation has recently been refurbished and furnished in period style but has fibre broadband and a large flat screen television. Private courtyard parking and garden with sitting area.

The accommodation boasts wonderful views of Horsley valley and the beautiful gardens and lakes of Ruskin Mill. The gardens are free to visit, and the mill hosts a delightful cafe. Just a ten minute stroll away is Nailsworth town centre, home to many wonderful boutiques, inspiring galleries, and some of the finest restaurants the Cotswolds has to offer.

If you feel more active you could wander around the independent local shops and cafes or take a trip into Stroud and visit the award winning Farmer’s Market. Cosy Cottage is a lovely place to stay but backs onto a small town car park. It won’t be very quiet. *The Cottage is suited more to 2 adults and 2 children due to the size IT IS SMALL.

Modern Hayloft in Cotswolds

The hayloft is very old but we have converted it into a 2 bed suite (one double bed & one big round bed on the mezzanine) with a 'shed bathroom' and a large lounge. It is on top of part of our own house (above the kitchen) but has a separate private entrance and a door onto the garden. There is no kitchen facility - think hotel rooms rather than self catering! It is right in the heart of the village a couple of hundred metres from good restaurants, ancient pubs and independent shops.

In the centre of beautiful Minchinhampton, this detached cosy cottage is open plan in design and tastefully renovated throughout with plenty of modern conveniences. Set in our quiet pretty garden, and with on-site parking + Type 2 EV charger, a perfect getaway. Avening Cottage is charming 18th Century Cotswold stone property situated in Nailsworth, a bustling market town near Stroud with great cafes, bars and restaurants. This cottage has been renovated to a high standard and offers all mod cons alongside traditional features. It has its own entrance and there are no shared facilities. The local countryside is beautiful and there are great walks and glorious open spaces and views, accessible both on foot and within a short drive.
