Beachfront holiday rentals in Barnes Bay

We really enjoyed Lisa & Kieran’s home in Adventure Bay. It has a great beachside location with a beautiful view across Adventure Bay to Fluted Cape. It’s a well-appointed and very spacious home. The sunrises from the front of the house are magnificent.

Louise's Opossum Bay house is the perfect cozy and quiet spot. I take my dogs on beach walks everyday. Everyone is friendly and Louise has been so accomodating and responsive. There's so much natural light and the house stays nice and warm during winter.

One of the best places I've stayed at - very special location. Only issue we had was a contankerous TV remote which froze and required the unit be reset continuously - otherwise a perfect property.

We enjoyed the house and area for an extended family trip. Lots of room and activities at the house. Kids loved the painting spot, and the short walk to fish off the jetty. Some nice foreshore walks, with a well formed track to Verona Sands. Thanks

Winkle Shack is a totally delight! Lovely home away from home in a beautiful location. Views across the bay, dolphins, seals and numerous birds all seen from comfort of balcony. Beach walks and sunrise at Pirates bay and great base to explore the outstanding Tasman peninsula. Would totally recommend staying here

Fabulous! Just like holidays when I was a kid - so nostalgic! Loved the 50s colours & decor & the thoughtful touches like hot choc & marshmallows, which were most appreciated after a long drive. Plenty of cookware and crockery, a lovely hot shower, comfy lounges and beds. Great range of DVDs to suit all tastes. and so many beautiful places to visit around the peninsular. Best of all - that beautiful beach through the back gate!! Really appreciate that you allow pets & have fully fenced yard. My little dogs had a fantastic time frolicking on the beach as did I. We definitely want to come back!

A lovely peaceful place to relax and unwind. We really appreciated the delicious platter of fruit, bread and cheese on arrival. Plus the Easter eggs on Sunday morning was a delightful surprise.

Can highly recommend! Honni is a fantastic host and the beach house really has everything you need. The view (both directions) is just incredible. It was clean, tidy and well presented. The weather was cold and raining at times but the fire was lovely and cosy. An amazing place to stay!

An incredible space ... the gentle lap of the water and soft breeze in the trees soothed our souls. The home was welcoming and comfortable and we enjoyed every minute including some very restful sleep. It was well-appointed and we wanted for nothing. Thank for sharing this beautiful place with us.

Absolutely stunning place and location! Nel and Lorne were amazing hosts and nothing was too much trouble. They had thought of all the little things to make us feel welcome and it truly felt like we were staying with friends…like a home away from home. We arrived to the smell of fresh bread baking, and found a loaf baking in the bread oven. Nel had even left us a jar of her homemade raspberry jam, which was to die for! We fell asleep every night to the sound of the waves which was absolutely magical and so peaceful. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer! Would 100% recommend and would love to come back sometime!

We’re really enjoy staying at Thierry’s place and Peter really nice and helpful with checking in, quick responses with all questions which make our stay smooth and convenient. The place very beautiful, super clean and has everything we need in his kitchen. I’d recommend to stay here and will book here again next time if we’ll be back to Tasmania again next time.

What an amazing place to stay! Photos didn’t do the space justice- absolutely beautiful. Extremely clean and tidy, presented beautifully. Had everything you need for a weekend or even longer. Loved the fact there was a washing machine. Easy walking distance to Hope Beach with some great spots for photography including astrophotography and the allusive Aurora Australis. Easy drive to Hobart and other local attractions while enjoying a more secluded location. Supermarket and other amenities also within easy driving distance. Marco was very responsive with messages, very helpful with any issues and an overall great host. Will definitely return when able. Highly recommend

Tucked away in a serene, leafy setting, it felt like our own private hideaway—yet it was ideally located for exploring both Hobart and the breathtaking wilderness of Bruny Island. The cottage itself was beautifully appointed and cozy, with a fireplace that made every evening feel like a warm hug after a day of exploring. We loved waking up to birdsong and water views, and it was just a short drive to local wineries, walking trails, and the Kettering ferry. If you’re looking for a place that balances comfort, nature, and convenience, this is it. We’ll definitely be back.

Lovely Beachfront Stay with Relaxing Vibes We loved our stay at Burcu’s place! The beach-facing views from both the balcony and kitchen were absolutely stunning, and the selection of self-care books added a thoughtful, cozy touch to the experience. The only minor issue was the limited hot water capacity when hosting more guests, but everything else was perfect. The host was very responsive and helpful throughout. Overall, a fantastic spot for a relaxing leisure getaway!

We check in time was a bit late, but we found the place easily. There were many oyster shell decorations, showing how much the owner cares about the place. The room was very clean and comfortable, and we had a pleasant night. In the morning, when I opened the curtains, I saw the beautiful view outside!! Unfortunately, we had to leave quickly due to our schedule. It's a great place, and I would definitely come back.

What an incredible oasis! 10 best friends enjoyed a magical birthday weekend at Saltcotes. Incredible location and views, extremely well stocked house and a home that felt like home. Morning swim followed by lunch with a view - it won’t disappoint. Cannot wait to return in the future.

Absolutely blown away by our stay, everything was perfection. Our host Nancy’s communication was great, and the detailed, helpful information provided before and during our stay made everything so seamless. The main house tour was such a delight, setting the tone for the incredible experience. As for the location, it's truly heaven on earth. I honestly believe I will never stay anywhere prettier! The house itself is styled to absolute perfection, with insane attention to detail in every corner. But without a doubt, it was that breathtaking main view and the stunning, color-coded bookcase that truly stole the show and captured my heart. Thank you for creating such an unforgettable and beautiful escape! We can't wait to return some day!

This listing is beautifully situated right in front of the river—it's peaceful listening to the waves crashing onto the shore. Yet, it's conveniently located just 15 minutes from downtown Hobart. We especially loved the playground right next to the property, which our kids thoroughly enjoyed. The house is clean and equipped with all the necessary amenities. While items like a highchair need to be requested in advance, the team was very responsive and met our needs promptly. We’ll definitely be back next time!

Awesome location in a beautiful neighbourhood and you can see mount wellington out the kitchen window. We enjoyed the spacious rooms and comfortable furnishings. The space heaters in the bedrooms were great and worked well, but the dining room got pretty cold in the winter though. Would love to come back to experience this house in the summer.

Loved our stay at Orford. What a beautiful house, great for entertaining a big group of people. Perfect location, walking distance to plenty of beautiful beaches and to the pub! Jess & Gavin are great communicators, very prompt and helpful with responses. We will be back!

We were traveling as a family group of ten and this house accommodated us so well. The location is so beautiful and we loved exploring the local region and then coming home to wander the beach each evening. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The host was friendly, responsive and helpful

We LOVED this beautiful house. Right on the beach, with seals and dolphins playing out front. The kids loved jumping off the jetty. The house had everything you could possibly want, right down to martini glasses. The rooms were beautiful, the house warm and cosy, and the beds comfortable with gorgeous linen. We will stay again. Thank you for sharing this wonderful home.
