Holiday rentals with a pool in Barga

My wife and I stayed at Marco’s for a week for our honeymoon. We both loved it. Pool was beautiful and peaceful. The property is fantastic the pictures don’t do it justice. As amazing as it looks in the photos it is 1000 times better in person. The front gate made everything feel so secure. Walking up the steps to the guest house we were hit with a nice floral smell with all the daisies growing everywhere. Such a peaceful and beautiful property. The view was stunning looking over the mountains. The place was perfect. The kitchen was everything we needed and more, the pull out couch allowed us to relax and watch tv at the end of the night. The patios were perfect for coffees and meals. And the bed was nice and comfortable. Marco left a flower pedal heart on the bed for us which was a nice personal touch. We met his parents (who stay in the main house) they were very kind and gave us our privacy. There was lots of information about the area and things to do. Wish we stayed longer

We had an absolutely wonderful stay with Bryan and Sara! Reaching the accommodation requires a short hike, but you’re rewarded with stunning views – and the luggage is conveniently brought up by a small tractor. From the very beginning, everything was perfect. The house, garden, and pool are absolutely beautiful – a true little paradise. Everything was clean and lovingly maintained. Bryan and Sara are incredibly warm and welcoming hosts who do everything they can to make your stay special. Since we arrived late, Sara kindly offered to prepare a lovely dinner for us, and Bryan gave us a little pizza-making class – such a great experience! Their helpfulness and kindness, combined with the magical charm of the accommodation, made our stay truly unique and unforgettable. Thanks a lot :)

Very nice house which is very nicely renovated and spacious in all areas. To stand out is the large pool, which everyone enjoyed very much. The house is in principle very quietly located in the forested mountains. From the town in the valley to the house it is 12 minutes by car. Day trips to Lucca, Pisa, Florence and the sea are easily doable. A recommendation is also the Grotta del Vento. We had a week of great weather with temperatures from 33 to 38 degrees. This was borderline because the house does not have air conditioning. Ventilate everything in the morning, then close everything dark until the evening. Sleeping at night with open windows is mandatory. Which leads to the one point of criticism relevant to us, because the dogs in the neighborhood bark all night, which annoyed even the deep sleepers. Would we come back with two kids, yes probably, but not in August.

A very well-kept structure with attention to detail! In addition to complete cleaning. The directions were clear and the location is good for traveling by car between Liguria and Tuscany. Street parking in front of the entrance gate, quiet area with the charm of the river. The description of the structure is accurate, so the only thing I would point out is that it may not be very suitable for those who have problems climbing stairs, as it is arranged on three levels.

We had a great week with Giovanna and Antonio. They are both very nice, helpful and always available for questions. The house is exactly as in the pictures, very cozy and we felt comfortable right away. The shared garden is beautiful and the pool is great to cool off on a hot day. Lucca is about 10 minutes away by car and Pisa and Florence are also easy to reach. We 100% recommend the place. Thanks for the great time :-)

Everything was absolutely perfect! ⭐️ Location: Ideal base for exploring Tuscany — you’re right in the heart of it all. Whether you’re heading to Florence, Pisa, or the charming hill towns, everything is within easy reach. House: Well-equipped and comfortable, with all the listed amenities in perfect working order. After long days of sightseeing, the pool was a refreshing retreat. The panoramic view over the valley is truly breathtaking. Host: Lorenzo is an outstanding host — friendly, responsive, and fluent in English. He was proactive and helpful throughout our stay. The house includes a detailed guidebook he created with handpicked recommendations for local shops, markets, restaurants, farms, and sights. It made planning our days effortless. Bottom line: If this listing is available — don’t hesitate. Book it. 10/10 would recommend!

Amazing place! Nestled in the beautiful surroundings of the Lucca hills. Very peaceful. Lots of birdsong. We saw a deer in the garden! The grounds are brilliant and the place is the perfect size for a couple. We loved eating on the terrace with the great view, and swimming in the private pool. Only a short drive to Lucca which has some amazing restaurants (our favourite was Osteria de Pasquale). There’s some great vineyards in the area - our favourite was Fattoria Sardi. If I was reading this review I wouldn’t think twice about booking!

What a brilliant stay we had here. Hidden away into the Tuscan countryside, with views as far as the eye can see. We wouldn't hesitate to come back to this stunning property. Very attentive hosts, we were greeted at check in and given a tour of the property. The building is shared with the owners, but the apartment has full privacy, with it's own outdoor seating area. The bedroom is a very good size with air conditioning, and it also has a kitchen and bathroom full of character. The gem for us was the infinity pool - all to ourselves and with views of the Tuscan countryside that you see in magazines and didn't quite believe existed. Well they do here. The property is within 10-15 minutes drive of various beautiful towns and villages. We would recommend the town of Vinci and the vineyard tour of Colle Adimari. Florence is 40 minutes roughly, Pisa even less. What more would you want.

Our stay with Anna-Maria and her family was great! The whole family is warm and friendly – we felt welcome from the first minute. We also especially loved her sweet dog. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated, super clean and you have everything you need. Everything you need is there, and you feel right at home. The location is ideal – you are quickly in the next largest city, but also just as quickly in the mountains. The surroundings are fantastic and perfect for walks right behind the house. An absolute highlight was the hot tub – perfect to relax after a day in nature. In addition, Anna-Maria gave us a few nice tips for excursions in the area, which were very helpful. We can only warmly recommend staying with Anna-Maria and her family and will be happy to come back!

Great place to stay right on the beach. Just a few meters over the dune and you'll find a wonderful beach. There are beautiful stand bars right next door where you can enjoy your morning cappuccino. The apartment was lovingly furnished with many details. Somehow everything was there, whether for cooking or utensils for the beach. We had 4h traffic jam on arrival and could not reach the check-in in time. Nevertheless, Sharon was there for us at 11 pm. That was great.

We had a wonderful time with our dogs in the accommodation! Everything was very clean and well maintained, which immediately made us feel good. We were particularly enthusiastic about the excellently equipped kitchen - finally really sharp knives! Cooking was really fun. The pool was a real highlight: larger than in the photos and very well maintained. The location is quiet and idyllic – with a little luck, you can even spot deer. In the morning we liked to have breakfast on the terrace, in the evening we enjoyed the sunset and the panoramic view from the balcony. Deborah welcomed us very warmly and had great tips for the area. We'd love to come back – absolutely recommended!

We love our stay, it was the perfect place to relax in the middle of a hectic trip

Susies AirBnb was a lovely place to stay at, I loved the wooden furniture in the apartment, the kitchen is just big enough, has everything that you need and in general the apartment is tidy and spotless. The surrounding area is very scenic, a very quiet place perfect for relaxing by the pool. Susie and her husband were very nice hosts, very friendly and happy to help out when we needed something. They also gave us recommendations for the area. Lari is definitely worth a visit for a walk around, ice cream(!) and food. The people we met in Lari were the friendliest we met on our vacation in Italy and we felt very comfortable.

We spent two wonderful nights in a truly enchanting place. The accommodation was well-kept, clean and very welcoming, with beautiful wooden furniture and a very comfortable bed. There was everything we needed to feel good and relax. We loved the private pool, the animals on the property (adorable chickens and cats!) and the tranquility of the place. We immediately felt at ease, thanks to the kindness and helpfulness of the host and his family: they were there for anything and ready to help us. The location is convenient for reaching both Pietrasanta (about 15 minutes) and Forte dei Marmi (about ten minutes), but at the same time immersed in nature, perfect for unwinding. We absolutely recommend this place to couples, families, or anyone looking for relaxation and a little peace. We will definitely be back!

An absolutely stunning place! Despite all the glowing reviews, they can’t fully capture the experience of staying here. From the moment you arrive, it feels like stepping into a luxurious estate. The grounds and pool are breathtaking, offering a serene and relaxing escape. If you're looking for peace and tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of Lucca and Pisa, this is the perfect place to unwind. We really had a wonderful stay. The host welcomed us incredibly warmly and immediately recorded an entire plan for things to do and hidden gems. The kitchen is really WELL equipped. The only small drawback, the mattresses are unfortunately very saggy and you should ventilate a lot, as it is very humid in the lower room due to the shower. Still, this place is HIGHLY recommended !! It was great

It was a really nice and spacious apartment on the lower floor of the beautiful and very well-maintained house, and the garden with the pool was also lovely. Beautiful view. Good beds and nice crib and high chair. Clean and tidy and everything was to be found. The host couple lived above, but we hardly heard and saw them, so it was lovely private. It was hard to find, so we had to call. GPS couldn't find the street. It is 6 km from Bagni di Lucca, and in the lulle town, Lugliano, where the beautiful house is located, there is neither a grocery store nor a eatery. Very nice host. It takes about an hour to drive there from the airport in Pisa.

An excellent and peaceful place to stay. The view is absolutely stunning, pool was lovely, and there rooms are more than spacious. The kitchen had all the amenities you could ask for. Unless you are planning on staying only there, you do need a car. With a car, the shops were 10 mins drive away and the train station < 10 mins with free parking.

Nicoletta greeted us at check in and gave us a tour of the property. She was always responsive and timely. The listing quite frankly undersold the size, space, and beauty of the entire package. The house kept its historical charm while offering the modern amenities including large updated bathrooms, pool, gardens, lounging areas, and a full kitchen. Staying here was truly and escape to the country side where the private pool overlooked an amazing and secluded view of the area. This house is ideal for those seeking an authentic Italian villa. It was really an amazing experience.

The place is truly a rustic paradise! It’s placed in what seems like the crater of an old volcano, high up in the clouds at above 900m so you’re in something as peaceful as highest up on a mountain, but still protective ”walls” of stone all around! Lots of wildlife around (in our case we also got a bit of an ant invasion in one of the barhrooms) and the only thing to keep in mind is that the distance will be slightly longer than Google Maps will tell you since you likely don’t want to drive like a race car up and down the mountain side. Both kids and grown ups completely loved the place!

This is a wonderful setting: absolutely beautiful gardens full of roses (in May), stunning views, lots of sunny terraces and places to sit, and a lovely pool. The house itself is very well-equipped, and attractively furnished with antiques, and comfortable beds. The kitchen has everything you could need. There are great places in easy reach, including Certaldo (take the funicular up, and we recommend the Fonte Antica restaurant), San Gimignano with its towers and allegedly the best ice cream in the world, and Colle Val d'Elsa. There is good train access from Castelfiorentino station to Siena, Florence. Arianna our host was very welcoming and helpful, and lives nearby for any queries. If en suite bathrooms are your thing (we don't particularly care), you might find the arrangements of bedrooms and bathrooms a bit unusual; only the room with two single beds is truly en suite, and the bedrooms in the basement share a bathroom with no door between the two bedrooms. But not a problem for us
