Family-friendly holiday rentals in Barcelos

Apartment, very spacious and well-equipped it is located at the foot of the dune in a quiet environment nothing is missing thank you for this very nice collection of records! we gave ourselves great hours of listening! a downside: the pillows would need to be changed , really and a mattress pad on the mattress would be a plus for hygiene..I recommend this rental without hesitation.!

Beautiful accommodation, but the thing we will remember is the hospitality. We have never experienced such welcoming, friendly and helpful hosts before - they are incredible! Thanks so much for an amazing stay, especially at it was for our wedding weekend - it was very special.

A truly memorable stay. The landscape was breathtaking — wildflowers, birdsong, horses, and morning mist over the valley created a dreamlike atmosphere. The spa facilities and infinity pool, set against stunning views, were especially restorative. The cabin is compact but surrounded by natural beauty. We loved waking to the sounds of birds and nearby waterfall — simply idyllic. There was occasional noise from grounds maintenance, but it didn’t detract too much from the overall impression. The host was communicative and flexible with our arrival time. Thoughtful touches like the welcome wine and chocolate cake made us feel right at home. Everything was smooth and easy, and we found some fantastic local restaurants. The surrounding area is full of charm, with quiet walks, friendly people, and views we’ll never forget. We spent our days exploring and simply soaking it all in. This place made us fall in love with Portugal — we’re already looking forward to returning. Thank you!

My family and I stayed for nearly two weeks in Portugal, at 5 different AirBnBs. This was definitely the best. The property and views are beautiful, and the flat was very clean and well provisioned. But more than that, Daniel and the other co-hosts were very friendly and welcoming. I wholeheartedly recommend their place, especially for families looking to unwind a bit and who are interested in seeing aspects of Portugal outside of the more touristy, typical locations.

The villa is incredible, breathtaking from the moment you step in. The photos cannot do it justice. We only made two trips out (apart from food shopping) because we had no need or want to leave. The space is fantastic and every room is beautiful. If you are interested in sports it caters for everything there is an indoor games hall which has almost everything you could desire. This includes the tennis racquets for the court. The pool is wonderful and very relaxing - if you’re lucky you’ll get visits from the swallows as we did. As mentioned by the host and a few reviews you will need a car to get there and to get around but it’s a great way to explore the area when you do decide to go out. We ran around the area, did some hill sprint sessions and also some HIIT sessions within the villa ground. You can do everything. There are also lots of great beaches around the area some of which are suggested in Fernando’s welcome book and one of the ones we visited. Fernando and Pedro were great hosts very helpful and always at the end of the phone should we require anything. Relaxed, helpful and humorous. You are also provided with a welcome book which has lots of information about things you can do, where you can go and how to do them! 5* all the way. A perfect place for a getaway with friends and I imagine family too. I don’t doubt we will be back to visit in the future.

We had a pleasant stay with my family and friends in this beautiful house. The good weather, the large swimming pool, the cleanliness and shops nearby make this place available as well as the kindness of Mrs. Teresa Costa who welcomed us very warmly, very smiling and available for anything. Me and my partner stayed at the studio with our two dogs. We’ve always struggled to find places to go with our pets, but we finally found a little piece of heaven. The space is great for animals to run around and the pool is just fantastic. The breakfast was one of the best highlights of the stay as well. There are also a nice selection of restaurants within a 5-minute drive. But most importantly, Ana is just an amazing host. From day one, Ana was always ready to help and incredibly kind. One of our dogs had a gastrointestinal episode on the day we arrived and Ana was incredibly understanding and always left us feeling at home while helping us dealing with the situation. If you’re looking for a peaceful stay, Ana’s farm is beautiful and definitely one of the best places we’ve visited!

We had a great vacation at the place. The outdoor kitchen is enchanting and Rita is such a warm and dedicated hostess. The hobby room with pool table, sports games and Co. made our free time great. We can more than recommend this place, because Rita alone will do everything to ensure that you have a nice vacation. We will be happy to come back.

The Place is really nice! At first we were quite sceptical to be honest, but we were blown away. Antonio and his wife were super friendly and welcoming. The house has everything you could possibly need. It also stands on an acre of land and has different ammenities, sich as a pool table, ping pong table, soccer field and also a badminton set. We had a great week getting to know Minho and Gerês The house is in a great central location. We were two families and benefited from all the comfort, privacy, and amenities of the house. Hugo and his friendly family were of unsurpassed hospitality. Well done and even another chance.

We were very well received and greatly enjoyed our stay at the house. Maria Fatima was very helpful and accomodating during our entire stay and did her best to help us and make us feel right at home. The house is on the outskirts of a village in a very calm area, but close to many bigger and busier cities, and beaches. The garden, pool and bar areas are perfect to enjoy from morning to nighttime, and it feels like a small private resort. The small children loved running around to play with the cats and dog, watching the birds, going in the pool, playground, and just having fun in the large and very diverse garden. The host lives in a house adjacent to the rented house but is very discreet, and even though we enjoy privacy we didn't have any issues staying in the house with the hosts nearby. In fact she was so helpful and kind we felt it was a joy to have her close by. She brought us many gifts of food, desserts and cake, and helped us in many ways during the stay.

We had the perfect holiday, with everything we needed. The grounds are amazing and the house charming and homely. House and garden work really well for all ages. We would love to go back again. Thank you!

What a fabulous place!!! Casa do Monte exceeded all our expectations and provided a relaxing and luxurious base near Barcelos for our 3 families holiday. The host was so helpful, friendly and flexible with check in times. The house is magnificent with a huge garden for the kids to explore and the swimming pool provided plenty of entertainment and the opportunity to cool down on the hot days!! The kitchen has everything you could need during your stay and the veranda boasts a magnificent view to eat your meals in front of, watch the sunsets and see the fireworks from nearby festivals. We feel very lucky to have had our holiday here and would love to return one day!!

Thanks Marlene for the communication and being a great host. The space was great although it was further than we expected, address is not complete and we had to call her to find the place. Its a place to improve. But overall was a great stay and helped us to enjoy Barroselas.

I stayed here for my wedding and it made the whole experience so special. Elisa was so kind, caring and generous and made our stay so memorable. Great stay, we had a very good New Year's Eve. Very spacious house. We had a problem with a power outage, but they went there to solve it shortly after. We loved it
