Castle holiday rentals in Barcelona

Sebastian and Gloria have a true gem in the beautiful Catalonian country. Close to beautiful Vic and amazing villages (one of the best bakery’s is just a short distance away!) this is a must-stop spot if you are coming to the area. The home and its history is magical and the rooms are so gorgeous and comfy - we cannot wait to get back there with our family. Gloria and Sebastian were the kindest hosts you could ask for - we felt like long time friends after the first meeting and their passion for their property is unmatched. I cannot recommend this home enough and we are are already dreaming of our return trip.

Alex! Thank you very much for the best accommodation and welcoming ever! The apartment is better than you can see in the pictures and has it’s noble and warm spirit! There are well equipped kitchen with fireplace and TV on the ground floor. A small room with washing machine, hanger and cleaning stuff is next to the entrance. All 3 bedrooms are located on upper floors, each bedroom is on it’s own floor and has separate, small WC and shower next to it. We stayed there with our 2 year old daughter and found apartment to be children friendly, she loved claiming stairs up and down all the day long :) We stayed there in the end of April when it was quite could outside, just +5C in night time and +13C daytime, the heating worked nicely and we were glad to spend time in cosy ground floor. We took some walks in the surrounding trails up hill and enjoined picking rosemary in the wood and beautiful views with flowering fields and trees from the top of the fill. Alex, has keys of the 18th century church, that is located in the castle, so we were happy to have the opportunity to visit it. It would be perfect for wedding, small an cosy! But most of all we loved to have delighted lunch at the Castell de Orpi restaurant . We will be back soon definitely! Best regards, Marta and family

What a unique place!!! We absolutely loved it.

If we could give the castle 10 stars, we would! None of us wanted to leave. The castle with view and surroundings was beautiful and peaceful. Our kids loved learning the history of the castle and of Spain in general from Marc, the host. Marc was always available with anything we needed. We hiked 3 trails from the castle which Marc recommended and we loved them all. The kids enjoyed exploring the castle and property around the castle. They all say it’s the best place we’ve ever stayed! Thank you Marc! We hope to come back one day!:)

Absolutely stunning property with incredible views. We worked remotely here for several days and then spent time visiting the nearby vineyards. The property was perfect and the area was beautiful.

1. Carolina and her friend are perfect hosts. 2. It is an old castle. 1000 ~ 1300 years. It wasn't the castle I was thinking about (in the movie), but it's a different experience. 3. It's about a 15-20 minute drive from Girona. I chose this place to visit Girona. It's perfect. 4. I recommend staying at least 2 nights and relaxing in the house for one day.(Barbecue, swimming pool, etc.). We only stayed one night, so this part was a pity. 5. There is a very large grocery store in the middle of the road from Girona to the house. We recommend shopping here before going to the house.

Really surprised, the kindness and affection with which they treated us left us all really surprised, it is a very large house and small things can always happen, but even so we communicated them via telephone and they came immediately with the solution. We went for work and would return every time we work in Barcelona again. Thank you for everything.

We loved our stay with Gloria and Sebas, and would highly recommend. We booked it as it seemed like something the kids would remember for our first european vacation, and it is definitely something they will remember! We got to experience the clock tower, the beautiful grounds that had a lot of history, and a fun huge apartment with a lot of character! It felt like staying in a castle and the kids will absolutely remember it forever.

We stayed two nights in the fantastic place. The reception was very welcoming. We were guided directly through the whole property. It is a little off the beaten path in breathtaking nature. There is an extra building with a beautiful kitchen, a big pool and lots of recreational opportunities. Absolutely quiet secluded location, it is highly recommended. Alexander

We have been very comfortable in the castle. Everything is super well cared for and Cristina and Gabriel are lovely. We will be back for sure!
