Holiday rentals with a patio in Barão de São João

We loved staying here and the home was as described. The hosts where very responsive, and the sofa folded out bed was comfortable (as was the other bed).

Perhaps the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at. It was exactly what I needed after exploring the big cities. The property was exactly like the listing - if not more. It was in a quiet residential area but still walkable to the town center (less than 10mins). I LOVED the balconies, there’s 2 private balconies and both incredible. One has a sun lounge, and the other with a beautiful sea view. I watched the sunrise from that balcony one morning. It was surreal. I will definitely come back to Portugal just to stay at this Airbnb. Everything has well thought out, even little things like the outdoor washing machine and clothes drying rack for guests use. I would 10000% recommend this place.

Eva’s apartment was an oasis of calm and the perfect place for a relaxing break. We stayed 5 nights and were so happy we booked! It’s so thoughtfully decorated with everything you can need. The welcome gifts on arrival were such a lovely touch too. It’s in a great location at the Marina of Lagos. It’s quiet with restaurants and bars all within walking distance, as well as a big supermarket. Eva’s local tips and guidebook were spot on and very helpful. Cannot recommend more highly and hope to come back one day!

No words can describe this place!! Andrew and Tamarin’s apartment was absolutely stunning and lived up to the photos. The decor was stylish with a kitchen equipped with everything we needed. The apartment was spacious and clean with a gorgeous private patio. It is very central with access to everything…. restaurants, bars, shops and walking distance to the beach and the marina. The most perfect location. Whilst one of the bedrooms was a little noisy late at night, it only added to the atmosphere of this incredible apartment and experience of staying in Lagos! Andrew and Tamarin were very friendly and offered us so much advice before and during our stay. Favourite part was the old record player playing on our arrival…. and the beautiful hamper of local wine and pastries! Highly recommend.

AMAZING! Easy communication with Pedro & Ana from the minute we booked and for the duration of our stay. Lots of helpful information and suggestions too. Spotlessly clean apartment with a beautiful modern yet homely, comfortable feel. Fantastic location for easy access to restaurants, supermarkets, parking, the beech, walking trails….the list could go on and on! The location is also very peaceful and private despite being so central to the town. Luz itself is a very relaxing, picturesque little village while Lagos is only a short drive away (or bus or hike or bike ride!) and has a beautiful old town, full of vibrant charm to explore.

We had a great time at Martina's chic and cozy house! It has everything you want and has a beautiful private garden. Martina is a very thoughtful host and always available for questions. The location is great, just a few minutes drive to the nearest beach in a quiet village. Lagos and the fantastic beaches on the Atlantic coast are also easily accessible by car. Highly recommended!

This was our first time in Portugal and this Airbnb had the essence of what we were looking for. Situated right in an authentic setting, very private and full of charm, it offered the perfect balance of comfort and local character. The home was beautifully maintained, with thoughtful touches throughout, and the surroundings made us feel like we were truly immersed in Portuguese culture. Enjoying evenings on the terrace and morning coffee in the Penthouse made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a genuine experience. I was impressed by the quality of the accommodations—from the well-equipped kitchen to modern amenities. Everything felt carefully curated to enhance our stay without compromising the authenticity of the space. It’s clear the hosts take great pride in their property, and it made a real difference in our overall experience. The hosts were very responsive and gave us great locations to check out. The place was lovely, clean and in the heart of old town Lagos. Perfect location. All the recommendations provided by Gerry were spot on - from the food to the beaches. The highlight of our stay at the beach house was when we were able to sit on the rooftop and watch the fireworks celebrating Portugal day. Our host was extremely responsive and friendly. Highly recommend this beach house.

We had a very nice stay at Ana's place. The place is very clean and great equipped, we didn't miss anything. Especially highly recommended for families, because everything was thought of (toys, high chair, baby bath, etc.) The area is quiet and rural, yet Lagos can be reached within 10 minutes by car. Ana is a great host who is always easily accessible and makes you feel at home.

Exceptional location in Old Town Lagos! Sarah was incredibly communicative! As the description points out, there is no air conditioning, but Sarah gives pointers as to how to keep the place cool. Also, the entry stairs are a bit steep so be warned if you have large luggage. You’re literally minutes from restaurants and bars and there is an exceptional coffee shop just down the block. The place is a gem—felt very local!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Vitor’s place. We used the kitchen often and it had everything we needed. It was clean and spacious and very nice to have AC. Victor was very responsive and also offered suggestions of what we could do in the area. We really recommend!!

Our stay at Casa Bombarda was the highlight of our trip—both the unit and Lagos completely exceeded our expectations. The home is absolutely beautiful, with three stunning outdoor spaces, including a rooftop patio where we enjoyed ocean views and unforgettable sunsets. Luis was a fantastic host—great with communication, full of helpful recommendations, and always quick to respond to any questions or needs we had. The unit is fully equipped with everything you need for cooking and cleaning, which made our stay incredibly comfortable and convenient. The location is ideal: a short walk to the heart of old town and close to amazing restaurants, shops, and beaches. Casa Bombarda went well above and beyond what we hoped for. We’ll always remember our time here and will be recommending it to everyone we know!

Great place to stay, very responsive and welcoming hosts, bottle of wine was great! Location is not overly walkable to Lagos downtown, but wasn’t expecting it to be either. Great pool and amenities at the condo!

The accommodation, hosts, and location were all like a dream—filled with love and beauty. The owners were incredibly kind and caring, always helpful while also respecting our privacy. Our whole family enjoyed every moment, from watching the golfers to driving through the orange groves, and having fun on the trampoline and in the pool. Everything was top-notch. If I had to search for a negative (and I really had to think hard to find one), it would be just the occasional thought of whether a golfer's ball might come flying our way! 😂

The location of this apartment was amazing! And the view! We loved the peace and quiet of the terrace (we were there in May) . We also used the hiking trail that we could access easily right below the property: the Fisherman's Trail. We hiked to Burghau several times for breakfast/snacks at the Veranda and to Luz. We also hiked over the hill from Luz to Lagos. One warning: be sure to wear footwear if you venture to the lawn below the patio! We did have a rental car, so getting groceries and going out to eat were easy. Note there is not a dedicated parking spot for the unit.

Beautiful and within walking distance of old Lagos. Lovely fully equipped apartment. 350 m from the marina and very close to the beach!! The terrace is sunny most of the day.

I cannot say anything but positive things for this place! It truly felt like home. It was in the perfect location to not only a beach nearby, but walks around the area. Highly recommend this location to couples and solo travelers!

My husband and I enjoyed three marvelous days at this incredible home in Carvoeiro and the welcome bottle of wine and water was so thoughtful! Willem and Laura were extremely responsive with all correspondence. The apartment is clean, contemporary, comfortable bed, nicely furnished and the views are fantastic!! The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare daily breakfast and we appreciated the starter coffee pods. We really enjoyed kayaking to Benegil Cave; fabulous meals at The Garden and Levels; and overall charm of the special town. Thank you Willem and Laura! We highly recommend this rental and would love to visit again!
