Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Balkans

We spent 1 week in this charming house. The terrace is great and the view is breathtakingly beautiful. The house itself is lovingly developed and you only hear the sound of the sea and the chirping of the birds. There is everything you need. Everything just fit 100 percent. There is a beautiful beach about a 5-minute walk down from the house. It takes about 8 minutes to go up, but it is easy to manage. The path is totally worth it. Shopping is also not a problem, in the larger city of Akyaka, about 20 minutes by car, there is a well-stocked Migros, a butcher and a bakery. You can combine this well with a visit to a restaurant. It was perfect for us. Ali is a super nice young man and his family as well. In his restaurant, about 5 minutes by car towards Atyaka, there is very fine Gözleme. You just have to eat it. We felt so welcome! Thank you very much! Anytime again

Stromboli is magic and Renato's house is the ideal place to absorb all of this magic. Marco Polo is a beautifully simple home with near perfect aesthetics, both what location and what decoration is concerned. And that's a rare find for Italian short term rentals in whatever price range... The moment you arrive at the house, you slow down to the pace of the island. You settle into the rhythm of the waves and the distant grumble of the volcano. Life at its most essential. Thanks, Renato. We'll be back. For longer next time.

This should be the first choice for those who want a quiet, calm and peaceful getaway. Amazing house, what more could the perfect location be… I think the disappointment of those who expect hotel facilities is meaningless, what is presented clearly enough… The host is very caring and open to communication, we have never had any problems, but it is solution-oriented... Some of the details of the house require maintenance (as the shower head should change), yes, this is a fact, but they do not stand out next to the view… Since we went in March, we did not have a fly problem, but we had a hard time heating the bathroom, so we need to find a solution... In summary, it was a terrific experience, the worst part was that it left! Note: the cats are the real host:)

The spaces are very nice and warm. A very quiet and pleasant place to spend a few days. At the house you will be accompanied by dogs and a very nice cat! You will find a wide variety of wildlife, which constantly reminds you that you are in the middle of nature.

Salvatore’s home was perfectly located, beautifully decorated and clean. Highly recommend!

We were before the start of the summer season. There were not many other tourists. The weather was ideal. For our family of five, the villa and its three bedrooms were just the right size. It was a nice surprise that the villa also had a bricked outdoor grill and pizza oven. The tiny little road was a surprise when we arrived in the dark and almost stopped faith. It would have been nice to have a tavern or/shop within walking distance. We only had one driver. The week went by quickly and was fun. We recommend it to other family groups.

The house is wonderful and absolutely worth the cost. The view is breathtaking, and the surrounding forest is beautiful — it brought back memories from my childhood :) I’m especially grateful to Filip, who was very kind and responsive to all our questions and helped solve any issues. Highly recommended!

Nikos and Mary were great hosts, very friendly and helpful. Their place overlooks the beautiful bay and you can hear the sea gently lapping on the rocks. You get some great sunsets. Well equipped with a good shower. It's very close to the town by car and there's lots of restaurants and a few large supermarkets there with lots of beach bars/restaurants that have sunbeds and parasols on the beach. Great location, friendly hosts and a great place to chill and relax.

Ana is a great host; she patiently provided clear and easy-to-follow directions to the flat. The apartment is cozy with a comfy bed and peaceful surroundings, and the balcony has an amazing view of the pier and city wall, especially at dusk.

We were very happy to be back at Spiros’s place again after our holiday to Naxos and Paros. It’s the fifth time we have stayed and it was such a lovely end to our vacation. We loved sitting out on the rooftop looking at the Acropolis, eating out in wonderful restaurants and absorbing the history and culture of Athens. Spiros was so kind and friendly - he even bought us a bottle of wine and chocolates at the end of our stay. I highly recommend Spiros’s place - it’s clean, comfortable and right in the centre of the Plaka. You won’t find a better rooftop terrace in the whole of Athens! Thank you Spiros and we look forward to coming again for our holidays next year.

This was one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve had. Our stay in Conca dei Marini was absolutely perfect! We're happy that we chose this charming town over some of the other towns on the Amalfi coast, because it offered the most perfect retreat after visiting some of those busier locations! The tranquility was exactly what we needed, and the stunning panoramic views from this airbnbs terrace were truly unforgettable. We enjoyed spending each evening there with a glass of wine-thank you for the delicious red wine, Raffaele!! :) Raffaele and Angela are truly exceptional hosts. Raffaele checked on us daily to ensure we were comfortable. His thoughtful recommendations on places to visit, dine, and explore definitely helped. We particularly enjoyed his suggestion of the restaurant Le Bonta del Capo and loved the Santa Rosa bar. If you're pondering on whether to stay at this Airbnb, stop hesitating and book now. You won’t be disappointed — this place truly exceeded our expectations!

Beautiful room in a spectacular location with view to Galata Tower even from the bed. Very well equipped, in very good general condition, spotlessly clean. Naz is a super-responsive and helpful host. She was also flexible with check in and check out. It should be noted that the area is full of restaurants and people so it will not be entirely quiet during the first part of the night; however, the windows are well insulated against noise.

We really enjoyed the stay. The place is spacious, well appointed, and the outside areas are super - sun deck, covered eating area and jacuzzi, with great views. You need Ubers or buses to get to and from old town, about 6-10 eur, but they're readily available.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this Airbnb! Claudia was extremely welcoming and attentive to all the details, which made our stay truly special. The place is impeccable, clean and tastefully decorated, offering all the comforts we needed. The location is perfect, quiet. We chose the location for the wedding preparations and it was perfect, if we were to still choose here we would come back! I highly recommend this place.

The perfect place to stay for a break in Sofia. Location, space and communication was excellent. Walking distance to all the places you want to see but quietly tucked away meaning you could relax. Everything was clean and tidy, nothing negative to say.

One of the highlights was definitely the pool, which we had the pleasure of enjoying throughout our stay. It felt like our own little oasis in the city. Another thoughtful touch was the welcome basket, such attention to detail! It was clear that a lot of care and consideration went into making our stay special. And a special thank you to our host for being so patient and kind when we (more than once!) forgot our keys. She never made us feel like a burden and always helped with a smile. Graziella's home was beautiful and clean and it had everything i needed and more. Graziella was so kind and welcoming and she made sure i had everything i needed and even had breakfast items for me. She is truly a wonderful host. It was a perfect place to get away from the chaos of the bigger busier cities and relax in San Lucido beautiful quaint seaside town. There is a bus that comes through town a few times a day and the local tobacco shop sells train and bus tickets, but it only has one train. The adjacent towns are also very quaint and beautiful. There are a couple grocery stores and several shops in town that are very reasonably priced. People are warm and friendly and very helpful. The little town below can get lively and loud but the town shuts down very early. A car to see the beautiful surrounding area is definitely recommended. Paola has a few options but you will have to book in advance.

As we walked into the place, David greeted us with a warm welcome and basic instructions of the place. The snacks and drinks he left in the place for us were scrumptious and the recommended places were flawless. The place was definitely a once in a lifetime experience and anyone visiting Palermo should try it out!

I can’t recommend Evangelos’ place enough! This was the perfect place for my husband and I on our short 3-day stay in Athens. The location was great, very walkable to many cafes and restaurants. The walk to the Acropolis was uphill so we would get a quick/cheap taxi there, and walk back to the Airbnb (~15 min walk). We felt very safe in the neighborhood, there were always people around. The hot tub was such a great place to relax after long days of walking, and the view of the Parthenon was just lovely - especially at night. Finally, Evangelos was so easy to communicate with and answered all of my questions. He also connected us with a great driver Petros, who picked us up from our cruise port and brought us to the airport. We had a fantastic stay in Athens and everything from check in to check out went very smoothly thanks to Evangelos!

Finest Airbnb I have ever stayed in. Actually, it's hard to compare with other Airbnbs because this was such a cut above. Views of the Acropolis from almost every part of the two story unit. 10 mins from the best dining and the Acropolis museum. Very private and safe even when entirely open to Athens as both floors open to the outside with extensive outdoor areas on both floors. Very, very clean, high end Euro design and top notch technology and everything easy to use. My family and I were blown away. Lastly we chose the daily breakfast delivery. Made the day start just right.

Beautiful apartment in the heart of the historic center of Alberobello. Very quiet considering the location. Beautiful terrace. Impeccably clean. Raffaele's mother let me in. Please note there are many stairs to enter the apartment and with my carry on bags only, it was manageable.

A lovely modern condo in the heart of Heraklion. Located next to a mini market and delicious bakery, this spot is in a great location. We especially loved the rooftop space!

Absolutely stunning apartment on the top floor of a 3 story building with the most amazing sea views one can lavish in. This corner apartment is very spacious and airy with a super comfortable bed and linens, a great open kitchen with all appliances and the most amazing wrap around balcony literally a stones throw away from the sandy beach and clean sea. There is a cafe underneath with soft music in afternoons but now in May it was very quiet (which might not be the case for the summer). I loved sleeping and waking to the sound of nothing but the waves. It was a true blessing. Thank you for having me Elena!
