Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Bairrada DOC

It was a very nice cottage, small, but everything was in good material, nice shower, nicely decorated with nice wood details. We slept wonderfully with the windows open and the sound of the river, otherwise it was completely quiet at night. Outside nice terraces, wonderfully seated with our feet in the river, a fantastic environment, completely unobstructed views at the back of the house and a lovely hamlet. We walked every day for half an hour to Gois, a beautiful village with river and delicious pastries at the paladeria. We thought it was very nice!

My second time in this house and I can only say that I love, they are very dear people who are always available, the house is very cosy and makes me feel at home, In Brief I will return ♥️

We loved our stay at Casa do Professor. It was so quiet and peaceful. Lovely views, beautiful house inside and out. It worked well for a day trip to the Duoro wine area and another to Viseu, it was wonderful to come home to. Also nice walks in the general area (one was from the house, towards town, onto the ecopista). Lovely, quiet area full of small villages. Easy driving, groceries and restaurants nearby. We cooked a few meals and had what we needed. Having the washing machine was helpful. Comfortable beds, beautiful decor, yummy pastries delivered by Antonio's parents. Antonio was responsive and gave a lot of helpful suggestions in response to our questions. Highly recommended!

The view is amazing and the place is very peaceful. Bring some supplies with you as the nearest supermarket is 15m away (by car) and enjoy the nature. Everything was as announced, clean and with everything needed to cook.

We had an excellent stay in Cernache. The spacious apartment offered enough space for all our needs and was attractively furnished and very clean. The processed wood has a great scent. Antonio greeted us personally and gave us tips on the stay and the area. The garden with orange and lemon trees, which gave us fresh juice for the breakfast table, a playhouse and swings as well as a small pool, which especially pleased our daughter, was particularly beautiful. It is only a stone's throw away from Coimbra, but Cernache also welcomed us very kindly, the locals were all very accommodating. Thank you!

Very nice house with all the amenities and very complete, there is everything to spend the whole stay, everything impeccable, we felt at home, a quiet place ideal to disconnect and be in a natural environment. Near Coimbra, which is where we were going. Pedro has been very attentive and responds very quickly if you have any questions. I definitely recommend it 100%. We went with 5 friends and the place is perfect for everyone. We will return without hesitation, but next time I will do it with my children, I think it is ideal to go with children.

João was an incredible host. Friendly, proactive giving us lots of recommendations and tips on local spots and where to go. The place is very cozy, and a truly Portuguese “Aldeia”. It is quite isolated, so for those that enjoy peace and being deep in nature, this is the place. If you are looking for some time away from the busy city life, this is the place. If you want to stop near Aveiro and if you are looking for tranquility with a superb view, do not hesitate to stop at Margarida. Even if you don't know her, you'll find in her a sister, a friend with the feeling of having known her forever. A welcome and attentiveness that we have rarely seen. The house is very spacious, well arranged to accommodate up to 6 people with a very large seating area. The exteriors are just as well thought out with the barbecue, the small pool and the jacuzzi. We'll come back in the summer to test it all out. Thanks again to Margarida for her warm welcome and her extreme dedication to satisfying us. At Margarida, you feel like you're part of the family. The small orchids in the rooms were well appreciated. Very nice place for a relaxing holiday.

A dream place! Beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly designed. Everything felt thoughtful and welcoming. Truly hard to leave...we’ll definitely be back :)!

We had an amazing time at Casa das Santiagas. The house is very spacious and all facilities are available. Whether it is playing football on the football pitch or chilling at the pool, all can be done. It really is a great house for groups. The host is very friendly and proactive in his communication. Would definitely recommend! Next to that, the location itself is very quiet and beautiful but still in close proximity to all kinds of activities (including the city of Porto)

The little village of Sigueros is truly a magical place. We booked this home last minute after staying nearby in a different cottage. We loved the area so much we needed some extra time there! There are gorgeous walks and numerous trails right from the house. We cooked and enjoyed the fire in the evenings. The bedding, matress, pillows - all incredibly cozy. We hope to return in the summer when we can enjoy the pool and the excellent outdoor spaces at the house. Thank you so much for a great stay.

Beautiful location, right next to the river and the mill. Bruno was a communicative and helpful host. It's very small, as it says in the description, but for 2 nights was ok.

What a wonderful place to stay! The house is incredibly spacious, comfortable and well equipped, with a great view of the countryside. (The only lack was an oven, although there’s a convection microwave and BBQ and even an outdoor pizza oven.) Carlos was an amazing host, so warm and kind and concerned that we enjoy our stay. For example, he told us about a folkloric festival nearby which was only attended by locals (and us), and when I asked about an orange juicer, he went and bought one and brought it over. We used the place as a base to explore Coimbra (30 minutes away), to kayak the Mondego river (from Penacova 20 minutes away with O Pinheiro), and to cycle the Dao ecopisto, a 48 km decommissioned railway line (which you can do one way with Abelenda Bike Rental who include transfer). I highly recommend staying here.

Richard and Ishbel offer a very special home, allowing you to get off the grid and be surrounded by beautiful nature while also being very close to many amenities - gas, grocery, cafes and restaurants within a 10mins drive. The hosts are very accommodating and friendly, and live next door and are very respectful of your privacy and helpful with providing suggestions. They have a large property that is a paradise for kids to explore with rabbits, cats, dogs, ducks and chickens - and even horses across the stream at another property.

A beautiful little house with everything you need for your stay. We were able to use the bbq! Paula is always attentive, and the place is very quiet. We really enjoyed it!!

Everything was as promised!

The apartment was clean, modern and spacious and had everything we needed for a relaxing visit. Several windows gave great views of the gondolas on the canal. Light filled the apartment during tne day but highly effective blackout blinds made sleeping at night a pleasure. We didn't have a car but everything was within walking distance. Walking back and forth to the train station took about 20 minutes each way. The bus stop to catch the public bus to the beach at Costa Nova is just a short walk from the apartment. Both Ely and Fatima were friendly, responsive and helpful. We would love to return some day.

The apartment was very nice and clean, in a quiet town near Aveiro. It was just like the pictures and had a lot of towels and everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely recommend!

From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found a hidden paradise. The place is absolutely stunning: remote, peaceful, and breathtakingly beautiful. The house itself is very cosy and comfortable, with a spacious bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and a great outdoor barbecue that worked perfectly for us. However, the real charm is in the outdoor areas. Not only did we have a waterfall right at the doorstep, we were also able to enjoy a natural pool just for ourselves. The sound of the water, the refreshing swims in the river, the clean air... it all created a sense of peace that’s hard to put into words. Truly revitalizing. Alex was the perfect host: kind, helpful, and communicative, while also giving us complete privacy and space to enjoy. Super easy to talk to and made everything smooth from start to finish. Trust me, this one is a real gem. We already can't wait to come back!

After the initial check-in hiccup with the lockbox, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Joana's apartment. The decoration is very calming - she has a talent for interior design. We loved the private outdooor garden and the separate suite. The neighborhood was so unique and we appreciated the parking lot down the road. We would definitely return to her delightful space in Aveiro.
