Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Baião

Very cute little house on the edge of the Rio, converted into a mill, it's rustic but at the same time everything has been arranged and thought out to have a good time, with all the possible comforts (and even games available, a coffee machine etc). There is plenty of space to put yourself, although the house is very dark as it is in old walls, but the garden is simply beautiful. Between the sound of the stream that passes below the terrace, the flowers and the deckchairs to settle in, we were in paradise! Everything was clean and in place for our arrival. The house is right next to a bridge and we went for a walk around it was really nice. A very nice restaurant is 2 minutes' drive from there for a more chic atmosphere that is also enjoyable! Thank you very much :)

Wow! So much more than the photos show. We were a group of 6 traveling Portugal and added the Douro to the itinerary for beauty and relaxation, we weren’t disappointed. Communication was fantastic, the house is extremely well equipped for cooking and leisure and the beds were really comfortable. Every corner of the house has a wow moment. The surrounding property was beautiful to walk around, none of us wanted to leave for the next leg of our trip. A special mention to Antonia the caretaker who was very helpful and friendly. If you’re planning on touring the wineries and in need of a driver Paulo is fantastic and can be contacted via the host. We will be back.

Absolutely loved our stay! Woke up to breathtaking views every morning and had an amazing times poolside. Highly recommended!

Super comfortable house with a very good view, good location for tourism

Truly loved our stay at Paulo's place. Beautiful views of vinyards and hillsides with birds chirping in the trees. Paulo was friendly and helpful, offering advice on places to go and where to eat. Lovely restaurant located downstairs. I would recommend staying here for anyone looking to visit the Douro region. Train to Porto stops nearby at Aregos but don't let the short distance on the map deceive you. It's very hilly terrain and not walkable.

The apartment is superb..The setting ,the environment is wonderful and the Portuguese are humanly so good..So touching..I felt like I was on a cloud of tranquility and peace... I would come back..The Douro Verde half marathon is really, already unforgettable...

It was perfect.

Excellent, clean, and modern apartment! It had everything one could need, including a stocked kitchen with great coffee, a nice shower, and air conditioning. The bed was comfortable and the place overall was peaceful, which made it easy to rest. Parking was easily accessible at a nearby garage. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Everything was perfect.

The place was outstanding!!! Sparkling clean and luxuriously equipped. I felt very pampered and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. I can only recommend the apartment to anyone. My hosts were very patient and extremely friendly even though I arrived much later than planned.

We loved our stay at Elisabete’s place . She and her husband are good people . Elisabete also arranged for a late night taxi back to the airport . The apartment is spotless , clean and is located perfectly for the ones without a car . There was good heating and air conditioning . The location is exceptional and the best in the area for the ones without a car . There are two huge supermarkets ( Continente and Lidl ) within immediate vicinity . Also there are lovely restaurants within walking distance . Burger King is 5 mins walk away . Public transport ( Bus ) is a 15 min walk away . And the lovely picturesque town of Amarante is 15 mins walk away . Our three little kids enjoyed their walk to the centre of Amarante . We used public transport to get to Guimaraes, Porto and the train station . On days when we wanted to stay at home , we simply enjoyed the unobstructed view from the balcony with a glass of a cool drink . We have stayed in many Air bnbs but this is the best so far .
