Nuno’s place exceeded our expectations. It has a beautiful balcony with a view over the Douro river. The pool area is peaceful and breakfast provided was an added bonus. Nuno was very helpful and provided us with great recommendations for wine tasting and spots to visit. The apartment is spacious, clean and has a small kitchen which we were able to use to cook in the evenings.

Very nice accommodation. Welcoming, responsive and friendly owner. Well located for those who are looking for peace and tranquility. The kids loved the pool. Thanks again. Overall we had a regards.

The view here is incomparable! The views over the Duoro River are amazing. It’s so close to wineries and winery tours too. There’s a supermarket close by with all you’ll need. It was hot the day we arrived and the pool overlooking the valley was pristine and oh so refreshing! Our host did a great job of communicating and made us feel right at home. I could have stayed here a lot longer!

I went with 6 others. We had a really good time. The villas were stunning and the pool was great. I would recommend getting a car if you go here though.

Wow! So much more than the photos show. We were a group of 6 traveling Portugal and added the Douro to the itinerary for beauty and relaxation, we weren’t disappointed. Communication was fantastic, the house is extremely well equipped for cooking and leisure and the beds were really comfortable. Every corner of the house has a wow moment. The surrounding property was beautiful to walk around, none of us wanted to leave for the next leg of our trip. A special mention to Antonia the caretaker who was very helpful and friendly. If you’re planning on touring the wineries and in need of a driver Paulo is fantastic and can be contacted via the host. We will be back.

House located in the middle of the vineyards. Magnificent view of the Douro Valley. Everything was great and clean when we arrived. The house is large and has everything you need to feel good. The pool and air conditioning are a real plus not to be overlooked in hot weather. Thank you to Thomas for his kindness, he was responsive to each of my requests, always with the concern to bring me satisfaction. We had a pleasant stay in Portugal and thanks to this house the experience was even better. My kids were delighted. We hope to be back someday! Thanks again

There are accommodations that leave a mark. This is one of them. Starting with the warm welcome from the owners who welcomed us in person. They explained everything. The house is beautiful and comfortable. A house that has been in the family for 200 years but renovated and very well preserved. Exquisite decoration of precious family objects. A beautiful swimming pool and diverse spaces to enjoy the house. The pool room is a spectacle. The chapel is a beautiful surprise. In addition, the orchard and the garden with various fruits and vegetables give that feeling of being able to feed yourself naturally. The tours and trails around the extensive property allow us to have healthy moments. In addition to the sheep, chickens and rabbits that are part of the countryside experience. A cozy space to have comfort among friends and connect with the tranquility of nature. We intend to return.

We really enjoyed our stay, it was a great place to spend the night of the New Year's Eve. Calm Site with all conditions to host a family or in our case a group of friends.

This is a beautiful home! We spent a wonderful week with extended family ranging in age from 90 years to 2 years old. The home was perfect for everyone. It is a large historical property that is traditionally but comfortably furnished and was immaculately clean. There is lots of space and many interesting places to explore - it really fired the imaginations of our 6 and 8 year old boys. The pool was very clean and bigger than we imagined. There were Sun loungers, shade umbrellas and toys for the kids which was a real bonus. The host family were welcoming, kind and very hospitable. They responded very quickly to any questions. The property is less than 10 minutes drive to a railway station with good service to Porto or beautiful inland train ride along the Douro River. We had a super week and unreservedly recommend this property.

We spent 10 days at Quinta De Nadais in early August. The climate is perfect - hot during the day, cooler at night. Surrounded by an abundance of fruit trees and vegetables which you are free to eat, this quiet working farm offers a rustic retreat up in the hills above the river Douro. The large house is comfortable and spotless, with great facilities. The pool is surrounded by a lush lawn on the hillside with magnificent views over the valley. Adjacent to the property, and sharing the driveway, is another small property whose single inhabitant is pleasant and quiet. We were given a massive amount of fruit and veg from the farm which was delicious. Local supermarkets offer a good selection of fresh fish, meat and vegetables. We cooked at the property most nights and ate outside overlooking the pool and valley - hard to beat the view at any restaurant. Our host was wonderful, attentive and helpful, and a pleasure to deal with. A fantastic holiday. Thanks!

We had a great vacation with the family. The house is very spacious with a beautiful terrace on the Douro. Communication with the service was nice once we were put on the newsgroup. Just a little misunderstanding of having joined the discussion groups only 2 hours before. Overall very happy and I will be happy to recommend this place. A little dangerous for children (stairs, steep terrace,...)

Maria Helena's house was a real discovery for our family. Finding the house can be a bit tricky, but you need to follow the directions provided. It's like a family museum. Maria Helena's family history has been ingeniously preserved here - her grandfather bought the house, and she herself was born in this house. Impressive old furniture, a collection of dishes, family photos - you can feel the authentic spirit of the Douro locals. The house was very clean, and there was absolutely everything you could need for a long stay. We were greeted with port wine and cherries grown by the neighbors. The surroundings of the house are no less impressive: stunning views from all the windows of the house to the Douro Valley, a huge courtyard for breakfast, dinner, or sitting with wine or tea. During the day, you can sunbathe or read a book in the shade in the courtyard of the house. We couldn't imagine a better place to get to know the Douro Valley than Maria Helena's house.

Perfect place for a weekend escape from the city! The view is absolutely stunning, with a great pool for two and a private backyard that’s closed which is perfect for your mascot. The house had everything needed for a short peaceful stay. Although the neighbors are close by, the view makes up for it while relaxing outside while grilling a bbq

We had a great time at Véra's, who welcomed us warmly and gave us plenty of good tips for activities and outings. A big thank you to her mom too for her kindness and hospitality. The house is ideally located for visiting the area which is beautiful. It has both the charm of yesteryear while being very well furnished and comfortable. We'll be happy to go back!

What more can I say than the previous reviews, one of the best AIRBNBs we've ever had! We were two couples and we had a wonderful week. Pedro and Susane are very friendly, warm, we were received like kings with a lot of attention and many small treats that we enjoyed. The house is very nice, comfortable, very quiet, exceptional dominant view of the countryside and the mountains... it feels very nice, the people of the village are very nice and welcoming. The photos are not representative, it's much better in person. Two bathrooms with toilets, including one in a bedroom... really ideal for two couples. Thank you for hosting us and for making the effort to speak to us in French (Very good!) We recommend your home 200% and we hope to be able to come back to enjoy the Douro Valley (exceptional!)
