I had a wonderful stay at this villa! The views were absolutely stunning—waking up to that scenery every day was a real treat. The overall ambiance was calm, cozy, and inviting, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. Both the indoor and outdoor areas were spacious and beautifully maintained, offering plenty of room to unwind, dine, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The staff was amazing—attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with anything we needed. A special shoutout to the chef Ranga who was fantastic and prepared delicious hotel-style meals that made the experience feel even more luxurious. it was a truly memorable stay, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape with great service and stunning views.

Fantastic home and some great help from Danuo and Praba who cooked some fantastic food and were always there to help and offer services and information . Praba was a great Caddy ! Overall a fantastic host, house helps and definitely recommend for families and friends coming to Victoria

Awesome Place was exactly that... awesome. between the stunning view, the pristine , quiet surrounds and the wonderful villa, this was a dream. 6 of us travelled here for some serenity and we found it. A great host and a great place to stay, high up in the mountains. Ajith is very helpful and accommodating, he has fulfilled every wish for us and very supported in organizing our onward journey. His staff were also very kind. We were even allowed to do our laundry in the washing machine and the grilled fish was extremely delicious. Thank you Ajith for the great time high in the mountains 🙏

Wow! This place is incredible, if you love golf you’ll be in heaven. I’ve never played at a more friendly club ever! The members are so welcoming and we made some awesome friends here that we will keep in touch with. Alan is a great host and did even more than required we feel really privileged to have met such wonderful people. His property is amazing, you won’t be disappointed, along with his care taker and house keeper we felt relaxed, safe and well looked after. Our 10 day stay here will be hard to beat, we can’t wait to come back!

Our stay at Somaland was an incredible experience! We were treated like royalty yet felt completely relaxed and like at home. The colonial mansion is very beautiful. Impeccably preserved and kept, luxurious and comfortable, it’s huge and full of exquisite furnishings. Such a rare opportunity to be able to stay in such a magnificent residence with such history, surrounded by peaceful gardens and lush landscape. Our trip was only enhanced by the divine attention and service of Nilani and Gamage. They welcomed us into the home and looked after us like special family members. So thoughtful and kind and fun. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an extraordinary and wonderful experience. Pieter the host was incredibly helpful and attentive with many extra tips along the way. Staying with Ajith and his family was a pleasure. We had a wonderful time staying with them. I would recommend to try the meals of them. His mother made us every morning homemade coconut rotti (so good) and we tried also her curry what was probably one of the best we ate in Sri Lanka. It is not in Ella Town but he offers a lift free of charge so it is not a problem and you can avoid tourist crowds.

Anushka is very responsive and helpful. Place was as posted and had a few extras like water heater and washing machine although those were not listed! He even threw in free transport for our World’s End hike! Peaceful surrounding and 3mins walk to Pattipola railway station. Great service!

i stayed only one night here, nice place,host is keeping house and outside areas as very clean. i enjoyed the breakfast it was so authentic and delicious it is located in near to beatiful ella railway station,i could see beatiful view of the ella railway area from this house. it was very helpful to me take good pictures and videos. I would recommend staying at this place to people who are like to stay quiet and cosy
