Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Badger Creek

What a beautiful little slice of the yarra valley. The heating was very efficient, it was icy overnight and we had no idea. We woke to kangaroos outside the window each morning. The caretakers lodge was much closer to the accommodation than I expected, however they were very helpful and friendly and I didn't see them apart from when I checked in. The house is stunning. The view from the huge windows is lovely. It felt very luxurious and was a lovely place to stay after getting married. I would absolutely recommend Kangaroo Manor to others, and I'd love the opportunity to stay there again one day. The hosts were very proactive, kind, and professional, and gave me the impression that I could contact them at any time. Thank you for a very memorable experience.

I had booked this beautiful home for our wedding weekend. Shelly was super responsive and allowed us to check in early which was so appreciative. We also had our little dog with us (he was our ring bearer for the wedding) Shelly made it clear that the house wasn’t fully gated and I appreciated this. The place itself is gorgeous, beautiful clean rooms and decor and the greenery was so idyllic. I can’t wait to see my pre wedding photos that we took there as I think they’ll turn out beautiful! Thanks again Shelly, you were so responsive with my questions and so accommodating to our needs.

Really lovely house, a cosy cottage only a short way from the main strip. It was pouring with rain and freezing when we arrived but the house was really warm and comfortable.

This little peace of heaven was perfect for our family to celebrate my 40th birthday. From the moment we walked in the front gate to see the house amongst the gum trees and then the waterfall from the bedroom. We felt like we stepped into an old fairytale world with our own treehouse. Everywhere we walked felt like little fairy’s were waiting to greet us. The ferns throughout and stepping stones between each area made for the best adventures. The kids loved watching the frogs and tadpoles in the back pool. The natural pool was incredible and soul nourishing. Our first experience with a natural pool and it was breathtaking, especially being able to swim under the waterfalls. Thank you so much Sarah, we hope to return sometime Soon.

My husband, myself and our 4 adult children stayed at Lavender Farm. When first arriving we were greeted by their friendly dogs. Jacky had made a delicious cake and fresh bread plus farm fresh eggs and bacon ready for breakfast the next morning. It made us feel right at home. The farm is beautiful as is the accommodation. Tony (the host) was very friendly and helpful. The town itself has everything you need. Healesville is a lovely place to stay. I would highly recommend Lavender Farm.

We LOVED our 4 nights in Alison's home. Very clean and comfortable. Alison's communication was super clear and helpful. We appreciated the full kitchen, the heating (it was pretty cold outside), and the restful quiet location was exactly what we both needed. Thanks Alison for a great experience.

Such a beautiful home, the perfect space for a retreat

Gorgeous little cottage that has been thoughtfully decorated and felt homely. Convenient location walkable to shops and local amenities but far enough to give a sense of the countryside. Good for a winter stay with electric blankets and heating. Highlight was the lovely big bath. Would stay again!

Stayed 2 nights at Allan and Elizabeth’s listing. The place was as per photos and felt very clean and fresh. Host was kind to get the heating turned on for us before we arrived as it was a cold day. We chose this area as it was in close proximity to the massive Chadstone shopping centre and is between Melbourne and Phillip Island (penguins). Overall a very pleasant and easy stay. Do note to request for self check-in if required as we had the host wait up for us and we felt really bad!

Austin was really helpful in accommodating an additional request that I had and even spent time sending me photographs in his assistance. On arrival check in was very easy and notably, the accommodation was extremely well fitted.. but also spotlessly clean.. so I was very happy. Even the mattress, which can often be a bit of a lottery got a thumbs up from me. High fives all round really!

Amazing place right in the heart of Gembrook. We happened to catch the coffee and cars event in Gembrook which was so special and unexpected. We simply walked to dinner at the Independent and her place is across from IGA super market. Leah has a calm and clean place to relax in and unwind.

Such a gorgeous apartment and super convenient location. Sarah was super helpful and quick at responding. Thank you for having us!

great place to stay, Bec was a great host

We loved our stay at Libby and Rob’s place! Their hospitality was truly wonderful — from the warm fire and the beautiful handmade cakes waiting for us on arrival, to all the thoughtful touches for our 5-year-old daughter. The house itself is beautiful, very clean, and incredibly comfortable. Our daughter especially enjoyed playing the piano — such a lovely bonus! Thank you again for making our stay so special. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay here! Beautiful spot just out of town, only a couple of minutes to drive into everything at Emerald. Was great having the separate living area, bedroom and bathroom. Lovely having a bath and a king bed. Thank you for allowing us to stay Lyn and for accommodating our date change, would stay again!

The cottage was stunning and exactly as advertised, The view from the bedroom windows was amazing. Anniggien was a gracious host providing the little extras to make our stay more comfortable. The only complaint we have from the whole experience is the couch being too close to the floor. Would definitely recommend and would happily book again.

We absolutely loved our stay and were grateful to call this wonderful apartment “home” if only for one night! The host was very responsive and friendly, making us feel supported and welcome. The thorough instructions provided made check-in and check-out easy and stress free. The central location was perfect for our needs and I would love to stay again future. Its an apartment with a magnificent view across Melbourne, right next to the incredible Victoria Market and the thumping heart of the centre of the city. Yet it is peaceful and quiet. The pool is long and lovely and there is a gym too. Selina was wonderful and responsive. Would definitely come back if I visited Melbourne again.

Ace's place was very enjoyable to stay in for us when we went to Melbourne. Being on the 63rd floor, the view was amazing, and you could not really hear much of the city noises. The amenities of this building were more than enough. We had access to two pools, a gym, and various other amenities that can be accessed through a different booking (e.g. Virtual golf, Library, Karaoke and Mahjong). The location of this place was superb, being right in the middle of the city and having multiple modes of transport right outside the building. Shopping and restaurants were common in the area too. There was a little hiccup during the booking of Ace's place due to some listing errors, but it was generally easy to communicate with him, and we solved the issue pretty fast. One downside is that some extra funds are required if you would like to check in early/late, or if you would like to leave your suitcase within the building. Overall, an amazing stay and would definitely stay again!

We stayed 5 weeks in the apartment and loved it. It’s bright, airy and has everything we needed to feel at home. Great location in the heart of Hawthorn and so close to train station, trams and lots of great food places. Highly recommend.
