The photos fail to describe the wonderful of the place. The view from the terrace is another level of beauty. We hit a full moon and you can't imagine that view and the awesome sunrise. If what you are looking for is privacy, a super central area, a quiet place, with private docks, unlimited use kayaks and with parking. This is your ideal place, we had an incredible time, with a wonderful view of the lagoon, the center 2 blocks away, restaurants outside the accommodation and shops a few steps away, flexibility of arrival, they let us use the facilities while they gave us the loft, and practically the dock was just ours, we were always alone, Peter always had everything necessary to have a good day, Peter was always open to solve our doubts, the WIFI connection was weak but he lent us a router and it was resolved quickly. The only observation was that he needed some maintenance and cleaning details (nothing that affects the stay), the bathroom door did not close well and the sink key was a little dirty, in addition to the fact that the bed gushed with any movement, no doubt we would stay again!

Enjoyed our stay! Great location right on the beach. Having the restaurant downstairs was handy. The hotel staff were kind and courteous and beds were comfy. We really appreciated the waters and nespresso pods! We didn’t have time to use the beach club but it looked beautiful! The only suggestions would be to add more patio furniture (we wanted to sit outside but there weren’t enough seats for our group of 4) and use smaller key chains- The huge squares didn’t easily fit in our pockets or purses so were kind of inconvenient. It was perfect and relaxing! We will definitely stay here next time we visit Mahahual!

Eric and Jorge are two excellent hosts. Super friendly and very willing to give you all the local information. The simply magical little town. Highly recommended. And the sea view is a dream. One of the best hosts I've met on this app.

King size bed! Great use of the available space. Quiet area even though it is right on the beach, with restaurants and bars very close by. Julieta and Martin made sure that we had very fast internet service, great for a longer stay. Any problems were quickly resolved.

Everything was very good, only the pool maintenance was done on the last day

My family and I loved this beautiful house. We have 3 children aged 2 and 5 and we thought it was going to be complicated but it was the opposite. The house has a great location, as they say it is at the foot of a cenote and it was impressive to return to the house one day when we took an excursion and see our little house in Bacalar in the distance and be able to take a photo from the Lagoon to save this beautiful memory that was an important part of our vacation. Every morning it was beautiful to open the curtains and see the Lagoon there with us, with those wonderful colors. We couldn't have picked a better place. Super complete and first class service. Thank you very much!! See you very soon!

Very good service from the host, the conditions of the house were excellent, the dock to the lagoon was a plus with a very good area to enjoy the water.

Beautiful and quiet, excellent location. We used the kayaks every day and enjoyed the hammocks in front of the Lagoon. The loft-style home setup was great for our family of 4 (2 kids and 2 adults). We’d love to go back again one day!

The house is extremely comfortable, a quiet and far away area, it is easy to go out and find a taxi , or Ana la Sra la sra takes care of the house, looking for some unit, we supported us to go to the pharmacy she on her motorcycle we thank 🏍 her very much for the gesture. The view of the lagoon is impressive to see the 🌅 sunrise even the sunset is an unparalleled peace. we thank the vests saves lives because I don't swim and that gave me security is a deep area and with a lot of stone, but it is worth it . try to bring the essentials to cook if your plan is not to go out , because there is nothing nearby .

Martin and his wife are very nice. The dogs in the house are a worship. The beach is a wonder there are fish on the shore you can swim and enjoy the wonderful sand the kayak are very much enjoyed. We highly recommend visiting the house.

Great location right on the lake. We especially enjoyed spending time in the outdoor eating area (with full kitchenette), and swimming and watersports activities right off the private pier. Note that the property has bedrooms in two separate buildings. Two bedrooms are lakefront, and the remaining bedrooms are a bit further back in a separate building, which also includes a kitchen and outdoor seating. The property was clean and well kept, albeit a bit dated. Location is about 5 minute drive into town. Overall a great spot for a few days in Bacalar.

The place is very nice, the access is by a complicated path but it is part of the experience of being away from the village and private and does not depend on them that path. The place is a 10 if you know how to understand, it is a homemade place not a luxury resort and the photos are always nicer than the place but in value it stands out. The stay was fine, you can use the free kayaks and explore the lagoon The only thing that would improve is that the bathroom does not have any ventilation and what even by regulation I would have to have. (If they put an extractor for the steam from the shower or the smells in the bathroom it would be much better the experience

This was our second stay at Xcabal. We really like this place. It is easy to find and very close to town, but far enough to be quiet and tranquil. The rooms are very pretty and perfectly clean, with super comfy beds and bedding. The shower gets nice and hot and has awesome water pressure. The dock area is super: great for swimming or just lounging around to enjoy the beautiful lake. The staff is really nice and helpful and very chill. All good stuff!

We were very happy !!! Excellent hosts. They were aware of what we needed and let us settle in earlier as we arrived sooner after a long trip, we really appreciate it. The beach a few steps away, with great privacy and freedom. Beautiful place. Upon returning, we would love to stay here again <3
