Holiday rentals with beach access in Bacalar Lagoon

We really liked it! The place was very nice and clean! Of course, it is recommended for people who have a car, or who have no problem taking a taxi, as it is a bit far from the center of Bacalar to walk!

Guillermo and Diana's place is our "go to" place in Chetumal when we want a peaceful accomodation. It's just steps from the bay in a very walkable and safe neighborhood and close to a taxi stand and a Walmart mini mall. The neighborhood is exceptionally friendly and 30 pesos gets you to the heart of Centro and the Muelle Fiscal.

If what you are looking for is privacy, a super central area, a quiet place, with private docks, unlimited use kayaks and with parking. This is your ideal place, we had an incredible time, with a wonderful view of the lagoon, the center 2 blocks away, restaurants outside the accommodation and shops a few steps away, flexibility of arrival, they let us use the facilities while they gave us the loft, and practically the dock was just ours, we were always alone, Peter always had everything necessary to have a good day, Peter was always open to solve our doubts, the WIFI connection was weak but he lent us a router and it was resolved quickly. The only observation was that he needed some maintenance and cleaning details (nothing that affects the stay), the bathroom door did not close well and the sink key was a little dirty, in addition to the fact that the bed gushed with any movement, no doubt we would stay again!

It was a very pleasant stay, far from the noise and the truth to rest 100%, the access to the lagoon is a charm and the truth is that the privacy of each guest is respected... super comfortable and super recommended...

It is a beautiful and super clean apartment, they give you everything very clean is a block away from the park and you can save your car without a problem

5 stars for the hosts’ flexibility and willingness to accommodate our changing schedule. The place is as described, and as noted by others: a good pad to explore Bacalar and not a long term stay option, per se. Everything was clean and worked well. The parking is behind a secure gate, and everything feels safe about the location. A nice walk into the town that takes you past a lot of “real Bacalar”.

This is the perfect house for a large group. My party of 10 adults loved the house and the location. The pictures don’t do it justice. We especially appreciated the outdoor kitchen and the use of the Beach Club next door. Our host Luis was very responsive to all my questions. Checking in was a breeze! Pablo the onsite maintenance guy was great. He helped us with so much during our stay and he does a great job maintaining the house and the beach club. Thank you so much Pablo! Our overall experience was amazing and 100 percent recommend staying at this property!

Everything excellent, has space to store the cart which is important when washing machine. Victoria very attentive to messages answered questions immediately The only drawback I could notice is that the ceiling of palapa does not isolate the noise very well, if there are workers around or the guys who enter the middle school, you are sure to wake up early.

Beautiful and quiet, excellent location. We used the kayaks every day and enjoyed the hammocks in front of the Lagoon. The loft-style home setup was great for our family of 4 (2 kids and 2 adults). We’d love to go back again one day!

We stayed for 3 unforgettable days, we were comfortable 6 people and a baby, the kayaks and bicycles were very useful, the kitchen very well equipped, the location perfect near the center of Bacalar. Access to the lagoon made it a great experience, we entered the lagoon at all hours, the incredible sunrise from the kayak Landy was very attentive, she was flexible with the check-in schedule, she was attentive at all times. definitely going back

The house is extremely comfortable, a quiet and far away area, it is easy to go out and find a taxi , or Ana la Sra la sra takes care of the house, looking for some unit, we supported us to go to the pharmacy she on her motorcycle we thank 🏍 her very much for the gesture. The view of the lagoon is impressive to see the 🌅 sunrise even the sunset is an unparalleled peace. we thank the vests saves lives because I don't swim and that gave me security is a deep area and with a lot of stone, but it is worth it . try to bring the essentials to cook if your plan is not to go out , because there is nothing nearby .

Andrea’s place in Bacalar was fantastic!!! The space was clean, comfortable, and even more beautiful than the photos. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into the design and hospitality—every detail was perfect. The location was peaceful and felt like a true getaway, while still being close enough to enjoy everything Bacalar has to offer. Andrea was responsive, kind, informative, and made check-in a breeze. I’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Very nice house. A little far from everything but we really enjoyed the pool, the pier and the kayak rides. The very large master bedroom, large TV with a beautiful view of the pier and the sea. There is a boy who lives there in a room on the property that is always on the lookout for the pool, in the mornings he put the kayaks on the dock to use them and at some point he gave us instructions to go to the village. Definitely worth it and we'll be back soon.

Very nice location with private access to the lagoon. We spent the majority of the time outdoors. Everything is set up in this direction. (Palapa, Hammocks, sun loungers, canoes, BBQ etc) The A/C in the rooms is essential at night, given the temperatures:) The host is very responsive to any questions or issues. We enjoyed a lot during this quiet stay. A real little paradise!

We had an absolutely fabulous time at Teresa’s home! Check in was flexible as we were delayed in Tulum. Teresa’s instructions were always super clear and so we didn’t have any issue finding the house at sunset, also there is a hotel next door with a restaurant in case you miss the supermarket! The house is about 10 minutes away from Bacalar town, it has a perfect view of the lagoon and everything you can need inside. The lagoon is super private as most boat trips are over on the other side of the town also. We absolutely loved being there and surrounded by nature, I would very much recommend the house!

What can I say about this remarkable stay?! This was my birthday trip and everything about it was wonderful. The place looks EXACTLY like the photos! Gorgeous view and they even decorated the suite with rose pedals, a Happy Birthday sign and continued to surprise us with 2 glasses of wine! They truly made my birthday weekend spectacular and we look forward to returning!

Loved this place. It’s peaceful and quite. Really beautiful view of the lagoon and loved that they had kayaks available to guests. Nestor was responsive and nice. Highly recommend this place!

Excellent place. Quiet and very comfortable

We only stayed one night at Xcabel, but it was lovely. It is just a few minutes out of town and really easy to find. We loved the dock and swimming in the lake. The bed was really comfy and the hotel was nice and quiet for some excellent sleeping.
