Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Babergh District

Welcoming light & airy place with tasteful décor, comfy bedding and very comfortable living room. Kitchen though small is incredibly well stocked, both with food (including pantry items and fresh treats provided in fridge) and tools for those that like cooking: we made the most of them! A real cooks' kitchen. Bathroom also has a you-don't-need-to-bring-it completeness. Enchanting garden with outdoor seating, & handsome hens(with delicious free eggs!) for added interest. Nice country walks, and Rebecca & Richard are delightfully friendly, generous, knowledgeable and helpful. A special nook of England!

We had an absolutely wonderful family weekend in Victoria’s beautiful farmhouse. There was everything we needed and the kitchen was very well equipped. All the bedrooms were great and the garden is beautiful - the children loved the trampoline! We also loved having the cats around - very friendly! Thank you so much. We had a great time!

A lovely cottage, warm an snug in the chilly autumn evenings. Very well situated close to Woodbridge with a good pub in the village with excellent food.

We stayed in Katie’s accommodation to celebrate my grandmothers 80th birthday. The accommodation is gorgeous and has everything you need. We really appreciated having an en-suite in every bedroom. Lots of entertaining rooms downstairs and beautiful large garden. Would highly recommend this accommodation for large family gatherings. Perfect for all ages. Thank you

A beautiful, spacious and quirky house. Many historic features kept in the renovations but nothing too precious so the children (aged 9-12) were able to play inside & out. The huge kitchen/dinner/lounge made a great family space to eat or chill out with plenty of furniture for all ten of us. We all enjoyed pottering about in the river behind the house in the little boat & Toby lent us a bigger boat & kayaks for a longer trip in a better part of the river. We toasted marshmallows over the fire pit, cooked pizza in the pizza oven & watched bats flying over the water in the evenings. Good beaches & a cinema are only half an hour drive away and the Emmaus charity shop & cafe (10min in the car, 45min walk) is well worth a visit. Good biscuits in the kitchen when we arrived was a nice touch.

We had a relaxing stay in Julie's cottage, which had everything we needed and a bonus of two bathrooms. The kids enjoyed the toys and the garden. It is really peaceful at night and nearby to the harbour and town so we could walk everywhere and visit the local restaurants and pubs, which were great. Nice lido and playground for children and we recommend taking the harbour ferry to East Mersea. A lovely stay, thankyou.

What can I say , a brilliant experience from start to finish! Lyndsay was a great host , super responsive and helpful throughout , with lots of helpful information regarding the property and surrounding area. The place itself was fantastically decorated and lovely and light , and there was more than enough room for us all (6 Adults and 4 Children). The Kitchen Dining area is a brilliant space to spend time together. The Garden is huge and an ideal outdoor space for games , a bbq or drinks in the Sun , and the garage having a Pingpong table and additional games too was a nice touch. Heating controls were very easy to use and once set , the place soon warms up quickly. It was very easy to find and there is plenty of parking space and the local pub is just a short walk through the churchyard. We chose to have lunch there and it was dead nice and reasonably priced. Overall , Lyndsay was fantastic and so was the Accommodation, the only negative was having to leave! 😁

Lovely hut in a lovely spot. Perfect for a weekend away. The hut was exactly as described and there were a few extra nice touches the hosts provided. Use of a pair of bicycles was great and we enjoyed exploring the area. We would greatly recommend this place and we hope to return at some point in the future.

Good accommodation in a beautiful area, very quiet, perfect for a " getaway." Accommodation was very clean.

We had a great stay, the accommodation was excellent and perfect for us and 2 dogs, the totally enclosed garden was perfect for our dogs and quite a lovely sun trap. Would of liked a shower that you could stand under instead of a hand held showerhead and the water wasn't hot in the morning. A very easy footpath right next to the accommodation, which was a 1.5miles round walk, again great for dogs. All the facilities and utensils are plentiful and clean. Highly recommend

Can't recommend this beautiful little gem highly enough. We came up to stay here as were attending a wedding locally and it was perfect in every way. Quiet, secluded but not off the beaten track and easy to find. Beautiful views, super clean and everything had been thought of. Our hosts were kind, thoughtful and friendly. We feel like we've had a mini holiday, The Lily Pad made our weekend very special. We will be back I hope next time we come up to visit.

peace and nature. The luxury of a beautiful swim spot Charlotte, James and their pets were friendly and responsive but not intrusive So much nature and walks direct from the door. A stylish compact but comfortable studio. A big bathroom with a great shower. A tiny observation...a couple of bigger mugs would have enhanced the morning cuppa made with the lovely soft borehoke/well water

Amanda's flat was perfect for a two night stay for a family wedding. It's a cute, retro decorated flat in a block of four in a cul de sac. It was clean, and the beds and sofa so comfy. Amanda was communicative and helpful when I asked for taxi recommendations. Thanks Amanda!

Anna’s was such a wonderful place to stay for a few days. Very private and quiet, but close to so many attractions if one decided to be adventurous. The space was clean, warm and welcoming. And the hot tub was just the icing on the cake after a long day exploring. We would definitely stay here again and happily recommend to friends and family.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Ben’s cosy cabin. It was a lovely relaxing getaway. The cabin was in a beautiful location with friendly piggies and chirpy birds - it was perfect environment and just what we needed to relax and wind down. The cabin had everything we needed for our 2 night stay.

We had a really nice time here. our children loved playing in the garden and watching the rabbits. the place was perfectly clean and well stocked kitchen for cooking. thank you!

Thanks to Amanda and Adam for a great 3 nights at the Silver Birch Lodge. It was so much to do and the hot tub and fire pit was so amazing… We learnt how to build a fire pit as never done this before so was a good experience. Me and my 8 year old took the bikes out and went around the village with some spectacular views and really friendly people. If you are looking to relax and get away for a few days then this is the place to come really nice from start to finish… Thanks again for being amazing hosts and will definitely come back again!!!

The lodge is beautifully decorated and very clean. We did need help with something there, Charlotte and Billy were very quick to respond and resolved the issue in no time. It’s really spacious inside and all the lamps around really add a homely vibe. We had a lovely time and would definitely return!

Sam was a lovely host , place was a tad difficult to find due to a road closure , but Sam was responsive over the phone and helped sort us now with no issues . Cabin was lovely , forest retreat it is ! Lovely and quiet . And her dogs were lovely . Overall a lovely experience , thank you 😊

I couldn't recommend our stay enough, the cabin was beautiful, absolutely perfect for a peaceful holiday. The highland cows in the garden were lovely and there were bunnies everywhere - so cute to watch while having breakfast in the morning. There are lots of walks to do directly from the cabins without needing to drive anywhere, multiple pubs are also walkable and coming back to a hot tub after a long walk was perfect. Jo and her family were really kind, and put up birthday decorations for us and there was a little hamper with fresh eggs, bread, milk and cakes. Jo replied really quickly to our requests and made our stay as smooth as possible.

Lovely little cabin, just what we wanted for a short getaway. Our second visit didn't disappoint. Bob and Mary were very welcoming. Enjoyed toasting marshmallows in the evenings by the fire bowl, and exploring the local area by day.
