Barn holiday rentals in Atlantic Canada

On a eu un beau séjour d'une semaine et il aurait fallu encore quelques jours.

Large cabin with plenty of bedrooms to accommodate our family's needs. Good location with nearby river access and within easy driving distance to much of what Cape Breton has to offer.

Our team had the best stay! Daniel's place is very spacious with super comfortable beds. We loved cooking in the kitchen and it has everything you could need for a stay away from home. The hosts were super quick at responding to any of our questions. Thank you for accommodating our large group and hopefully we'll be back again soon:)

Lynne’s place was very well appointed, it had everything needed to cook a variety of things, ranging from pasta to lobsters, and had things available for needs that arise (for example, I forgot a razor, they had an ice pack for icing an injury and we needed a couple of AA batteries). It was clean, had a very comfortable bed and was very quiet. Location was excellent for us and just a 8-10 min drive to coffee shops/restaurants in Rockport (which were worth the drive!). So close to beautiful Camden, and also Bar Harbor.

Amazing host, really good place

We had an amazing stay at the Barn. The location is unbeatable—right on a quiet, scenic beach with a beautiful hiking trail just across the road. The outdoor space is peaceful and well thought out, with plenty of spots to sit and enjoy a morning coffee, read a book, or take in the ocean views. The Barn itself has tons of charm, from the cozy interior to the little touches like a dart board and a fully stocked kitchen. The bed was super comfortable, and everything was spotless. We especially loved the clean indoor bathroom and the hot outdoor shower—perfect after a day of exploring. The hosts were very friendly, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. You can tell they’ve put a lot of care into the space. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic stay for a month at a great site with good walking to shops and restaurants in Chester for optional car free days. Would highly recommend repeat stays at this wonderful site for exploring all that the South Shore of Nova Scotia has to offer within an hours drive to Halifax. Liz and John are wonderful hosts and the Barn is very cozy with the energy of 'home' to unwind after some busy days of being out and about.

Karen was terrific, always responding quickly to our questions. The setting and house were beautiful with all the comforts of home. The house was conveniently located for a variety of destinations in DownEast Maine.

Staying at the barn was such an enjoyable experience! Robert was extremely responsive and friendly, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Lovely and clean renovated barn with a cool history. Great for a group of friends or hikers!

Nicole’s house had everything we needed for our month-long stay. The kitchen was well equipped, the house is comfortable, and we loved the screened in porch and large backyard. It’s close very close to barred island and Sylvester cove, a favorite spot for our family. Nicole is very friendly, communicative, and totally on top of anything that needed her attention.

This Airbnb has everything that you could need for a fantastic vacation. It is beautifully appointed and decorated to an exceptionally high standard. it is clear that the owner, Angie, takes great pride in the property. she is also very proactive in contacting guests and checking that everything is okay once they are staying there.

check-in was a breeze, the drawn map was extremely helpful! we had Finnelis and had the BEST pizza doordashed. we explored town, loved the old theatre 🎥 ❤️ the bathroom was a but chilly but the water ran hot! the heat unit was above the bed, but we managed by scooting the bed towards the window (I like to be warm but with a cool draft) LOVED the sunlight in the morning & afternoon! I would definitely stay in the summer just to wake up to the birds and greenery. I'll be back!

The place was private and quiet. It had everything we needed for our stay.very cozy.

This place was medicine for me ! So much more than described and the pictures don’t begin to tell the story of the peace, beauty, salt of the earth feeling of this gem. The apple orchard outside your door is magic in itself (with a lot of hard work reflected )…. The rental space is lovely; spacious , peaceful , comfortable in every way and , well, pure charm! There’s a serene view out every window . Emily and Brien were wonderful hosts , responsive and accommodating in every way . These are people you just want to know ! Hope is the name of the town and that says it all for me . This whole area is a sanctuary with the bustle of gorgeous Camden (and much more) in easy reach, but staying here is an opportunity for personal growth and reflection in an amazing space. It exudes light and love and prompts an inward journey. Whatever you may be healing from , take HOPE right here . I will look forward to returning to ALL , this wonderful place has to offer .

Beautiful place! Quiet, serene and a short drive to restaurants and wineries. The place was perfect for a few days of writing and taking in the valley. Adam was very responsive to messages and had a fire going for when I arrived. I'll definitely be back!

It is an incredibly beautiful place where I was allowed to be. Christiana has furnished the Moose River Cottage and brought it to life with her creativity, understanding of great details and a lot of heart. The expansive view from several sides of the house over the green areas into the woods lets you arrive in the here and now. It is not uncommon to spot one or two animals from the window. If you're looking for more hustle and bustle, Halifax is just three quarters of an hour away by car. The warmth, the great communication and her cheerful and open nature make Christiane the perfect hostess. If you want to get in tune with your inner compass, turn your back on stressful everyday life and have an open heart for the beauty of nature, then the Moose River Cottage is just right for you. I am very grateful for the wonderful and relaxing time and will be back very soon.

Perfect place to get away and such a cool unit. We came for Acadia and enjoyed the drive back to our own vacation spot away from our vacation spot

It was a great location to explore both Acadia National Park and Camden. Easy to get to grocery stores to get supplies to make breakfast in the fully appointed kitchen. Starting my day with a cup of coffee overlooking the beautiful meadow was just what I needed to begin a vacation day off right.

The barn is a really special place on a really amazing island. There are so many hidden gem areas on this island. It’s a true place to get away, explore and have some time in a secluded place, but still close to some amazing things. I was at the barn for 4 nights. Went to Acadia and bar harbor one day and hunkered down the other 2 as it was raining. The places to explore on the island are beautiful, even in the rain and allowed me to have some time away from reality. Highly recommend staying in the cranberry isles…especially at Judi/Chong’s place.

What an unforgettable memory at Anne-Marie’s place! We sat in Adirondack chairs overlooking the vineyard in the early evening, watching the birds darting in and out of the trees, as we sipped on a lovely bottle of her wine that she had generously left for us. So restful and peaceful — and only a few minutes from the many attractions of Port Williams and Wolfville. Highly recommended!

All the previous reviews indicated we would love this location, the setting, the caring of the host....we were inspired to join Airbnb to just be able to stay here!!! The beauty of the surroundings is remarkable and we admire the care taken to keep it in its refined natural state. We are so thankful we took the description and reviews to heart! We now have another great Maine memory!

We were so glad we found this little cabin to spend part of our vacation in! Greg and Karen thought of everything when creating this space! Book it, you won’t be disappointed!

Alan is very welcoming and helpful. The lights and electronics are all very efficient and eco-friendly. And what an amazing bonus, to have top-class music fifty steps from our door! Gorgeous views of Cadillac Mountain, all lovely. Acadia is an hour away, Blue Hill Peninsula has lots going on, and Bucksport and Deer Isle are a short drive away. We will visit again.
