Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Athens

The home was very cozy and great for a private getaway. Proximity to the highway made getting to the National Forrest and the nearby towns very easy.

Our stay was perfect. The house is prettier in person than in the pictures! (And the pictures are great) It was private, clean and peaceful. We would love to come stay again.

We stayed here for our son's graduation from OU. The house was clean and well stocked, including spring water and coffee/creamers available. It was a quick ride back to campus. Overall, we were very satisfied with the experience.

Tammy’s home was great! The place was clean and had so many thoughtful amenities. Location was perfect distance from town and from hiking at the park! Would definitely come back!

Beautiful cabin with a beautiful view! The porches are incredible. Vicki was very sweet when I had to reschedule (twice) due to some family health issues. Very grateful we were finally able to make the trip and had a relaxing stay!

Excellent location if you want to get away and enjoy a little peace and quiet. The house is stocked with more than what you would expect and there are many extra little touches that make your stay special. Holly is very responsive. We really enjoyed our stay will return I'm sure!

The house is beautiful- high ceilings, natural woodwork … really a beautiful example of rural Italianate. Large workable kitchen… we did light snacks after Saturday’s performance at Stuart’s Opera House and made Mother’s Day Breakfast the next morning. There was a large selection of pots and pans but I would recommend if there is a specific type of pan you need that you ask beforehand. Refrigerator is large and newer… plenty of space for drinks, snacks, dinner ingredients, etc. I did not notice an ice maker but there was a upopened bag of ice in freezer. There are dollar stores nearby and larger big box stores in Logan or Athens if you need something after you arrive. Mattresses were comfortable and the upstairs windows have room darkening shades. The driveway is a bit tight if you have a larger SUV but there is plenty of parking on the street if need be.

Cindy has an amazing place to stay that was easily accessible for my family. Although we had a-lot of running around for my son’s graduation, it was nice to have a place to go back to rest up. Sorry we didn’t have time to meet face to face, but Cindy answered any emails promptly. We definitely recommend Cindy’s place to our friends that have children at Ohio U and want a close place to stay in the future. If we ever plan a trip back, we w look yo book again. Cozy spot in quiet, small town Albany above a lively corner cafe. We stayed here for a month during the holidays to visit nearby family and enjoyed our stay. Gregg has added a ton of thoughtful touches (decor, comfy blankets/pillows, plenty of seating) that make for a nice area to hangout, large beds in both bedrooms and a well stocked kitchen for cooking. The apartment is on the second floor above a cafe at an intersection so there is some neighborly noise but it’s great for a coffee lovers waking up to the smell of freshly roasted and steps from the cafe. Gregg is extremely responsive and friendly for any/all requests and messages. We would definitely stay here again if we’re in the area and would recommend if you’re looking for a nice two bedroom stay near Athens

Syd was so considerate as to meet us with an umbrella because it was raining when we arrived! She is truly a delight and a great host. Her space is homey and welcoming. We would love to stay again :)

My husband and I stayed at Idyll Reserve 5 (The North) for two nights in January and had a fabulous stay! 🌲❄️ The cabin was thoughtfully designed, tastefully decorated, and very spacious for the two of us (& could accommodate a small family easily). It had all the amenities you’d need for a cozy stay — spacious, fully-stocked kitchen (with coffee & espresso maker! ☕️), comfy couch, living room with large windows & beautiful views of the surrounding woods, walk-in double shower & soaking tub, and our personal favorites — the outdoor hot tub and sauna! Laura was extremely responsive and communication regarding check-in was the best I’ve had with an Airbnb host. We could have easily stayed several more days. Hocking Hills State Park is just a ~10 minute drive away (we did some gorgeous hiking to Ash Cave, Old Man’s Cave, and Cedar Falls all within a half day). We’re already planning our next trip back with our kids! 🥰

Nice, small, relaxing place with a pond. Close to Downtown McArthur. Easy checkin. Nice people. Will definitely stay again.

I would highly recommend this to anyone! This place was phenomenal and quiet and peaceful. Christine and Matt went beyond what anyone would expect. A lot of extra’s that you would not expect, like smores for the fire out back, snacks and drinks, a cheesecake, tooth paste, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Extremely clean, extra blankets, pillows, robes, many towels, this place is extra clean, quiet. There is a hot tub, and a fire pit for the relaxing evenings. We will return without hesitation. Thank you Matt and Christine you two are the best, and very appreciated more than you know. Thank you again.

We had a wonderful time at Gretchen’s place in Athens! It was private, comfortable, and beautiful inside and outside. We loved the natural light and the amazing wraparound porch. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful retreat! I stayed by myself as a little momma get away and it was perfect. The Zucchini bread is as good as everyone says! The hot tub was wonderful! The hosts were extremely responsive whenever I needed anything and really helpful! There are even games and toys for kids/toddlers if that is what you’re doing. I of course was vacationing FROM the kids toys lol but I love that if we go back there are things for the kids. Be advised that this is a basement apartment so you’ll hear footsteps and sometimes muffled voices just like you would in any house. It didnt bother me at all! The views are spectacular and the property is just so peaceful. 10/10 would recommend for sure!!
