The apartment is on the grounds of our main family residence but is completely separate with it’s own private entrance, accessed through the garden gate. What a find! Absolutely perfect for our three night stay in York. Secure parking with EV charging and we didn’t use the car at all once we’d arrived. 45 minute pleasant walk to the centre or bus stop literally right outside the door. Also got an Uber back after a night out and was less than £8. There are local pubs and shops within a few minutes walk too. The place is exactly as shown in the photos, absolutely spotless, with comfy bed and good quality bedding. Carolyn is an excellent host, great local info and perfect level of communication…providing all the information and responsive to messages but also left us in peace :)

Catherine is the ideal relaxed host. (and a baking angel, thank you, Catherine!) The apartment was large, bigger than we expected, and spotlessly clean. The location was ideal for our weeks stay, lovely peaceful surroundings, but easy drive to a great shopping centre with good park & ride into York, also 1 hour access to Whitby, Harrogate (Harlow Carr), Rievaulx and Fountains.

The accommodation is very well appointed, clean and tidy. Amanda is a very friendly, helpful and responsive host. Overall, a very comfortable and relaxing stay that we would be happy to revisit - highly recommended!

Perfect location for a family gathering in the neighboring village of Askham Bryan. Beautiful countryside, lovely hiking right out the door. Accommodation was very comfortable and Lesley was an excellent host, always responsive, and provided much appreciated treats.
