The place was definitely worth the price. The hosts are kind enough to allow guests to use almost all spaces in the home, including a fully stocked kitchen and a balcony with an amazing view.

Allison's place is A+ what a gem I found to stay at while visiting the east bay. The rolling green hills in February and March are an artists dream. The spectacular view of the bay and far distant City of San Francisco invites you to take the Bart or drive over The Bay Bridge to have a date like the songs says with "The City by The Bay". Her accommodations are perfect for one who needs some space with a room to sleep and the other to lounge and watch a movie with some popcorn. with a full bathroom in between. but you will enjoy using her beautiful sheek kitchen and be careful to stay focus of your cooking and not get distracted with the view of the bay. All in all Allison's place is 5 stars in my book.

My partner and I chose to stay here to do a working staycation as we both work remote. The dining table was large enough for us to work from and even though we were indoors all day, it wasn’t stifling because as pictured the space was truly spacious and well arranged to perfectly fit a kitchen, dining room, living room and bedroom all in one space. Everything was clean and there were lots of cleaning supplies and cooking supplies we had the opportunity to make use of during our stay. Because the property is located on the main road, you can hear the cars that sometimes speed by at night, but it’s otherwise quite peacefully tucked away behind a fence. Being able to park in the driveway was such a nice plus as well.

I'll definitely book with Mark again the next time I'm in the bay area! I stayed overnight last minute so I wouldn't have to drive as far the morning of my spa appt in the Bay. I messaged Mark beforehand to ask if I could book the day of, and he was super friendly and flexible. Located in beautiful, safe neighborhood, Mark's place is right next to a shopping center and not too far from the freeway. The room was just as described, very clean and comfortable. The bed was one of the comfiest beds I've slept in at an Airbnb! Mark and his dog Raven are so friendly and communicative. I felt comfortable immediately upon arrival. Mark gave me a tour of his place and we enjoyed a nice chat until I crashed in the room. O highly recommend Mark's spot.

I was looking for a safe, affordable weekend spot near the ocean where my dog Luna could swim—and nearly gave up. Then I found Milt’s place in the Oakland Hills. A Superhost? All 5-star reviews? At that price? Yes, please. The space is peaceful, private, and full of character—birds in the morning, hens in the backyard, and Milt himself: a kind, responsive host (and a fantastic cook—if you get the chance to share breakfast on a weekend, don’t pass it up 😉). The bed is firm and comfy, and the outdoor lighting is thoughtfully placed—great for nighttime potty breaks (for the pup)! The neighborhood is warm and welcoming. Location-wise, it’s got EZ freeway access, nearby hikes, and it’s a quick drive to Jack London Square for patios, markets, and a breezy stroll. We made it to Ocean Beach for a swim, and back at Milts place, Luna and I were invited to a local block (college graduation) party and treated like old friends. We left feeling safe, rested and just plain spoiled. Book it!
