House holiday rentals in Ashbourne

We had a lovely time staying at the Old Angel with a large group of women. The sheer number of bathrooms was super handy with the large group number, and the living and dining spaces were super functional for a group of our size. There is a one half freezer and a large fridge, which Nicola had left some treats in which was a lovely touch. Bedrooms were well organised and very clean, with towels provided. There’s a village shop right next door, and a pub 20 meters away which was glorious in the May sunshine. Nicola and her team were very helpful in response to any questions/feedback we we had - overall we had a lovely stay and I would recommend this place to others!

What a wonderful stay at Manor Farm. The house was beautiful, well maintained, extremely spacious and very comfortable. The surrounding countryside was stunning, with great food being served in nearby pubs and plenty of places to visit. Great space for youngsters too, with the wildlife - baby rabbits, sheep and birds and of course the swimming pool and games room, all of which they loved. Thanks to the hosts for their welcome and hospitable atmosphere.

Great value for money. Can't stress enough how friendly and reliable the staff were. We had a lovely week stay, the house was clean, the beds were comfy and the scenery was perfect. We were informed of the booking system for the swimming pool and games room, so you could have the room to yourself which was great. The pool was clean, the games room was kept tidy and the house surroundings were really lovely to walk around. You can tell the grounds were well maintained and kept in good shape as the workers never stopped, but were always so friendly. This property is perfect for bike riders, walkers and pub crawlers. You couldn't get bored.

Fabulous place - we stayed for a week - with 2 teenagers, a preteen and our dog - great field opposite to run the dog morning and evening. Plenty of beautiful walks straight from the front door. 45 minutes to nearest place to eat out. Facilities were great - lots of swimming and football played by our kids. Thanks for a great stay.

We had a lovely 2 night family break at Peacock Barn over October half term. It's a beautiful property with fantastic amenities and perfectly located for exploring the many sites and activities the area has to offer. The swimming pool and games room provided the children with a space to play and have fun which was a key factor for choosing this property. The garden was great for our dog providing plenty of space to run around and secure, providing peace of mind. It would be the perfect spot to enjoy during the summer months. We will definitely be returning. Thanks for having us!

Me and my family really enjoyed our stay! The place was clean and there was plenty of space for all 8 of us (and our dog!). The area is stunning, very quiet with plenty of nice walks. The pool/games room area is shared with the other cottages, which wasn't made clear when booking. We thought it was part of our cottage, which we were slightly disappointed to find out this wasn't the case. However, overall we'd still consider staying here again!

Well what can I say… if I could give 100 stars I would! Phillipa was amazing. She was so helpful and supportive to me organising my sisters low key hen do here. We had the most amazing time - the perfect cottage. We made friends with lambs, soaked in the hot tub, chilled and ate pies at the red lion! We really felt at home and it was so so special. Phillipa added so many personal touches and we even got to meet one of her little doggies Stanley. Phillipa we WILL be back! Thank you!!!!

We had a great stay, lovely little house and we felt right at home. We had an issue with the tv and I messaged Katherine, she was quick to respond and offered to come over and fix it that day. Thankfully she wasn’t needed as we managed to sort it. We would definitely book again :)

Lovely little cottage that proved to be an ideal base for visiting the area. Very clean, Soozey was an excellent host, messaging us to let us know that we could access the cottage earlier than the advertised check in time if needed.

So enjoyed our stay at the Old Wash House. Everything was perfect from location to cottage & hosts couldnt have been any more accommodating. So many special touches from the freshly baked warm bread hanging on our door in the morning to the fire lit for our arrival. We loved it all & def hope to return ❤️ 😍

The house was beautiful, and if possible exceeded our expectations. We were blessed with weather much better than that predicted, and were therefore able to take advantage of the close proximity of the property to Bakewell town, the Monsal Trail and enjoy the views from the patio at the property. We look forward to visiting again.

Absolutely beautiful cottage and was made to feel at home. Perfect location for a relaxing few days, and the dog loved the secure garden. Cottage was homely inside and had all the necessary amenities, the milk and brownies were a lovely added touch. Will definitely return, cannot fault it. Sarah was also lovely and very friendly and helpful.

Had a lovely family holiday at this lovely house, had everything we needed and more, the surroundings are beautiful, perfect for our dog and is a great central location for the rest of the peak district.

Had a lovely few days in Ashbourne. Bungalow lovely with a large sitting room/dining room with open plan kitchen. Large back garden that we were able to enjoy having had beautiful weather. 15 min walk into town down hill - but meant 15 min walk uphill - we caught a bus once. 😀

One of the best Airbnb’s we’ve ever stayed at! Jane was a lovely host, so responsive and helpful, and had thought of everything! Property was spotless and well stocked, especially the kitchen which had everything you could need. All beds were very comfortable, showers and bath were fabulous! We stayed with our three year old and one year old, the house is very child friendly and baby safe. Location is ideal for the short walk to Tutbury and for drives around the local area. Would absolutely stay again, highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay here with our three children. The house was ideally located for our visit to Alton Towers. The house was equipped with everything we needed and a perfect place for a family break. Sian gave us clear easy instructions so absolutely easy to access property. We also really liked Ashbourne which had lovely shops, restaurants, a beautiful park and everything was easily accessible from walking distance from the house.

We had a lovely stay at The Honey Pot, the village itself is very peaceful and sits quite high up so the views were amazing. Its location was great for what we wanted to do and has great pubs within a short drive. It is well maintained and kept very clean throughout and the hot tub is great for relaxing at the end of the day. Super comfy bed and pillows and has lovely diffusers spread around the house. a magical stay, that was just what we needed. we had lots of fun wild swimming, using the kayaks, BBQ and lots of lovely walks near by. Great for families or a romantic getaway. We feel we have found a very special place, and hope to come back soon to create more happy memories

Our stay at Sunshine Cottage was absolutely wonderful! The cottage itself is beautiful, and it's clear a lot of thought has gone into making it pretty, comfortable, and full of everything you need for a fantastic stay. We had such a lovely time here - a beautiful location and little touches that made us feel so welcome and at home. A lovely private, peaceful location, ideal enclosed garden space for the dog to run around in and gorgeous views for yoga and meditation outside. It was lovely getting to know Shirley and Maurice too, really was a great stay. We’ve never revisited an Airbnb but are already thinking about coming back - Louie the dog loved it as much as we did 😊
